The stars’ alignment: Chapter 25
Chapter 25: One paradox leads to another
I groan as I hear his final breath. Really now? Such a threat is haunting me. How nice. I throw his head into the water as it slowly disappears with the rest of the body parts. Hikari runs up to me and hugs me with a lot of force. "Great job Sync! You did better than I expected~" "Yeah...But." I look up as I see the space crumbling. "We need to hurry up and get out of here!" I pick up Hikari and rush out of the space. Running out Tsuka sees us and rushes up behind us. "You two took longer than I expected!" "I know I know! But nows not the time to be nitpicking!" We leave the castle doors. Looking around I don't see Jericho, he must have left earlier. Great thinking. We run out of the hole I made in the space. Looking forward in the distance I see everyone cheering and clapping as we get closer and closer. "Don't focus on the celebration until you live through it all!" They all frantically notice the rippling space and run for the exit. Being the last one to escape I checked to see if we had everything, good we did. I jump out of the hole with Hikari in my arms and close the space. We all catch our breath and laugh as we celebrated one of our biggest victories. But it's wasn't the last. As we all toasted to our victory, we drank all night. Partying and singing till we all dropped. What a night. What a week. I still can't believe all of this happens in a week. In the manga I use to read, it would take the main protagonist about a few years to face a demon of that calibur. But we aren't particularly normal. As everyone dropped from partying to hard, I sat on the couch with Lex sleeping in my lap. Zeth and Kasai came over to talk to me. "Man, what a single day war." Kasai said as he crashed in the chair. "I know right? Sorry I wasn't there for you all in the beginning." Zeth regretfully said. "No problem Zeth. You've been a great help from start to finish. Thanks to you we saved O'spreay." He smiled and I smiled back. "There's one thing that worries me though." "What is it?" Kasai asked. "The one that was trapped in that gem was Lucifer. And he's nowhere near the guy who started all this. My only question is who. Who would start all this chaos?" "Lucifer!?" Zeth yelled in shock. "Well I can't say anything about the rest but, toppling over Lucifer, Sync? What an achievement!" "Well I guess." I say as I look up at the ceiling. "Well. We'll be hitting the nest. Night Sync." Kasai stated as him and Zeth went on to the rooms upstairs. I smile as I watch them go, but I solemnly think to myself: What else is next after this? (chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 24
Chapter 24: Dark Thunder
The wind gets more harsh and the platform shakes more violently as we stand there, making the tension more heavier. From anyone else's eyes it would seem as if we disappeared, but due to him being a copy, it's just our speed. We clash across the sky, trading blows as we move around with lightning fast speed. Hikari looks on with dead serious eyes. The weather starts to change in my space. It must be our powers causing this. It rains. It pours more heavier than any storm possible. Lightning crashes through the area as we strike each other. A fitting setting if I do say so myself. We both punch each other in the gut, after recovering for the impact we both jump back down to the platform. He smiles and starts to glow purple. He must be really getting serious. "What a great battle Sync. I never felt this much excitement ever since your family imprisoned me in that gem." "Oh? Is that so? I can relate at least with that. You're a dangerous opponent Darky." He laughs and puts his hand over his eyes. Laughing louder and longer than he ever did. "Right right Sync. We end this now, correct?" He puts his hand out in the air, summoning a gigantic sword that breaks through my space. "I agree." I throw one of the cards in the air and zap it with lightning. Falling down from the sky was my trusty sword, I pick it up and flip it. We both get in our stances again. Five hours. This fight has been going on for five hours. But I'm actually enjoying it. It's more than a thrill...Lightning strikes, and so do we. We continue to attack each with our fast speed. Sending out shockwaves that fill the whole space. It seems like a even battle but...He knocks me down with great ease. Punching me in the stomach, I'm stunned as I try to recover. The sword meets my arm, cutting it off completely. I jump back and grunt in pain. He smiles as he puts the gigantic sword over his shoulder. Looking at him I smile back and regenerate my arm with no problem. His smile still stays. Of course he expected this if he's a copy of me. My hyper regeneration. Passed down from my father of course. It keeps a battle going the heart is still intact. I point my sword at him and he copies me. We stare at each other and then before long, continue the fight. I strike with more speed, cut with more precision and react more faster to his attacks. He gets shaky and unsure of his moves, thus it leaves him open. I slash across his chest and kick him across the air. He regenerates. His smile finally turns into a face of anger. He raises his sword and laughs. The sword glows and gathers energy from beyond...Who knows where. It grows in power, growing, growing, growing until he stops it. He grins at me and then points it to Hikari. "Demonic Finale!" He swings the sword down at Hikari, it's dark energy gushes straight out to Hikari but....I stop it with my sword. It's powers goes right into the sword. "Using someone's own power against them. That's what this sword's main event is." I teleport behind him. "Retribution." With one slash, I dissect him into 36 pieces. His head rolled to my foot. Laughing as he stared at me, I pick up his head. "You truly are....Such a wonderful opponent. But know that this isn't my final breath. I shall live on. Until you can kill me with your true power. I shall live on and grow off of you." He coughs. "But you deserve...To know who you face." He whispers in my ear. The name I never wanted to hear. Lucifer. (chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 23
Chapter 23: Sword vs Bunny
