Hiii, can I get a continuation of failed escape attempt from creepy/intamite whumper?
Hi Anon! Of course, coming right up!
Part 1 here
Whumpee’s eyes fluttered open to an unfortunately familiar ceiling. Their heart sank as the grogginess faded from their mind and the events of last night resurfaced. Tears stung their eyes; they never should have tried to escape.
Their bedroom door opened with a click, and Whumper stepped inside, carrying a tray of breakfast.
Whumpee sniffled and tried to will their tears to stop. They only fell faster, leaving wet streaks down their face. Whumper set the tray on the nightstand.
“Shh, shh,” they said, petting Whumpee’s hair, “it’s all right. It’s going to be all right.”
Whumper removed the padded restraints long enough to gently maneuver Whumpee into an upright position. They slipped them back on, tightening them enough that they couldn’t be wriggled out of.
“Wh-Whumper-” Whumpee pleaded, “please-”
Whumper cut them off.
“I said a few days, my love, and I have to see that through. I can’t just go back on my word, now can I?”
Whumper took a bowl of oatmeal from the tray and held a spoonful of it to Whumpee’s lips. Whumpee knew all too well that it wasn’t dusted with just cinnamon sugar. They swallowed, then let their lips part so Whumper could feed them.
“Very good,” they cooed, “you’re taking your punishment so well.”
Once the bowl was empty, Whumper helped them drink a glass of juice. They got them up and out of the restraints just long enough to freshen up in the bathroom, then started to lead them back down the hall.
Whumpee stumbled, their knees going weak. They knew it was coming, but they hadn’t expected the drugs to kick in that fast. Whumper caught them before they could hurt themselves.
“There there, I’ve got you,” Whumper said, “let’s get you back to bed.”
Whumpee would’ve preferred to crawl there by themselves, but Whumper tilted them back, lifting them into another bridal carry. They tucked them in bed, slipping the restraints on once more before pulling the covers up past their shoulders. Whumpee’s world spun, and they felt the beginnings of nausea swirling in their stomach. They hated the way the drugs made them feel, even though they were quickly losing the clarity to think about that.
Whumper pressed a kiss to the crown of their head. They distantly felt the teeth of a comb gliding down their scalp and through their hair. Whumpee’s stomach twisted, and they fought back the instinct to gag.
Whumper set the comb down, separating their hair into three sections and weaving a neat little braid. It was a bit lopsided, given the fact that Whumpee was laying down throughout the process, but it still held its form well enough.
Whumper let out a dreamy sigh.
“Sweet thing,” they said, “are you learning your lesson?”
A feeble whine forced its way past Whumpee’s lips. The dizzy spell had become intense, and the nausea was growing. They wished they could just pass out completely so they wouldn’t have to feel any of it. They saw Whumper smile through blurred vision.
“Sounds like you are,” they said, “you’re doing so well for me, darling, so well.”
Whumpee screwed their eyes shut at the next wave of sickness. They couldn’t control their gag reflex. They turned on their side as much as their restraints would allow, and emptied their breakfast into a large wastebin that Whumper had positioned beside their bed. Whumpee groaned, tears forming in their eyes once more.
Whumper wiped their face off with a damp cloth, shushing them in a deceptively soothing tone. Whumpee whimpered in their sickly state. Their punishment wasn’t anywhere close to being finished, and they knew Whumper was secretly enjoying every minute of it. They only hoped they would pass out and be unconscious through lunch and dinner.
Thank you so much for choosing the Whump Drive Thru, come back soon!
You have been served by Piplup aka Fluffle!

“Pft." Whumpee scoffed. "You don’t care about me.”
Whumper blinked, at a loss. “How could you say that?”
“How could I say that?” Whumpee mocked, eyebrows raised.
His voice tore out of him, spit flying. “Look at me!”
Whumpee stood in the light, and for what felt like the first time, Whumper really saw him.
“Normal people wouldn’t do this to someone they love.”

