this premise and the podcast name sounds identical to ones already created by blogs you have interacted/sourced from before. it’s not as though they own the idea or anything, but the podcast name is almost the exact same. i think y��all should change the name at the very least.

anon im gonna be 100% honest i ( dino ) was the one to suggest the name back when i wasnt nearly as active/present on tumblr as i am now while teoki was the one to suggest a podcast in the first place after wanting to develop one for years, and we've had this concept n these ocs for a good few months now ( i wanna say since late last year? iirc ). 'swingin the hatchet' as a phrase isnt something we created by any means but i dont see why we need to change the name bc of coincidences and considering its a literal lyric from npmd, ofc its gonna be referenced more than once by other ppl + i personally have yet to see a podcast group in hatchetblr. ++ even if the premise is similar, i dont see why we need to completely change our group bc of this when we most likely will not interact w these other groups u've mentioned ( not bc we dont want to tbh i think thatd be sick as hell, but bc i dont think us having this blog for shits n gigs is necessarily a threat? )

but its not copying imo bc neither of us have gone out of our way to search for hatchetblr podcasts to garner ideas, all of our ocs are ours which does fundamentally change how the podcast interacts w each other along w their own individual lore as characters, and there are real podcasts that share similar premises w each other. hatchetfield is a small town, i truly doubt there'd only be one podcast abt this weird place. im personally not bothered by other hf podcasts existing but the accusation of us intentionally copying other people, which we didnt. everything we've developed for this grp has been away from tumblr for a reason lol

this blog is meant to be for fun n tbh i dont think we need to change the name ( or premise, which ik u didnt state but im using as an example ) because we shared an idea with other ppl. we dont claim the idea of a podcast entirely, and unless those ppl approach us with concerns then things will remain as they are. ty!!