She runs I run. She attacks I block. She kicks I punch. This cycle continues onward as we both fight in this hallway. "You're quite good for a little sister of the gifted family." I wipe off some sweat and blood as I listen to her. "Yeah? That's a great compliment. I'll take it with a grain of salt though." We stare at each other as this silence fills the air. I can finish her in a instant if I can get the necessary deductions of her bullets. "Analyzing my gun?" She catches on quick. I smile and point my swords back at her. "Don't try to compare me to my brother. You know I'm more innocent." "That attitude will get you nowhere in this fight." We both go back to dodging each others attacks. One hit from either of us can be fatal. Dodge. Attack. Dodge. Attack. Dodge. Attack. So this is what a battle is like. I throw my swords at her. She dodges them barely and shoots the ones she cant. A smart move, but. I pull out a spear and lunge at her. She was distracted from reloading, so this should be my chance! I go through her coat, if I continue through this I can pin her to the wall...But she takes of the coat and backs away from me. Tch. "Nice one, Tsuka." "No need for words Usagi." I turn around and get back in my fighting stance. She does the same. She charges at me. What? She's actually coming to me? I ready myself for anything as I defend. She grins and stops, throwing one of the guns at me. I block it and lose sight of her. Where did she go? I hear a clicking sound right next to my ear. I react quickly and use the spear to trip her over. She shoots the ceiling in shock, I go in for the kill but she rolls over. What a slippery one. I rush at her but I throw the spear, she backs away. Getting some distances she tries to reload but...It's my win now. Thin wires circle around her, before I know it she's tied up. "H-Huh? What is this?" "It's the end Usagi." I pull my fist down and watch the weapons that I threw impale her. She wasn't really a powerful opponent, she was more of the outsmarting one. A battle of the brain, my favorite. I sit down in the hallway, humming Kanade's song as I wait for Sync and Hikari. We both punch and kick each other under this crystal blue sky. Mimicking each other for as long as we go. So he's copied my battle sense and not just my looks. I back away to catch my breath on this fight. "What's wrong Sync?" Hikari looks at me with worry. "Nothing. It's just me. Well, a horrible copy of me." I sigh and stare at the Dark Lord. "Horrible? That stings. I thought you would be kinder to yourself." "You're one to talk 'me'." "Haha. We'll get no where with hand to hand combat." "I rightfully agree." I shuffle a few cards in my hand and smile back to Hikari. "Hikari. I know you weren't for this little while but. I don't want you to interfere. This one is getting a little personal." She smiled back at me. "I understand Sync, you go and take him down then." She backs away to the end of the platform. Staring at the Dark Lord as the wind fills the air. I know I'm in a fight for my survival. (chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 22
Chapter 22: The old commander falls
"Thank you! Good night everyone!" (Lights turn off as Kanade's stage disappear) O'spreay looks around as his own men clapped for Kanade. "The hell was that? Some music magic?" "So that's what Sync had in mind..." I say as I rub my chin. "Equalizer." Lex said as she looked around. "What a scary term." "You got that right Lex." O'spreay laughed as he turned back around to face us. "You all know that this doesn't matter. Right? I'm the strongest one around here! None of you little shits can compare to me!" What a sad form of cockiness. "Then, would you like to find out?" I pull out my shield, signaling everyone to end this. "Why not fucker! I'll just crush you!" He rushed at me. As he did, Lex ran in the opposite direction of him and disappeared. Good. We clash and the field around us crumble. We continue to clash like this for a good while. It's all going according to plan. Clash clash, slash slash, block block. This pattern continues for as long as I want it to. Backing up away from him, I catch a glimpse of Lex in the sky. She's setting up, I look behind me, Beli's setting up, great. I smile as I try to continue distracting. But... "You don't think I understand?" He grabbed Lex from the air and threw her straight at Beli. Damn, so he's not dumb. "Listen Kasai. You got something good going on. But it's just too bad that I'm your opponent." "Is that so?" "Heh, would you like to find out then?" We dodge each others attack, an annoying pattern. Before I could get a good attack in, he smacks me away with his tail. Once again, before I could do anything, he pinned me down. "Guh!" "So you see it now Kasai? I even feel sorry for you now. So I'll just end you quickly, does that sound fair?" I try my hardest to look for a way out. No luck. I try to push my way out of it. No luck. I try to look for a way out....Hm? "Hah! You look like a fucking bug struggling to live! Don't worry though, this will be painless." He reaches down his arm to my head....But it stops. "Gotcha! No touching my fans you big jerk!" Kanade, thank you. I owe you one. "The hell? You little fuck? How can you do this?" "If you were wondering why that song didn't affect you, it was for the weaker ones in power~! But my voice can work on people like you too!" I move out from under his hand. He struggles to move his body as he's frozen on the spot. "Looks like the roles are reversed O'spreay." I say while flipping my sword. His eye looks down to me. "Oh but it's not gonna come from me." I point behind me to Beli's glowing staff as she casts 'Majestic Eraser'. It hits him like a flash of light. Erasing any part of the paradox in him...Or does it? He lashes his arm out in a last effort to attack me. It's restrained again. But not by Kanade... "Sorry I'm late guys." Zeth comes down from the sky. "Sync gave me the info on all of it." He pulls out a needle and sticks into O'spreay. "This will neutralize the rest of the paradox. We could only come up with a little bit back in Cinewal, so I thank you Beli!" She throws a thumbs up at him as we all watch O'spreay return back to his original form. Whew. I hope the others are ok. (Chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 21
Chapter 21: Love desuuuu
