Listening to the whole Bastards vs Zombies! series again and this bit of nostalgia popped in my head. Also some head canons.

One of these days Partner will get his voice back and he’ll have mastered his powers making him a little more brazen with Atilla. Partner won’t be AS afraid of him so he’ll bite back when Atilla insults him.

Atilla will start “liking” him more because of it. Still doesn’t fully like him, but most of his threats are now empty. But he won’t do anything because of Partner’s bond with Mahtma. He doesn’t like seeing the poor cinnamon roll upset.

Albus and Hipswitch are sitting while Partner and Atilla are throwing shade at each other and Albus says he sometimes misses the days Partner couldn’t speak. Hipswitch will just sigh disapprovingly of everything around him.

If they argue in public and someone comes up and tries to get them to stop, their fight is over and both men turn on the new face, teaming up to make them leave.

Also I just see Atilla being stabby.

So imagine Darlin' dies. Don't know when, but that irrelevant rn. They're in their wolf form in that damn black river. Absolutely fighting it and trying to make their way to shore.

They're being told that have to make their way down but they don't trust the figure infrastructure of them. And after a while, who really knows how long, someone else seems to be making their way through. Another stubborn soul.

Darlin' sees their struggling and gets close enough for the person to grab ahold of their back. They make it to shore. Once again, it is explained that they have to make the journey down the river. This new soul is more willing to listen.

"Don't know 'bout you or where we are, but we can't stay. I know you know that as well as I do."

Darlin' huffed and shifted.

"I... I'm scared. How are we supposed to trust this guy? He doesn't even know what'll happen to us." They asked, arms tucking under their knees.

"Well. I know this place isn't meant for us. A lil' too dark for my likin'. We can go together. And if it sucks, you can bite my head off for leadin' you astray." The brown eyed stranger stood before helping them up.

Before he could completely let go of their hands, Darlin' held onto one of his hands tighter.

Could this have been made into a proper fic? Sure.

D.A.M.N crew head cannons

-As a kid Damien would stay up late and read under the covers

-Huxley’s moms names are Jade and Ruby, both are earth elementals

-Gavin’s go to slushee is Pinà Colada and blue raspberry

-Freelancer’s loves reading, they’re the kind of person who has a new book every few days

-Gavin loves to have freelancer sleep on his left side and have Caelum on his chest, he sleeps on the right side of the bed which is the closest to the door

-every night for years Lasko would text all his friends good morning and good night texts, he only stopped after the intervention

-Huxley is one of the people who can do the Alphabet backwards, he did it so much as a kid, he struggles to sing it forward

-Damien had seen basically every studio Ghibli film, after a hard day he’d make sure no one else was home and cry while watching Howls moving Castle

-Huxley can carry everyone in the easily (is this one cannon??)
