though the bonfire offered plenty of warmth, maeum shivered from the slightly cold night air. it wasn’t that chilly, but dressed in a pastel pleated skirt and thin long sleeved cropped shirt - she was not dressed for the cold. with her arms wrapped around her body, maeum attempted to use the situation to her advantage. with a slight pout, she cutely turned towards the person next to her. “it’s cold tonight, dontcha think?” tilting her head off to the side, she hoped to gain some sympathy. “would you like to get closer to the bonfire? so i could get more warmth. i don’t want to go alone.”

she had been standing there for what seemed like eons now, the same expression plastered on her features as the boy in front of her droned on and on and on about his current broadcasting project. new media audiences and technologies, he’d said, but he might as well have blabbered complete nonsense, for all it mattered to her – so when the monologue was broken by the girl’s questioning tone, sora was more than ready to jump at the opportunity.  “ absolutely freezing, ”  she agreed, perhaps a bit too fast than she should’ve.  “ i’d been meaning to head that way, anyways. ”  flashing the other a grin, she moved forward – as far away from dull topics and monotonous voices as she could.

“um,” nayeon paused, tapping her fingernails against the coffee table in thought. “a dog stared at me, that was quite interesting. it was really cute and it was just looking at me when it passed by.” she grinned before laughing. “I’m sorry sora but when people ask me questions like this, my mind goes blank completely and all I remember are these weird things. like dogs looking at me or cats brushing up against my leg. I always remember animals for some reason, how strange,” nayeon rambled before taking a sip of her iced tea. 

she would’ve been lying if she said she didn’t expect – well, more. nayeon was always the one who had the most interesting – the most entertaining – stories, and she could always count on her to share at least a portion of them. but she did her best to hide the twinge of disappointment, and nodded instead.  “ no worries, i understand. i’d be the same if someone put me on the spot like that. ”  she took another sip of the sugary liquid, before continuing.  “ maybe i should write about the dog. you know – branch out a bit. no one would expect it. ”  was she joking? at this point, she wasn’t even sure anymore.

       “ what’s the most interesting thing that’s happened to you lately? ” she quipped, sifting a teaspoon of granulated sugar into her coffee.  “ go on, indulge me. i have to write an article for class and i'm out of ideas -- you’d be saving my life. ”  giving the percolated drink one last stir, she set the spoon down with a soft clink and sat back, a grin tugging at the ends of her lips. a moment of silence, and then –  “ i mean, technically it's either this or an interview, so – your choice, i suppose. ”

hi hello it’s certified trash evy coming at u w another impulsive decision – i mean muse. she’s an older muse than eunji so i have her figured out a bit more but i wouldn’t be me if i didn’t change things along the way so!! bear w me i promise i’m gonna do my best <3 i'll try and have her plots and stats pages asap but i’m mobile and lurking in my im’s 90% of the time so hmu for angst!! ahem. i mean plots. damn autocorrect

-- she was born in kobe, japan, moved to osaka when she was 12 and then to seoul when she was 17 because of her father’s job – she feels a bit bitter about this because she feels as if she’s never really had a permanent home?? if it were up to her, she would’ve stayed in kobe but she’s slowly warming up to korea

-- she’s a fast learner when she puts her mind to it and has a good grip on korean but?? she doesn’t really bother w learning it?? she could be on native speaker level by now but noooo she’s lazy af so she still makes mistakes in conversations

-- okay so, sora’s dad was the ceo of a large electronics company in japan, so her family’s always been pretty well-off. she’s literally never wanted for anything?? all she had to do was ask and it would be handed to her asap smh this is probably why she’d acted like her entire world was ending when her father announced his partnership with a korean company

-- fast forward to 18 year old sora – settled in seoul for less then a year, sulking about wanting to go back to japan, and on top of that – her father’s business is failing at a rapid pace and the only thing left to do is to declare bankruptcy. she is shook to say the least bc?? now she’s living in a tiny studio apartment above a dumpster?? what even is her life?? #fwp

-- she will literally refuse to acknowledge any of that. to anyone that doesn’t know her or has no idea about what happened to her family ( i mean, the collapse of two big companies would’ve been big news but not that big ( she will pretend to have way more money than she actually does. that includes: dressing up in her best clothes and talking shit about all the thingsshe can afford. she’s broke but she won’t admit it

-- it’s exactly bc of this that she managed to get herself at hongdae. idiot decided to commit credit card fraud ( which wasn’t really a crime in her eyes bc she would’ve bought the sunglasses anyways… she just didn’t have the money for it ) and then resisted arrest while screaming about how she could bash the officer’s nose in if he would just release one of her hands

-- she’s really outgoing and friendly and can talk your ear off if you let her tho, but while she has a lot of friends she doesn’t really have that many close friends?? like, she’s always been envious of those super tight-knit friendships bc she never really got to make any. cries all she wants is to have a bff and make friendship bracelets and have sleepovers you guuuuys

-- she will do anything for attention. stunts and dares of any kind, you just name it and she’s up for it if it means people are going to talk about her

-- she pretends to know her shit but ……. she really doesn’t