We past from corridor to corridor, taking out any guards that might be a problem. A huge castle this is. So cliche actually, what kind of villian needs this much space if all their gonna do, is just fight someone to the death. I hate it. But I press on forward. Forward through this redundant castle...Until. "Eep!" I catch Hikari from falling and cover her mouth. The guard noticed the sound and came closer. Closer enough to- "Intruders!" Damn it. We all dash through the castle with an army of soliders following us. I have to pull out my two trump cards now. "Beli! Put Kanade on the transmission!" "Got it boss!" Before that, I'm sure he had to be listening. "Aaagh!" "Waaagh!" There we go. "Thank you! Jericho!" "No problem boss." He continues to snipe until Kanade gets on the transmission. "Haaaaaaaaai boss! You ready to make it live?" "Yeah Kanade, project: Love You! is under way!" I throw a lightning ball through the wall of the castle that goes through the fabric of space. Leaving a hole just big enough for... (Lights turning on in the middle of the warzone revealing a stage) "Everyone! It's time for my debut~! Your goddess Kanade is here for you all!" Great. This is all going according to plan. I notice the soliders stopping and staring at the hole, mesmerized. So were the others out on the battlefield. "Here I go everyone! Listen to my song!" I leave the rest to you, Kanade! "Looking up to the cold night skkkkky~! I continued forward through my sadness~!(Sadness!) Â I can feel us blossoming as lovers~!(Lovers!) Â But you push us both away from the truth~! We wanted to be something~ We wanted to be special~ And I guarantee you that we caaaaan~! Our bond is above and beyond~ Our skills are just too perfect~ We destroy the wall that blocks our path~! ....(We can!) We can go so much further~! (We can!) We can just keep on pushing~! And we will~! (We will!) Find ourselves...Even beyond the staaaaaaarssssss~!" Woah. Even I'm kinda caught into the song. But I shake it off as I continue. (Kanade singing in the background) We're almost there as we turn the last corner. But before we can truly call this a victory. A commander stands in our way. "Quite surprised that a concert would be a turning point in this war. But that's what to expect from you Sync, the unexpected." "Commander of hand combat troops. Usagi." Ah, a dangerous woman. Right off the bat. How great. "Sync." Tsuka said while walking up towards Usagi. "I'll handle this. You two go on ahead." "Tsuka...But." "Sync, if she said she'll handle this you trust her!" Hikari puts me back into my senses. "Right. Good luck Tsuka" We both run ahead as they both stare down each other. We bust through the main door. "Hola, 'Dark Lord'." "My my, well if it isn't me. I've been waiting for this for a good while you know?" "Calm down you, it's only been a week." "So this is the faker?" Hikari said while staring at him. "Is that ms.Alice in wonderland herself?" She snarled at him, while I snickered. "Enough talk. Let us settle this, Dark Lord." The space around us change into the place that was in my dream. The clear blue sky, water that you can walk on and the large flat floating structure. "This is your world hm?" He admired the place while laughing. "Oh well, whatever you see fit for your grave is just fine for me!" (chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 20
Chapter 20: Revenge
I walk along the path of war. Screams and howls fills the area as the battle goes on. Hikari and Tsuka continues ahead to clear a path for me. They both signal that the way is clear towards the open space hole. The three of us run in, closing the hole behind us. "Good job you two. Now let's focus on the mission." "Bo-ss-,can you-can you hear me?" The transmission is kinda bad in this space. "Barely Beli. But you're still good." "Great then boss-boss, I'll try my-my be-st to keep in tou-ch with you." "Focus on the casting Beli." Hikari said while walking forward. "Gotcha!" The three of us walk off into the distance but what awaits us...Is something even I don't know. Watching the men rush as they strike and slash, blood spurting with each hit...A ghastly display. Then I see him. Him walking up towards me with a grin. "Yo there O'spreay." I say smiling as he stopped and stared at me. "Kasai. Well then, I'll finish you here." He pulls out a new sword than what he always had. "That's a new toy you got? How nice. Let me see it up close." He grins and rushes at me with great speed. We clash and strike each other with phenomenal force. Our swords, happily greeting each other as we continue to try to best one another. I look over in the corner of my eye to see her placing the trees. Great job Lex. Taking advantage of this situation to buff us all up. I strike and dodge him faster and faster. Must be the speed buff. I push him back more than what I usually do. The strength buff. I smile and continue to pressure him down due to the buffs. "Seriously? Were you holding back Kasai?" He grunts while he blocks my attacks. "Yeah, a little something like that." I smack the sword out of his hand and punch him down into the ground. "I can't even begin to fathom..." He rises up and laughs. "No. No nevermind. I won't try to understand. Cause I'll just kill you before anything else." "Hm? What do you mean?" "Just this!" He started twitching...Evolving...Turning into something that I've seen many of times before. "A demon god." "Oh yeah you fucker! This ain't even the half of it!" Tch, just my luck. "Kasai!" Lex yelled as she landed near me. "Did you plant all of the trees?" "Of course. But...This is O'spreay?" She pulled out her Axe and got ready to fight. "It's still him. A twisted demented version of him." "Ohoho! Try me all of you then!" "Sync! Look over there! It's a pathway." Tsuka said as she walked up to the pathway. "Ah so there is." I look over into the distance of the space to see a floating castle. Why am I not surprised... "This looks like it'll be a sneaky sneaky time~" Hikari said while preparing her weapon. "Seems like it. Are you both prepared?" "Of course!" Tsuka said while staring at me. "As much as I need to be." Hikari scoffed. "Right right. Now let's take out a joker." (Chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 19
Chapter 19: It begins
I wake up on the porch holding Tsuka in my arms. Ah right. I just awakened her powers. I smile as I look at her sleeping. Yawning I look around the backyard. So much collateral damage...I can fix it up before we leave. "Boss!" I hear Kanade yell throughout the hallway. I look behind me to see her happily skipping towards me. "There you are boss! I was looking all over for you this morning!" "Hey Kanade. Did you sleep well last night?" "Like a baby~!" "That's good to hear. Do you have everyone else together?" "Yup yup! I got them all while I was looking for you!" "Alright, that makes most of my job easier. Thank you very much Kanade." "No problemo boss!" She skips back along to everyone else. "Uuugh.." I look down to see Tsuka waking up. "Oh well hey sleepyhead. Welcome back to planet earth." "G-Good morning big bro.." She said quietly as she got up and rubbed her eyes. "Go out into the living room with everyone else, I'll give you the plans for today, ok?" "Yesssss sirrrrr." She slowly walked out to the living room. I smiled, watching her. She has grown, grown up a lot. I got up and stretched. Walking out towards the living room I can hear the rest of the group chatting, laughing and having a good time. They all stopped and stared at me when I came through the corner. Smiling, they all waited for my orders. "Go