Thinking fondly about the moment of capture. That moment of restraints clicking shut, of Whumpee trying to move and not. Or maybe multiple kinds of restraints - feeling as their freedom diminishes, as they can struggle less and less <3

Whump prompt:
The Team has been captured by Whumper who orders them locked away until further notice.
As the Team is being escorted away, Whumper suddenly stops the procession and points at Whumpee.
“No,” Whumper says. “Not that one. They and I are overdue for a conversation, privately.”

exiled royal whumpee, on the run from a malevolent army that's conquered their kingdom.
they're keeping a low profile, hooded cloak pulled low over their face, hiding somewhere public but obscure, like a hole-in-the-wall pub or the like.
all of a sudden, they feel someone throw an arm around their shoulders.
"hey, fancy seeing you here."
whumpee turns to look at the mystery person, and, to their slowly mounting horror, sees one of the enemy leader's lieutenants, holding a mug of ale and looking as casual as can be.
whumpee starts to panic, trying to wiggle away, but the lieutenant tightens their grip.
"hey, chill. i'm not gonna hurt you." they say, taking a swig of their ale. "i'm actually here to tell you somewhere you could hide better."
whumpee looks at them incredulously.
they shrug. "hey, take it or leave it. but our army's been combing the land pretty thoroughly, someone'll find you eventually, and they won't be so kind." another swig of their drink. "sure, you were the prince(ss) or whatever, but you're an innocent in all this. it'd suck to have to see you die for nothing."
the lieutenant gives them a hearty pat on the back. "consider it, alright? i'll be here 'til the place closes." and then they walked away.
whumpee just stared after them, their mind thoroughly boggled.
this was still their enemy, they reminded themself. a subleader in the army that wants them dead. they couldn't be sure that the advice the lieutenant offered wasn't just a trap.
but did they really have many other options?

Hot Take: Clair Obscur E33 Endings Aren't Enough
BIG spoilers for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 here as I need to rant and get things about this game off of my chest. Read below the line at your own risk
With that out of the way, I'll go ahead and say it.
Neither Maelle's nor Verso's ending is good enough.
Before people comment and go off that "I don't get the whole message of the game" and "there isn’t supposed to be a 'happily ever after because real life grief doesn't work that way", I do truly get what the game is going for. Believe me. I understand why Verso's ending is the good ending from the perspective of wanting what's best for Alicia and the rest of the Dessendre family.
But that's just it. It's what's best for the Dessendre family. But what isn't talked about or well realized, I feel, is that this isn't JUST about the Dessendre family. I've played games like Nier: Automata and Nier: Replicant where the ideas of 'what is life' and 'what does it mean to BE alive' are explored. We spend dozens of hours - hell, a whole TWO ACTS - with these beings, these people, this WORLD of living, sentient things, be it humans or nevrons, that have thir own lives, their own feelings, their own memories. We're shown throughout most of the story that they want the chance to live, to EXIST! Yet for the betterment of the Dessendre family, these people who play god and create lives, this whole world and all the living things in it just have to DIE?!
I understand that it's best for Aline and Alicia to leave the canvas, and for painted Verso and what's left of real Verso's soul to be put to rest, but I feel like SURELY there can be SOME middle ground here. That Renoir can SAY the canvas has been destroyed, but put it somewhere until his family has well and truly moved on, to be revealed at a later date that it still exists, just so the whole world that was given sentience and life doesn't have to pay the price for the "gods" who created them.
Also, how are we, at the drop of a hat, to let go of these beings JUST because they're "not real"? Just because they can't exist in the real world, they don't matter?! Yes, Maelle's ending isn’t a good one either because she basically treats the people in it as puppets she controls, not really letting them live their own lives. But for the only endings to be two total extremes, all hinging on members of the Dessndre family, just seems to be going against MOST of the whole plot of the game! Especially the whole first act!
I understand that Alicia and Aline need to be removed from temptation and not try to live in a fake reality of what they want and not what's actually there. But I'm not upset because of the family not having Verso, or just wanting a 'happy ever after where you can have your cake and eat it too'. It's more that why does a whole world of living things with their own lives and sentience have to hinge on what's best for the family that created them?
Rant over. There better be more story eventually, whether it's DLC or an eventual sequel, because there's so much more to explore here. I'm REALLY hoping for a third ending DLC as Sandfall hinted at already having DLC ideas before the game was even done, so we'll see.
