> The Captain begins running away, surprisingly ignoring any rooms he comes across as if he has a goal in mind. As he’s running, he ignores your question for the moment, almost as if he is detached from what is happening around him.

> He sprints into the communication room, nearly running directly into the door from being faster than the automatic door. As he runs in, he nearly trips but quickly catches his footing and orientates himself before walking towards the monitors.

> [data transfer: 87% complete]

> The Captain rushes towards the chair, sitting down before frantically typing him. You repeat yourself since he ignored your question the first time, causing the Captain to stop and look up at you. He goes to say something but pauses before saying, “Yeah- yep, I’m one hundred percent fine, totally fine, trust me, you don’t need to worry about me. Everything is under control, probably just a surprise party, which is why no one is around, but I can assure you, everything’s fine”. > From just his eyes, it was obvious that he was lying.

> Without waiting for a response, he goes back to frantically typing, muttering something about something needing to speed up under his breath.

> [data transfer: 100% complete, verifying files]

> [warning: wifi connection required, requesting connection]

> [connection successful, continuing verification process]

> [you can now view any nearby screen when you are connected to the internet]

> The Captain stops typing before staring at you in silence for a second. He looks down at something, shaking his head and whispering, “Okay, William, get ahold of yourself; everything is fine. It’s not happened again. Everything is fine.”

> He sighs and quickly looks back up at you, saying, “Okay, ARG-03, I need you to check the cameras for anyone; this is incredibly important. Can you do that?”

> You don’t say anything, causing the Captain to stand up and say nervously, “ARG-03? Are you there? Can you please check the cameras?” > [request received, processing request] > [error code 500 - Internal Server Error: ARG OS 03 encountered an unexpected error and cannot complete the request.] > You still don’t say anything, causing the captain to repeatedly whisper the word no as he climbs up on the chairs, looking at you eye to eye. He grabs the monitor, albeit with too much force, and yells, “ARG-03 DO S0M5TH1NG! PL3A5E”

> [Warning: Critical damage to ARG OS 03’s hard drive was detected. It is recommended to safely turn off ARG OS 03 as soon as possible to prevent corruption to the hard drive] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > [Previous] > [Next]

> The Captain looks to his left before heading in that direction, leading him into hallway one. As he’s walking past the camera, he side-eyes you with a clearly nervous expression. Once he passes the hallway, he checks several rooms, which he’d assume someone would be in, like the medbay and recreational room, but to no avail.

> As he looked through each room, he began to look increasingly panicked as his breath became heavier. Out of sheer apparent desperation, he began walking faster, almost in a near sprint, as he sprinted from door to door, finding no one in the process.

> [data transfer: 37% complete]

> The Captain eventually sprints into the greenhouse and looks around the room, clearly panicking. Upon finding no one in the room, his breath becomes heavier before quickly pushing and pulling plants out of his way, ripping some out of the dirt in the process. Eventually, he stops what he’s doing and looks down at the floor, breathing heavily, presumably out of needing to catch his breath from running or from losing what hope he had left.

> He’s completely silent for a few minutes until he looks at you with an almost terrified look. He quickly tries to hide the fact that he’s clearly terrified with an almost stern expression as he says, “I-If this is a prank, it’s not funny, and you need to stop it right now.” > The Captain waits a few seconds for you to respond, but upon hearing now, he takes a step back, beginning to hyperventilate. He begins almost scratching at his helmet as he shakes his head and mutters something repeatedly under his breath before sprinting out of the room. > [data transfer: 60% complete]

> The Captain quickly walks out of the camera room, looking left and right as he goes before he begins sprinting to his right. He sprints past hallway four however whilst he’s running, he begins to slow down into a walk as everything suddenly becomes more quiet.

> [data transfer: 10% complete]

> The quietness causes the Captain to almost look visibly nervous as he walks past hallway three. He begins looking into several different rooms that he thinks Bengino could be in, finding nobody anywhere.

> As a last ditch effort he sprints to hallway three and opens the kitchen under the assumption that Bengino ran off in that direction. He finds not a single soul in there, causing him to pace around as he begins breathing heavier. 

> He attempts to cover his mouth with his hands, forgetting that he has a helmet on as his hands just slowly slide off the glass. The Captain lets out a loud sigh before looking at the kitchen as he says “this has to be a prank, how is there no-one else in 29 seperate rooms?!”

> The Captain and Bengino wait as they watch the progress bar slowly go up. The Captain lets out a loud sigh as if he was slightly annoyed at the time it’s taking to transfer.. 