on boss! Give us the word!" Beli said. "Right. Here are your positions. Kasai, you're the vanguard, you'll be leading us to safety." "Roger boss." "Lex, you're our strength and provider. You'll be with Kasai. He'll protect you as you plant the trees to give us some buffs." "Hai!" "Beli, you're our burst damage. Cast from the back and do what you're made to do!" "Of course!" "Kanade, you're the equalizer. Our secret weapon. I'll tell you what you need to do when we get there." "Got it boss!" "Hikari, Tsuka, you're both with me. We'll be hitting them from the inside." "Ok!" They both said. "Today is the day we settle things! We leave now!" "Roger sir!" They all said. "You have everything ready O'spreay?" "Oh, yes. We'll be more ready than those wretched rats." "I trust that everything is under control. We're striking now." "Of course general. We'll be ending this charade today. All lieutenants and captains! Prepare to strike now!" "Absolutely! Sir!" "It'll be time to end this. Me..." We arrive to the field near my city. It's quiet. Too quiet. Wait. I notice a disturbance in the fabric of space. It's time. Coming out of the dark space was none other than the paradox army. I signaled Kasai to summon his army forth. And so begins the tale of the war. (chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 18
Chapter 18: Collision
"Greetings child of the sun and moon." I open my eyes to see a clear blue sky, not an inch of anything to take away this breathtaking scenery. Wait, that voice though... "Susanoo...Not you too. Don't call me that like the influenced." "Ah, you mean the paradoxes?" "Yeah, well I don't like that title." "Well, what would you like for me to call you then?" "You can just call me by my name." He chuckled when I said that. "Huh? What's so funny?" "Nothing. You just remind me of one of your ancestors from six thousand years ago." "Is that so? That's great then. Well then what's the problem Susan?" "It goes to stand that the war will be one of your biggest fights." "Hm. Yeah I can see that." I rise up from where I was sitting to look down from the floating structure that we were both standing on. A whole area of water below us. It doesn't look deep, good enough to walk on. "You're missing a few key members Sync." "What do you mean Susanoo?" "Your sister." "....I told her to not to rush it. I think we'll be fine without her." "No Sync. Help her awaken. She'll be a great ally in this fight." "...Fine then. I'll try it...I hope nothing happens to her." "Have faith young one. She can do it. Now wake up from this dream" Darkness covered the whole area. "...Nc" Hm? What was... "Sync...." I wake up to see Kanade holding on to me dearly. "Yeah Sync...Let's go right to the amusement park...nnngh." What a little cutie, I will admit. But I guess I have a duty to do right now. I get up out from the bed slowly enough to not wake her up. I zip across the hallway to Tsuka's room. Fast enough to get there and fast enough to not wake anyone up. I go into her room and to my surprise, she's wide awake. "Sync? What's up?" She got up and smiled. "Ah well, Tsuka can we go out to the backyard?" "Sure. But what for?" "You'll see." I walk out the room and I see her fastly coming behind me. As we arrive to the backyard I look up at the stars and so does Tsuka. "Beautiful night, huh big brother?" "Yeah. It reminds me of a lot of things." I said while walking over to the side, though, in the corner of my eye I see her looking down sadly. "Hey, don't worry bout it chimpmunk" I throw a card over to her. "Pick it up, it'll manifest when I see that we're both ready." "Huh?" She looked down at the card and picked it up. "What do you mean by manifest...?" "It's one of my abilities Tsuka. I contain the space of many weapons inside the basement treasury. By connecting them to these cards I can call upon whatever weapon I want." "That's pretty cool big bro." She said while curiously looking at the card. "Ready?" I said to her. "Ready!" She replied back. I snap my finger and both of the cards turn into swords. "Wah!" Tsuka panicked, almost dropping the sword entirely. "Be careful little sis!" "I-I got it!" I smile and walk forward to her. "You never knew it yet. But you're better than me with fighting styles." "H-Huh? I am? Hey! But I never got to fight! How would you know!?" "Want to test that theory?" She looked at the sword for awhile and then looked back to me. "I trust you...So I will." I smile and she shoots a smile back to me. I jump away from her and get into a stance, so does she. We stare at each other for awhile...Until, she strikes. She striked at me with great force, meeting my sword. We both clash and strike at one another, great defense and offense from the both us. We both back away from each other. Collecting information from our fighting styles to get the upper hand. She smiles and gets behind me. Kicking towards my back I dodge and grab her leg, throwing her back to where she was. But she comes back faster than the last time, holding another sword. I smile and block both of the swords onslaught. "There you go Tsuka! You're doing great!" She doesn't answer. She's only focused on the battle. She continues to pressure me with both swords, but I notice her pattern and knock both swords out of her hands...Though she grins and throws a spiked ball right at me. I appear behind her, but not from dodging the attack...I did take a little damage. If I wasn't careful though... "Big brother! I think we've had enough!" She said tired as she looked up to see the sun rising. "Right, I think we did. Goddess of war." (chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 17
Chapter 17: Green Greens
She looks at me with no emotion. "You ready boss?" She ask with some vigor. "Ready as I'll ever be." She dashes straight at me. No. All around me. Heh, sneaky girl. "Taking a page out of my book huh? But I know how to stop it." I reach my hand out to grab her by the...Axe? She swings at me with brute force. I dodge barely. "Well now Lex, that's some battle plan. You got me distracted with the movement and then as soon as I was about to do something, you pull out your weapon. That's something different." "Thanks boss" She charges back at me. Swingly wildly. I dodge about most of it, the rest of it I had to block. She can do that greatly...But. I kick the weapon out of her hand. "Don't leave yourself too open-" The axe turned into a tree that entraped me. "Did that change your mind boss?" I break out of the tree. "Yep, it pretty much did. Good one Lex." At that point she had several options, knowing that it'll take them awhile to get out of the tree. I charge my fists up and zip behind her. She blocks my strike with her axe and forces me away. So