A little picture of the Na'vi brothers Oital and Mekanei. Oital takes after his mother and grandfather, as he has developed the grayish coloring, while his younger brother.

I don't know how many hours I put into this picture...

but I like it! I also used some acrylic markers to add a few subtle highlights. I could perhaps be a bit bolder with them, but I don't really dare 😅

I'm slowly getting to the coloring...

I didn't get much done this weekend because I still had to do the lineart and flesh it out...

More small details will follow at the end with acrylic markers.

Ra'lak led I'sora into the depths of the underwater labyrinth, which lies beneath his home village and has been guarded by his tribe for generations. While it was a long dive for I'sora to reach the depths, together with Ra'lak and a riding ilu, she made it.

The young Reef Na'vi man initially reluctant to take her here, to comply with her requests, but ultimately, he couldn't say no.

Especially since I'sora says she had heard "voices" from the depths of the labyrinth that had reached the very surface. Neither she nor he yet understands that I'sora herself has a connection to the ancient legend of the village's ilu.

Especially since she isn't a Reef Na'vi. Yes, it's just another rough sketch, and Ra'lak is standing on a slightly lower stone platform than I'sora.

I'm itching to work out all the sketches.

Somehow, Miles managed to convince the top commander at the RDA base he'd been assigned to that he could help them get what they wanted from the Na'vi woman.

He was surprised that he'd been given the chance. Even though he'd acted mostly out of his own best interests, as this woman simply wouldn't leave his mind.

They wanted to give him access to her cell, but he wanted her taken to his quarters.

This was done, but she was drugged and bound.

In addition, they had taken everything she had owned as a Na'vi. Her traditional clothing, the jewelry, the small beads she wore in her hair. Even her songcord, which embodied so many memories for Na'vi...

Miles untied her bonds...

Partly, he'd expected the Na'vi to attack him, but she just snarled at him.

He sighed, wondering aloud what he was thinking, taking on this task.

He smiled briefly, amused at himself, and said to the Na'vi, "You probably don't even understand what I'm saying."

The woman laid her ears back a little.

"I understand what you're saying very well, but I don't talk to just any old fishxawng..." she answered with a strong accent.

And I finally have a little idea for the traditional tattoo he's wearing.

One of several to come. He's supposed to take over his tribe as the new Olo'Eyktan someday, when the time comes...

but then I don't dare, because I'm always an outsider everywhere and have never found a place in any groups... *Big sigh*

Especially since people are a bit slower to respond in English, as it's not my native language...

When Quaritch was transferred to the other base, which he definitely didn't like, having been forced to resign from his current position, he was given a tour of the somewhat smaller RDA base.

He was shown the research section with field research opportunities and also one of the few Na'vi being held there.

Something about her struck the RECOM as odd, not related to her rather unusual coloring with the distinctive lighter body areas. He was explained that they wanted to use the Na'vi for RECOM innovations.

Nothing more... not yet.

I drew Tawem :D!!

Had to simplify a bit his clothings for my sake but besides that I had a lot of fun.

Sometimes I wonder if it's wrong to try to tell stories with my drawings and sketches that seemingly hardly anyone is interested in.

But somehow I keep going and going anyway... because I'm having fun.

Miranda is part of a three-person recon team known as Destiny. Her job is actually to secure the RDA's extensive testing grounds from intruders and ensure compliance with regulations on the grounds.

Her team, along with Team Phoenix, was supposed to be a kind of secret weapon, but at times she and her teammates seemed unsuitable for the project.

After Quartich encountered Jake and Neytiri's children and the confrontation went awry (without him kidnapping Spider), he was transferred to another RDA base. There, he encountered a captured Na'vi.

After trying to convince her to cooperate (which didn't work), he still can't get her out of his head...

I also need to practice male characters, so this quick exercise came in handy.

Since the page seemed too empty to me, I simply sketched two arm jewelry ideas for the two men to wear.
