Just recently found out about this lovely lady. She voiced almost all the female characters from South Park in the beginning. But her career as a voice actress spans over 400 television commercials and over 100 cartoon, film, and video game characters. Including the voice of Snow White and the original Timmy Turner from Fairly Odd Parents.

If you were a 90s kid who lived on Disney, Scooby-Doo and several other popular cartoons of the sort. You’ve probably heard her voice. She was a tremendously talented woman but also suffered greatly from generalized anxiety disorder and depression. She grew increasingly fearful that she would lose her gift and that people would notice/end her career.

Thus, Mary Kay Bergman sadly succumbed to suicide in 1999. I deliberately took this picture from an old tumblr post out of respect because it shared unnecessary and gruesome detail about her death. 

People like Mary should not have their memory tainted by their final moments. By all accounts, she was a wonderful human being and much loved by everybody that knew her. Her creative force belongs to the childhoods of so many and that will forever outshine her demons.
