There’s certain hobbies and interests that aren’t inherently conservative or regressive but do attract a lot of people who are those things or worse and when you’re a progressive person involved in those hobbies hearing that someone else is interested in your hobby usually has to involve some “But are you normal about it?” conversations before you get too excited

inspired by this post for those of us that don't turn to the visual medium for comfort all that often. everyone tell me what your favorite "odd" comfort book is, a book that isn't necessarily of literary acclaim or happy conclusion and yet is soothing. all my comfort novels have been pretty standard like wuthering heights or emma but for a while there i had harrow the ninth pdfs open on my phone and laptop just to peruse, or touch thrice like a beloved crystal for personal satisfaction

Maybe I should remake this blog . But I’ve had it for so long. But also maybe I should remake it

sometimes when you and your crush are hanging out alone for the first time all you want to talk about is a third person who you have diametrically opposed but equally intense feelings about and the ways you’ve interacted with that third person in vaguely romantic contexts. and this could of course mean nothing

anyway you should always remember that all those foreigners you see dying on the news are just as real people as you are who have just as much interiority as you do. there is nothing about you that makes you more important and it is by pure chance that you are not in their position. in fact, this holds for all of history. every person, no matter the horror of the fate that befell them, had just as much interiority as you do. i feel like some people haven't fully internalized this.
