One thing that bugs me so far is the marketing for Veilguard. How they seem to describe the new companions as ‘real, fully realized people” with “their own goals”.

Like, has that not been the case ever since Origins?

Is the marketing team trying to convince us that Anders, Fenris, Isabela, Merrill, Sebastian, Aveline, Varric, Dorian, Iron Bull, Sera… FUCKING SOLAS, were all just mindless drones????

The companions in Veilguard being “fully realized” is not a new concept, ffs!

Apparently, the marketing team seems to be hammering in this notion that Solas “sees himself in Rook”.

I’d argue it was very similar with Inky.

I know marketing isn’t all its cracked up to be but Bioware/EA has never been great at it.