much strength in a little girl. Or maybe it's the... "Too late boss!" She grabs me and points the axe at my neck. "That would have been the end of you boss. Falling for my least favorable trick. The tree of growing strength." I look at her surprised. I for one have never seen Lex fight so this was a breath of fresh air. "Alright I give Lex. You got me." She backs off and smiles. "You'll feed me right now! Right?" "Right I deserve to give you that much." We all go back into the kitchen chatting and discussing the upcoming dilemma. I feed Lex from the bowl of ramen that I made. I don't know, I just wanted something quick to give her. She laughs and smiles as she eats the food. Though from the corner of my eye I can see the evil aura from Hikari and Kanade as they watch on. Please don't blame me girls, I would try my best to make it up to you. "So boss, you have a game plan for all of us?" Beli says while walking up to me. "Yep, I think I got most of it covered. So all you guys need to do is stay here and get some rest for tomorrow." "Yes boss!" They all said together. Giving them all rooms that I assigned I walk back towards to my room. "Ah, what a day this was..." I sigh and lay down on my soft bed. Ah, it's more soft than ever... ...Wait. I pull off the covers to see Kanade laying in my bed. "A-Ah...Sync....I didn't think you saw us both like this...W-Well I welcome it with open arms!" "....This isn't right but I know if I walk out my room with you at this point, it'll be like asking for death. So we'll sleep together." "Y-Yay! I finally got a wish granted!" I smile and turn over in my bed. Ah, I better enjoy this night. I won't be living to see tomorrow probably. (chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 16
Chapter 16: Light is in all of us
*ClING* *CLASH* *CRASH* That's all you would hear if you were near the mansion. His fighting style with the sword and shield, while unique, it does have it's faults that I point out. The fight went on for about a good fourty five minutes until I called it off. "That was a good one Kasai. I know what role to give you." "I'm glad. Thanks for the good fight." He went over to sit down with the rest. "Okay, Hikari. You're up!" She rubbed her eyes and got up. "Do I realllllyyyy have to?" "Come on. You don't have to do it for as long as we did." "Aren't you tired though from doing all that? Cause I know I'm tired." She's too tired to be exact. It's like looking at a drunk girl trying to pretend to be sober. "We'll only fight for about five minutes. Is that fair?" "....I guess I can possibly do that..." She yawned and got into her battle stance. Come to think of it, I've never saw her weapon. This might be interesting. "C-Come at me." She yawned out. "Now I don't know if I can take you seriously." I said while laughing on the inside. "I can take you Synckey! Don't underestimate me!" "Fine fine. Ladies first." *BOOM* Our fists both meet. sending out waves of energy that could destroy the city. "Wow, you must of really been watching me when I trained back in the day." "Yep! So don't hold back!" We both fight like a mirror. The same moves, the same predictions, and the same defense. How nostalgic, It's like looking at my young self trying to get stronger. Rising. Rising. We both rise in the air and continue fighting like copies of each other. Two minutes down. Aw, but it felt like so much fun. I drop back down and stare at Hikari. "Show me it. Your weapon." She smiles as she looks down at me. "You're asking for too much mister! But fine, if it's for the greater good." A flash of light covers the whole area. Blinding all of us before we could see...Dual blades. Two blades as shiny and as sharp as the eye can see. It doesn't fit her though. "Well Sync? Ladies first again?" "Heh, go for it." She flashes down to me and starts clashing with my fists. What a sudden change in fighting style. I can't keep up. She knocks me away from her with a kick. A kick that I couldn't react to. "Nice Hikari. You're getting my weak spots easily!" "Hehe! Thanks Synckey!" "...I know there's more in you...But the five minutes are up." "...Time flies by when you're having fun!" She puts the weapons away and smiles at everyone else. "I want to see Lex fight!" Lex looks up with fries all in her mouth. "Mef?" "Yeah you!" Hikari said happily. "Lex huh?" I said looking at her. She stood up slowly and looked at me. "Fine then..." I got an idea of what Beli can do. So she doesn't need to fight me. Lex comes down and stares me in the eyes. "You're feeding me double after all of this..." "Fine fine I'll feed you double. But you have to get serious about this!" "Right boss!" (Chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 15
Chapter 15: Darkness consumes all
"So you sent her there and she failed?" The dark fake Sync walked acrossed the empty void of space. "I wouldn't technically call it a failure." O'spreay said while drinking wine. "You see, she got in, did damage, died, but got them all occupied for us." The faker looked back and kicked the glass of wine from O'spreay. "We strike tomorrow." The faker said with no emotion. "Tomorrow. Fine then. But you're paying for that glass." O'spreay said while The faker snickered and disappeared in the darkness. "Rude." O'spreay got up and followed him. I smile as I look upon Hikari sleeping in my bed, and slowly close the door. "Susanoo huh?" Beli's voice broke me out of my happy place. "Yeah, it seems i'm a mixture of two powers." I said while turning around. "That's a very rare occurance." Kasai said while patting Beli on the head. "I believe it was what my dad wanted me to conquer. He couldn't do it because of his low mana output. But thanks to mom, I have more than the average output." "You're starting to sound more like a cross breed experiment, you know?" Kasai continued on. "Huh, well that's one way to think of it." I chuckled a bit at the thought. Though, I look over to see Lex sitting alone in the chair. I smile and walk over to her. Getting on one knee. "Lex. Listen, I'm sorry for yelling at you before. I guess I kinda just...Let my emotions get the best of me more than anything. It was a very crucial moment finding her...And I just didn't want to face the fact of losing her again. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving me." She looked up at me and reached her hand out to me. "I understand. I didn't want to see you hurt in anyway Sync." She patted my shoulder. "I just want nothing to pain you anymore. If you're hurting then I'm hurting." How nice, I feel more loved than what I imagined. I rise up and walk towards the backyard door. "They're coming tomorrow. You all know?" "I think we get the gist of it all. A war is most likely the answer." Kasai said. "Right, so I'll need to take this time to study all of you right now." Kanade runs up in front of me and starts posing. "Y-You can study me anytime Sync! A-And if you w-want...I could take off.." "Bold but no." "Dang it!" "I need to study all of your fighting styles so I can devise a plan. Kasai, we'll start with you." "Huh? Oh sure." He got up and walked out into the backyard. I followed behind him and so did everyone else. "You'll be facing off against me, is that ok?" I said while stretching. "Yeah that's fine." He answered back with confidence. He summons a sword and shield out from flames. "Fight me like your life is on the line in this battle." I tighten my gloves after saying that. "Yeah, I think I get it." A brief silence fills the air. A staredown, just like the old west. And then. *CLANG* He barely shields my lightning fast kick. "Woah, i'm impressed. I thought shield was gonna slow you down to snail speed." "It's been a while since I've used one of these things. Do excuse my sloppyness." I get back into my battle position and wait, wait for an oppurtunity that will eventually come. Though. He throws the sword at me, barely missing me. Hm. As I thought. He teleported to it and just like old times. We start clashing to our heart's content. "Man it's been awhile since I got this pumped up for a fight!" He said with his veins pumping with excitement. "I'll have to agree with you on this one. But for now, stay focused!" I trip him over and punch him straight down into the ground. Well, he shielded the punch though. "Nice!" He yelled out while jumping back. "What's going on out here to be making all that noise!" Hikari came out half sleepy half angry. "Ah, Hikari. Good timing." I said looking straight at her. "You'll be next after Kasai here." (Chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 14
Chapter 14: Dim light.
Lex watched on as we both chatted while sitting on the fountain and reminiscing of the past. It felt like a millenium, even longer than that to me. I missed her so much. Too much. It was all like a dream. This was too good to be true. "It was like a dry sahara in there, you know?" She continued on. "I couldn't breathe nor really think." "I see. You must be very tired then. I'll go get you a room ready." "Sync!" Lex yelled at me. That's a first. She signals me to come over to her. I walk over to her and she pulls down my ear. "You don't see the truth?" She whispered into my ear. "Truth? What truth?" "That's not Hikari. It's just a fake." "No, nope. Not accepting that." "But Sy-" "I said no. Please don't try to stop my happiness." Lex looks down and flys off to Cinewal slowly. I watch her and try to stop her but...I can't leave Hikari. "You said you would show me to a room? I'll take you up on that offer." I look over to Hikari and smile a bit. "Yeah come on in. Tsuka's been waiting for you." "Ah is that so? I missed the little one! I can't wait to see how she'd grown." I open the door and let Hikari in. "I'm back a little early." Tsuka came out to greet me. "Ah, welcome back big broth-" Her whole face turned to shock. "H-H-Hikari!" She ran down to hug Hikari. "It's been awhile Tsuka." Hikari happily stated as she patted Tsuka's head. "I really....Really. Missed you Hikari." To Tsuka, Hikari was like a mother. It's quite funny actually. Tsuka was born on the day mother died. "Come to my room!" Tsuka excitedly said. "Right alright. I'll see you later Sync." I smiled as I watch them both run off....Fake huh? ....I can't see it right now. I walk on over to the couch and lay down as I look at the ceiling. I hope everything goes right from now on. Closing my eyes, I hope to dream something special. I open my eyes to bright lights all around the city. Huh. Everyone must be having a party. Wait. Those aren't lights. It's a fire. Hikari. Tsuka. Where are they? I run to Tsuka's room. Opening the door, the first thing I saw. Was Tsuka unconscious on the floor. I pick her up and lay her on the bed. Still no sign of Hikari. Wait. What if Lex was right? No.....No! I run out of the mansion. Looking around watching the people panicking, screaming out my name for help. But at the heart of it all, I saw Hikari standing there. Laughing at all the carnage going down. "Hikari!" I yell out to her. "Huh? Oh. It's the stupid one. Still can't tell huh? That i'm just a shapeshifter." Shapeshif-"So where is Hikari!?" The fake points to her heart. "Locked up. In here. I'm surprised she's still alive. Anyone else would dissolve into nothing." What...I... "But you have nothing to worry about idiot. Since i'll end you here." The fake points her blade right at my neck...*CLING* The sword goes across the floor and so does the fake's arm. Reverting her to her previous form. A woman, clad in black armor. That's all I can tell from my blurry vision. I close my eyes. "You're finally coming to your sense." A voice in my head called out to me. W-What? "You never woke up to your true god powers you know?" My true...But I thought I did. "No, It's a mixture of it and me." You...Yeah who are you? "My name. Is Susanoo. So awaken child. And face the threat before you." ...I understand. Opening my eyes back up again, I release a monstrous strength. "W-What!?" The woman in black armor spoke out. "S-Sync?" Lex even seemed shocked. She must have been the one that saved me. "I'll speak out on my full name then. Sync. Sync Zodiac Yukata. The god of fortune and lightning." The pressure of the power increases more as time goes on. "If you're holding Hikari hostage then, I'll just have to play hero and save her right now." I zip behind the woman in black armor and kick her across Vidal. Going back around to where she would be I catch her with my fist and send her into the sky. She stops herself from going up anymore. She turns around and well. That was her mistake. Putting her into a full nelson I chuckle a bit as I watch her struggle. "Unhand me! I-I'm not good at close combat...I can only do shapeshifting." "O'spreay sent you? I can tell from the symbol on your armor." "S-Shut it you idiot!" Enough of the idle chitchat. I should go ahead and I get what I came for. "Hikari! I know you can hear me!" (in the inside of her heart) "Sync...?" "Awaken to your true self! The light that guided me! Hikari Kagayakimasu! The Goddess of light!" Before I knew it. She came out of the womans heart holding my hand. "I'm back..." She said as I held her in my arms. We giggle at each other and fly down slowly. "Get back here! I'm not done with you!" The woman in black said. "Sorry Symone." I said looking back up. (A purple void engulfs Symone) "Black Hole." (Chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 13
Chapter 13: Too good to be true.