> [Data Transfer: 5% complete]

> Before the Captain and Bengino could continue mindlessly watching the transfer progress bar, they’re interrupted by a loud crash followed by Serafina yelling.

> Without thinking, Bengino quickly stands up before running out of the room. While Bengino is running, the Captain tries to grab his arm as he yells “Bengino wait don’t-”.

> The Captain pauses as he lets out an exasperated sigh and mutters “-rush in head first at the sign of danger”. The Captain make an argh sound before he walks towards the chair and begins randomly moving his arms then facepalming out of presumably frustration.

> He looks at you and then the door before saying, clearly frustrated, “alright fine I’ll chase after him, don’t give me that look”.

> The Captain looks at the broken screen then you before approaching the chair slowly. He sits in it and Bengino walks behind him as they both look at something. The Captain makes a 'huh' sound as he begins typing away.

> Bengino gives the Captain a nervous look before he stops typing and lets out an annoyed sigh. He gets up from the chair and takes a few steps back. Bengino walks back in turn and looks at the Captain as he asks “so… is it okay?”

> The Captain lets out another sigh as he looks at the computer and says “Bengino… does it look fine? Computers are supposed to have frames like that, it is not okay”

> Bengino looks at the computer and puts his hand on his face as if he’s thinking before he replies “oh okay, have you tried turning it off and on again”.

> The Captain looks at him before facepalming as he says “that would not help in the slightest, that doesn’t help with issues caused by metal pipes”

> “Oh I see, so what do we do?” said Bengino as he looks at you.

> The Captain thinks for a moment as he looks between you and the busted computer before he says “well what we could do is a data transfer onto the ARG-OS software, I can set it up but I don’t know if it would work but its worth a shot”

> Bengino nods and sits down on the chair as the Captain begins preparing the data transfer. Once it was set up, the Captain took a few steps back as he looked at you. Bengino looks at the Captain then at you before he began typing away.

hey question for ARG-02 how did you find us on the ship from all the descriptions I’ve seen, it appears to be big. How big is the spaceship? Also how did you get your robo-outfit, were you designed with it originally like a cyborg helper or did you scrap the ARG robot before you to make it?

> well I found you by first finding the captain which was easy because I could see the override protocol then after that I simply just followed you. The spaceship is fairly small I'd say for an exploration spaceship but it's also big in comparison to other spaceship. However if I didn't know where the Captain was then I would of have to have searched all 178 rooms without being seen which would be...

> as for my suit, I wasn't designed with it, in fact I was designed like the rest and I didn't scrap ARG-01, he's still... around but he's... also a little bit like me?

> Whilst you and Bengino were talking, the Captain heard the commotion and begin walking towards the communications room, as he got closer so pace began to get faster.

> He slams open the door, only to spook Bengino who nearly attacks him out of instinct. Bengino, frustrated at the fact that no-one on this spaceship seems to know how to knock, yells “Captain, je le jure devant Dieu, frappez à la porte, ou je vais un jour vous mordre ‘accidentellement’ le lobe frontal. (Captain, I swear to god, knock on the door, or I'm going to 'accidentally' bite off your frontal lobe someday.)”

> The Captain ignores what Bengino says as he says with slight concern “what’s going on? is everything okay? I heard shouting, did you find anything?”

> Bengino looks at the Captain with slight confusion as he says “well this weird robot hybrid thing just attacked me but when I overpowered him, he just… phased into the floor?”

> The Captain looks at him with a slightly perplexed look as he says “the robot just… went through the floor?”

> “yeah and before when I had him pinned, he was talking about needing little guy to talk to someone”

> “huh… that’s weird why would they want ARG-03 for something like that? How would they even get ARG-03 off the ship, he’s not designed to be able move around anywhere unless they were going to connect him to wi-fi but that wouldn’t be possible to considering how far away from earth we are right now”

> “I don’t know what this ‘wi-fi’ guy is and why he wants to connect to little guy but okay I’ll make sure little guy stays away from him”

> “no it’s not- nevermind… woah what happened to that screen?” said the Captain is he peaks further into the room.

> Bengino looks at him while he points at the broken monitor saying “well to be fair I did say the robot thingy did try to attack me, I didn’t say he hit me which was good I don’t think my head could’ve handled a metal pipe, but it hit that box thing where all the footage is in so you might want to check it”

> “Yeah I’m fine little guy, this robot tried to hit me with something but I got him on the ground now?” said Bengino as he looked at me, teeth completely showing.

