Maybe Sammy was cleaning the room when she called in.

Maybe she's going to end the call, strip the bed, and put the blankets in the laundry.

Maybe she's going to put them in the dryer, or hang them out to dry later.

Maybe she'll leave them to dry, either just overnight in the dryer while she sleeps, or hanging from a clothesline.

Maybe she'll get a phone call in the middle of the night, or at the crack of dawn. Or in the morning, as she goes to remove the freshly-laundered sheets, cleaned of Brooklynn's scent. Fresh. New.

Yaz is in Wyoming on her campus.

Sammy just recently dyed her hair when Brooklynn stopped by. A sign of devotion. Brooklynn really pledged her love to Sammy to get her through these times and promise that nothing's going to change. They have a bond that will never be broken.

Darius is in his cabin. Since it's midday, I'm assuming this is a Saturday or Sunday.

Ben's university might be on the East Coast, but Chicago is also miles and miles away from Wyoming, so...as Brooklynn says, getting her time zones mixed up is a thing.