Chomp chomp, munch munch. Chomp chomp, munch munch. I see. She's really fast at eating all of my food. It's been a while since I cooked, so it was a little refreshing doing it all again. "Obviously I gotta ask, is it good?" I ask Lex. She nods while stuffing her face even more faster than before. Ah well, I guess I'll take that. It's better than nothing. Looking over the table I see Tsuka sitting there watching Lex eat all the food. "Something wrong?" I ask as I walk over to her. "No, I just thought I was better than you at something." "Ah, this is what you wanted to do while growing up. You don't know it yet, but you are better than me at something." "Hm? What is it?" "I can't answer that just yet until you really feel like you're ready." "...What do you mean?" I shush her and continue to watch Lex. "Quite the feast." Tsuka stated. "I'll make you one at anytime ok? You deserved it." She smiled as she looked up at me. "I'll take you up on that offer. Maybe it'll be sooner than later." Heh. What a gal. I hope she finds at least a good man who respects her. "Hm? What's wrong big brother?" "No. No it's nothing." I smiled as I move on across the room to Lex's spot and pat her shoulder. "Hm?" She looked over at me slurping on a noodle. "I think it's about time to wrap this all up. You know we should be meeting up with the others at Cinewal about now." "Ah, but I didn't get to eat the fish..." "We'll take it on the go ok?" "Hai." She said while getting up. Hm. Playing caretaker isn't so bad you know? I could get used to this. I grab the rest of the plates that Lex didn't finish or eat at all and put the food all nicely in a bag. "Well alright then Tsuka." I turned around. "We'll be on our way. You be careful here all alone." "Well i'm not really alone." She stated "I have the maids and butlers." Ah right, I almost forgot. The head maid Melody is here. I pick up Lex and and walk to the door. "Be safe you two." Tsuka said as she got up to go to her room. "Got it." We both say in unison. Â We leave the mansion and stare at the sky. "Alright, let's get back." I say to Lex. "Roger roger." She replys back quietly. I get ready to jump into the sky, but before I could...I felt a disturbance in the fabric of space. "Hm? What's wrong Sync?" Lex asked. "Well. I thought I felt a little something strange." I put down Lex and walk over to the fountain touching the purple lines in the area. Thus, breaking them. I enter the pocket of space and look around to get a feel of where I am. "Hm, nothing but darkness in the area." The only light I see though. Is her. Standing across from where I am. Hikari...Hikari....HIKARI! I jump over and tackle her out the space with us both landing in the fountain. We both stare at each other, and then laugh. "I'm sorry for taking so long Sync." She said as I tried to hold back the tears. She hugs me and we lay in the water. Thank you...Thank you for living on... (Chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 12
Chapter 12: The howling winds.