> His teeth look sharper as he yells “Just why are you trying to hurt me and little guy?”

> I’m just following orders here, my boss wanted to have a small chat with your ‘little guy’ over there but I guess plans have changed

> “How did you even get on the ship?”

> … that’s none of your business, I’ll give you some credit before I leave though, you’re a lot stronger than you look.

> Bengino takes his foot off of my chest and takes a step back out of confusion as he presses down further on my arm.

> You’re still not that smart though, see you real soon ARG-03.

> I move my arm out from under Bengino’s foot as I sink through the floor in a similar portal I entered from.

> See I told you we’d see each other soon, well since I’m basically in your head narrating what everyone else does, I feel like we may have gotten off to the wrong foot.

> I don’t want to be your enemy but I can’t go against my boss’ orders so I feel like I should come up with some compensation of sorts for me having to interfere with your story from time to time, how about whenever you want you can ask me questions and I’ll try to answer them best I can?

> Yeah that seems fair, well I’ll leave you be and just go back to telling you what’s happening.

> Bengino looks at the floor in confusion before he decides to kneel down to touch it, trying to see how the attacker managed to phase through the floor.

Hey Bengino I’ve been wondering this for a while but what happened to your arm, how did you lose it?

> “well you see it’s a bit of funny story actually so basically a few years back, the Osservas and Viators had a bit of a war and I hiding out at that town those Loculatores live in, until the fight eventually brought them into mix”

> “evenually these Osserva’s cornered me and thought I was one of the viator fighting against them, I was holding out for a bit until I was completely worn out. After a few minutes, one of these fancier ones came up to me and stood over me. I didn’t know this at the time but she had one of finger blaster thingies or whatever humans call it”

> “she looked at me at just said I’m sorry before I heard this loud bang and next think I know I was in a hospital with my right arm gone, that was around the same time as I met my amore, Serafina”

> “apperantly that osserva was a pretty important person in the osserva’s political system, daughter of a famous politian or something but that caused a civil war and the war ended fairly quickly after”

> “it seems like they never talk about her after so I’m not quite sure what happened to her but from my experience at least, she didn’t seem to be that nice but hey water under the bridge, anything else you wanted to talk about?”

Today is Ghost Ship's 1-year anniversary, so I'm going to give out some lore, voice claims and random artwork in celebration.

First off is the lore, which is mostly just random niche facts that don't really fit into any story but can still be used in asks and stuff as an Easter egg of sorts:

From ARG-03 and onwards, ARG robots have a 'child mode' which can be switched on either manually or automatically and forces said robot to follow/protect said child. They also cannot swear while in this mode, as they automatically censor themselves. (ARG-04 version of this mode is glitched, so only the censoring part works, but it's always on)

ARG-02 is the only ARG robot to have never received a captain, so it's a bit of a sore spot for him

All of the ARG robots can be deactivated, however they will eventually force themselves to reboot.

ARG-02 is the only alive entity that can access true void (basically a dark void where ghost are trapped in) and can use it to teleport

ARG-02 likes drawing and was taught by Miyoko in true void (antagonist in MTBYW) however his boss doesn't like him drawing but allows him to help with putting on his face paint (the reason why his boss has put this on is actually explained in the story, so you can just assume why for now lol)

ARG-02 has his own mech which he made with scrapped part

Sophia actually did have romantic feelings for William pre-falling off the ship, but she just didn't tell him

All of the ARG robots except for ARG-01 can mimic other people's voices

Here's also some artwork I've done by I haven't bothered posting, one of them is a shitpost on the fact that when I was proofreading most of the Osservas I imagined having British accents and the other two are a bit more angsty and have a minor amount of blood in them (one of them is Ghost Ship's finale and the other is a teaser image for another route in the ask-blog)

> Bengino shrugs and says “I don’t really understand what you mean by older model but okay, hey there little guy”. He smiles at you before moving his mouse and clicking on the armory's camera footage.

> He begins to rewind the footage, judging by the reversed audio and the Captain moving closer towards the screen. Bengino looks at the Captain, still reversing the footage, as he says “It might take a while for me to look at the footage Captain, it might be a good idea for you and Merlo to go back to what you were doing before, and I'll call you when I find out who did this.”

> The Captain nods as he says “fine by me, come on Merlo”. He extends his hand onto the chair and Merlo climbs up it.

> They leave the room as Bengino continues to scroll through the footage, not acknowledging that you’re still there”

> After a few minutes of silent scrolling, he looks up directly at you, confused. He tilts his head as he says “what are you still doing here little guy? Do you need something?"

