Hey guys so as you may know, I was flagged as explicit for a while. I filled out an appeal twice on Tumblr support and never got a response. Here’s a picture of what my blog looked like.

As you can see, my icon is blurred.

I thought that maybe I had a picture with something that the bot messed up and thought was inappropriate or something so I looked at my flagged posts.

Nothing. So, I decided to be stupid and petty and change my profile picture and caption.

The same day, I am no longer marked as explicit. What the fuck tumblr?

‘Temporary’ Names

Vet clinics often have litters of kittens to raise. Either they’re too young for a shelter, too sickly, or the clinic intends to adopt them out when they’re big enough. Whatever the reason, nurses often end up raising kittens and giving them ‘temporary’ names. 

The intention of these temporary names is that if you give the kitten a stupid name, you have something to call it other than ‘the middle black male’, but because it’s a stupid name you wont get emotionally attached and end up keeping it. Again. 

Which is how some nurses end up with cats that have names like ‘Flea bus’ and ‘Trash bag’.

I used to work at an amusement park. I specifically worked in the Games Department which meant that I dealt with angry customers when they lost and angry managers when they won. One day, it was raining. Due to the severity of the storm, this resulted in the rides getting closed. Typically, when this occurs, one of two things happens: 1.) People flood to the games. 2.) People go home. On this particular day, the customers were heading home disappointed. Most of them simply left but one lady in particular decided that this was unacceptable. Naturally, instead of heading to customer service or a rides attendant, she decides that the best way to complain about a ride being shut down was to walk PAST all of the rides in order to reach me, someone in one of the games. She was furious. She storms up to me and demands an explanation for the rides being closed. I respond by politely telling her that the weather conditions make riding them unsafe. She then tells me to “STOP THE RAIN!” I’m not going to lie. I paused for a moment. At first, I thought she was joking because surely she did not just ask me to stop the rain. But she didn’t falter. Instead, she stared at me, demanding her request to be met. So, stifling a laugh, I responded that I could not do that. She asked me “Why not?” I told her that changing the weather was beyond my capabilities. She demanded to speak to my manager. Now, amusement parks are kind of weird. Since the park is so big, employees don’t really have any way to contact their managers. If they experience a problem, they have to wait for the manager to check on them to report it. Not only do they have no idea where their manager is at any given time, they also are expressly forbidden from leaving their game because they constantly have money on them. So, I really couldn’t contact my supervisor. I explained that to the customer and told her she was welcome to wait with me until my manager arrived. This made her even angrier. She yelled at me for a while (while my manager was still missing) before eventually deciding to simply ask for a refund. I told her that I worked in Games and had nothing to do with admissions so I couldn’t give her a refund. She cursed at me a bit before pausing and then saying that I clearly had money on me because she saw me selling my game to customers before it started raining. I told her that the money was not mine to give away and directed her to customer service so they could better assist her. Once again, she cursed at me and claimed that I was the worst customer service rep she’s ever encountered. At this point, I wished that I actually could control the weather so I could zap her with a lightning bolt. She proceeded to yell at me for a couple of more minutes before sighing, asking me for directions to the customer service person I reccommended earlier, and leaving with a final “f*** you”.