We both stand there, in the middle of the town waiting for the others to come back. I look over to see Lex munching on a burger. The poor girl. She probably never gets to eat the city's food due to her being locked up. "How is it?" I ask her. She stops chewing and looks up at me. "Berry goof!" "Don't talk with your mouth full silly." I wipe her mouth and continue to look around. "Still no sign of them. Lex hop on my back and we'll go searching for them." "Haiiii." I bend over and she climbs on my back whilst eating the burger. I walk around the city looking for the rest of my teammates. The only one i'm able to find is...Oh Kanade. "Yo, Kanade!" I yell out. She turns around immeadiately. "Oh! Boss! Did you get-" She looks over to see Lex on my back. "Not faaaaaaaair!" She whines. "No time for that. Where are the others?" "Oh um, I think they went over to the west wing." "If both of them did then that's easy." I turn around to continue searching for them. Before I could move, Kanade jumped on my back. "Hey you idiot! This isn't a free ride you know?" "Oh don't worry boss! I'm basically riding Lex at this point~" Lex doesn't seem to care as she pulls out some cake to eat that. I sigh and walk on to the west wing. Listening to Lex munch and Kanade hum as I walk along is...Surprisingly peaceful. Moreover, I don't see any sign of Kasai and Beli. "You sure they went on to the west wing?" I ask Kanade. "La la- Huh? Oh yeah! I'm positive!" Hm, I hope so. Knowing her she wouldn't lie though. In the corner of my eye I see Lex point. "Thewe" "What did I say about talking while eating?" I look over to see Kasai and Beli admiring a tree. Huh, is that tree yggdrasil? Maybe, but no time for that. "You guys! Let's get going." They noticed me and started coming over "Ah Sync." Beli said in a concerned voice. "Are you fine with carrying those two?" "I can do it. This is nothing. But we should hurry. Our next ally is in the sky." "The sky huh?" Kasai looked up as he spoke. "So the next one is Zeth?" Sharp one. "Yeah, we'll be going on up to the sky for this one. So let's hurry up you tw-" But before I could finish my sentence, they both jumped on my back. "Ah...So now i'm a pack mule!?" "No no boss." Beli said. "You could handle this right?" "I....I guess so." I fly up into the air with them all on my back. How did it turn out like this? Leaving the city of Breaskinal we continue forward to the city of Cinewal. Reaching there in record time I put down everyone and stretch out a bit. "Were we heavy?" Kanade asked. Woah. A life or death question. Thanks for caring about my well being. "No not a problem. Everyone's at a good weight." Kanade opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. I guess I dodged that one kinda good. "Cinewal, the city of the gifted." I mummer under my breath. Lex jumped back onto my back. "Aw, she's attached to you." Beli exclaimed. I guess so. Maybe it's because of the food deal. Well, she has been like this to me in the past. "Can you guys go and get Zeth for me? I'll be taking care of Lex for a little bit." "Right boss, we'll do just that for you." Kasai said as he ushered everyone else into Cinewal. Great. Now. "More food." Lex begged calmly. "More already? You're a glutton." She looks back down at the surface. "Take me to Vidal." "Huh? Why?" "I want the food that's there." "...Fine fine. I'll do it." I walk over to the spot that'll drop us off closest to Vidal. There. I jump off with Lex on my back, landing right at the gates. "Woohoo." Lex said with no emotion. Ah, whatever. I continue onwards to the mansion preparing myself to make a huge feast. (chapter end)

The stars’ alignment: Chapter 11
Chapter 11: Seconds is ok.
After the exquisite lunch that Tsuka graciously prepared for us; we continued on forward to the next city to get our new ally. "Are we almost there?" Kanade says while dragging her feet along the way. It is quite a way to the city, the only city that would be close to it should be Kanade's. Though she wouldn't know that since the only town she's been to was mine. "We're about halfway there." Beli said. Lucky you, you barely break a sweat on that broom. Give the poor girl a ride. Eh, but I won't say it. It'll allow Kanade to get more confidence if she does things herself. I look over across the road to see how nicely the grass and flowers are. The journey is long to Lex's city but it sure is worth a damn. "It never gets old to see this view." I thought out loud. "Yes I agree." Beli says smiling as she looks around the area. "Hm, honestly. It's quite extroadinary." The other two don't look very happy about the journey we have to make. How disappointing. "The animals are out a lot now." I say as I watch the animals prance around the fields. "Yeah..." Kanade says solemnly. She's only looking down at the concrete road. "Cheer up little one." Kasai groans. "We're almost there at least." What negative nancys. I look up to see the city in the distance. "Ah, there we are you down Dannys." "I don't even know what that means, but yay!" Kanade runs on forward towards the town. What a one track mind. Arriving at the city gates, I see more security than normal. "She must have really stepped up her game." I watch the security go around in numbers that, don't really fit the area they're protecting. A shame really. Because of my mistake, all of this is happening now. "Ah, general Sync." Said one of the guards. "Princess Lex has been expecting you." "Thank you, I'll head to the castle right away." The other three looks around in amazement. "Well, this is where we'll split. You three can go sightseeing around here. I'll be gone for awhile so enjoy yourselves." "Right boss!" They all said excitedly as they went in seperate directions. I sigh as I go on north towards the castle. The path to the castle never changes. Plants, trees, and lakes as you go about. It's a little serene if you ask me. I arrive at the castle gates and the one of the guards automatically let me in. "Good luck. General." "I got it. Not the first time I've done this with her." I go up the stairs leading the main door. Opening the door I see a line of guards all over the main hall. What a sight. She really doesn't want any trouble her way. It's a little calming though, having all these guards keep you safe. What a lucky girl, I lost my great guard a long time ago. Going up the stairs I notice more guards up the way to her room. Now it's getting to be a little overkill. *Knock knock* "Sync, that you?" "Yeah Lex. Open up already." She takes a little while undoing some locks but eventually opens the door for me. "Great. You took your time though." "Shut up. You know it's a great while to your city." "Hm. Bet you took a while enjoying your lunch." "Don't worry I brought you some." I pull out a handmade bento from Tsuka. Lex stares at it with great joy. "Oh, so you DID remember our deal!" She says as she snatched the bento from my hand. "I don't forget such things, you remember." I walk into her room and sit down on the chair next to the sofa. "Let's talk business. We need you to join us on the adventure." Watching her wolf down the food she blinks and looks toward me. "Tsuka's cooking is bland. Cook for me next time." I sigh and stare at her. She stares back and then stares at me with begging eyes. "Fine I will Lex. But you have to agree to join us." "Deal." I know how Lex feels about food. She doesn't get to eat much food due to her photosynthesis ability. But anyway I get up and laugh. "Lift me up." She says calmly. "Lift yo- ..Fine." I pick her up and walk out of her room. "Look everyone, it's like we're married." I laugh and continue walking down the stairs. Boy, this is gonna be a fun yet strange journey. (Chapter end)