> Bengino sits quietly at his desk, taking brief glances at the monitor while he fiddles with something on his desk. Whilst he was trying to reassemble whatever was it was, he hears footsteps which are getting louder and louder.

> Instinctively, he goes to check the cameras to find the source of the footsteps but before he can, the Captain burst through the door loudly saying “hey Bengino!”, accidentally scaring Bengino in the process. Almost immediately, Bengino turns around ready to attack whatever scared him.

> He realises that it’s the Captain fairly quickly, putting his teeth away as he yelled “Qu'est-ce qui ne va pas chez vous Captain, ne me faites pas peur comme ça (What the hell is wrong with you Captain, don't scare me like that)”

> The Captain starts to try and translate when Bengino is saying himself before Merlo moves as close as they can to the Captain’s face and says, “he’s mad about you scaring him”.

> The Captain almost looks guilty as he stand in between the door and says sorry. Bengino looks at him and says, “that’s good so what’s new?”. The Captain walks through the door closer to Bengino and putting his hand on the chair so Merlo could climb down. He looks at the monitors before replying “We need to take a look at the armoury’s cameras, all of our weapons are missing”.

> Bengino looks at him before typing something as he says, “why can’t you ask ARG-05 to view the footage?” The Captain looks nervous as he says, “well that’s because someone override ARG-05 files with an older model, who’s the new AI in control but for lack of a better word, they aren’t that useful, and I don’t think they have access to the footage but hey say hello to ARG-03”.

> The Captain and Merlo walk out the room and off to the left, crossing across several hallways before heading to one of the few doors on the ship with a password lock. The Captain proceeds to immediately begins inputting the password as Merlo nervously taps their foot.

> After the Captain inputs the correct pin, revealing another room. They both walk into the room and the Captain inputs a different pin combination which the Captain put in, revealing the armoury.

> Unsurprisingly, the armoury only had a broken gun still being repaired and a dulled knife left. The Captain looks around the room, completely confused as he says “god damnit, we did get robbed, how did someone even manage to do this, wait…”. The Captain pauses as he looks down at Merlo and says, “isn’t there a secret camera in here?”

> Merlo nods before the Captain begins to look around, confused, pausing to let Merlo climb on his shoulder. After a couple of seconds of searching, they manage to find the camera. The Captain looks slightly excited as he says, “looks like they didn’t find this one, we could probably talk to Bengino and ask him to review the footage”.

> The Captain pauses, thinking about something as Merlo continues to look at you confused about the camera. He paces around the room as he says, “or we could check the prison to see if ARG-04 has broken out because I just have this hunch that he must have had something to do with this”.

> He walks closer towards the camera as he says, “but I’m not sure, I feel like both are a good idea, what do you think?”

> The Captain looks up slightly panicked for a second before he brushes it off saying “oh it’s nothing, I’m just writing a pretty average normal report about uh… the new chores I have to give out because of ARG-05 not being… around”.

> Before the Captain could do anything else, he hears the loud steps of someone’s claws tapping against the tiles as if they were sprinting along with Merlo quietly cursing.

> The Captain turns to face the door, only to see Merlo almost sliding past the door, before they scrambled in, clearly panicked as they shout, “William we got a problem, most of our weapons are missing”.

> The Captain looked scared as well, judging by his eyes but he kept his head skull straight as he says, “just calm down Merlo, they’ve probably just be misplaced incorrectly, can you tell me what’s missing exactly”.

> Merlo regains his composure as they says, “almost everything besides like one or two of the emergency weapons I can take you there, I don’t even know what’s happened to be honest, who would even do something like this”.

> The Captain side eyes you for a second before shaking his head almost like he’s telling himself ‘no’. He looks back at Merlo nodding in agreement as he replies, “yeah good idea Merlo”.

A little creature jumps out of a computer.

"Hah! Ah?"

> The Captain looks up at the camera’s monitor, confused as to why it suddenly changed to static and spoke to him in a voice he didn’t recognise before a leaf-like creature unexpectedly jumps out of the monitor.

> He instinctively jumps behind his chair to form some kind of cover, peaking over the chair every so often out of a curiosity.

> The leaf-like creature glitches into a leafy Osserva whilst the Captain is looking down. Once the Captain looks back up, he does a quick double-take before getting out of his cover. He quickly sits back in his chair with a sigh of relief as he says “Oh thank god it’s just an Osserva, I thought it was something else for second” before he quickly gets back to typing something on his keyboard.
