JUST GOT THE MOST RIDICULOUS WEAPON 

You have a +4 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This crossbow's serrated bolts deal an additional 1d6 slashing damage on hit. Whenever you use this crossbow to fire magical ammunition that requires the target (and adjacent creatures) to make a saving throw, that saving throw is made with disadvantage.

While attuned to this weapon, your Beast Companion gains a +3 bonus to attack rolls and benefits from your Hunter's Mark, Favored Foe and Colossus Slayer.

Proficiency with a heavy crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

update ; we have stormed the citadel, cal decided to prepare for battle by getting as drunk as possible, he is now attempting to blow up vampires in a cave post storming, but he’s so hungover the dndbeyond dice know and keep giving him awful rolls and i like to imagine he’s not even missing the shot he’s straight up missing his crossbow and the bolts are just clattering to the floor loudly while the vampires he was trying to blow up with lightning arrows chant ominously

cal is prepping for an attack on the icecrown citadel in our warcraft dnd campaign and let me tell you him writing a letter home to the syndicate like ‘ABOUT TO FITE LICH KING ,GONA B RICH AN FAMOUS, BYE’ is likely to be the last thing he writes before he’s shattered to a million pieces and likely revived as part of the lich kings army
