No worry, so what if MC pushes one of her children to be heir of the Faraam for reasons, for example because her son/daughter wants it. 

First I don’t think Theo would agree because he knows all the trouble it would cause. Not sure he would go toward another revolution, but there would probably be a lot of drama and plotting and lot’s of tensions with the Faraam. Maybe a little assassination attempt on the new Duke/Duchess ahem. 

In a couple more generation it will be easier but it’s still too fresh for this to go smoothly. If MC wants the Faraam family to get along, she must absolutely not touch their land.

Ngl when talk about how Theodore's dad would treat his grandkids if Theo had kids with MC, I'm like I hope the family dynamic doesn't get into a big oof if Theo's siblings have kids in the future as well 😅

Theo’s sibling doesn’t carry the same hatred than the parents, they can learn to love their sister in law and nephews/nieces I think. The only potential tense point would probably be the Faraam succession, like if Theo and MC have several children one of them could claim the Duchy and they probably wouldn’t like that, so as long MC doesn’t push one of their children and let his brother’s child take over it should be okay!

The twins and Aaron are sort of friendly they used to play when they were small before the Emperor married Sofia, Yacine was too little for that. But otherwise not much.

After Sofia became Empress consort they were send away with the interdiction of seeing each other to avoid a “coalition” so they grow out separately and don’t know each other enough to have a strong opinion.

I think if they are still alive to witness it they must not like Yacine very much because by appearing greedy for power he put them in danger too.

Do the Imperial women of Calidya have to go into seclusion during the end of their pregnancies??

Only if their health is fragile and they need to be under the constant supervision of doctors. In this scenario the woman might be moved to the great temple and keep in a quiet environnement but for her health. Otherwise they live normally in the palace, just with extra midwife as lady in waiting and scholars nearby for the big moment, although when getting very close to term they probably avoid too much public appearance to not like start the labor in the middle of the crowd x)

Does Calidya have the whole "presenting the new royal baby to court" thing?

OMG I just pictured MC showing off her baby like Simba in the Lion King 😂

So they do now. Adding that to the lore book as we speak.

Alex is mixed of proud and scared that for some reason lightening strike your baby or you drop it

Asha is absolutely disgusted by the whole situation and will probably scold you for a full week for displaying your baby "like a piece of meat"

I have a lore question about Ombe from Imperial Grace. When you mentioned about the gender roles is based on job position is it still possible for anyone to marry regardless of gender despite the challenges that comes with it? (I know you said a person who is afab can't be a warrior and a mother at the same time. But is it still possible for him to find someone?) I hope the way I worded the question isn't offensive. Plus any fashion ideas for Ombe? I'm tempted to draw something!

Hello, yes it's definitely possible to marry with someone else regardless of your actual ability to make a child with this person or not. After all some people can be infertile for various reasons, they is always children to adopt if you want a family. (Especially since they have a warrior-like culture, so lot's of fight between rivals tribe means a lot of orphans to take care of.)

For fashion inspiration, I would say a mix between various Siberian traditional fashion and more generally . Warm, colorful clothes with work on intricate patterns. For ref you can look at Alexander Khimushin work, it's a photograph who traveled around the world, including in Siberia and took photo of various ethnic group in their traditional outfit.

Ombe is quite isolationist, so it's not that much explored in the game, so I am happy to develop a bit more the lore here :p

Hi, it's been a while since I've had Tumblr. Are you still working on Imperial Grace?

Yes I am! Progress are being slower than I wish, but they are steady! 

Currently we are staging the new demo, revamping the UI to accommodate the fullbody sprite, translating the game, and rewriting chapter 9 and 10 because I noticed some pacing problem on them during my second read^^

The world building is awesome. Where did you guys learn how create fictional worlds, cultures, religions etc?

ROLEPLAYING FORUM. I think it's still exists somewhere, I had this roleplay forum named Terra Mysticas I created when I was around 13? Honestly all I learned about worldbuilding was to make this work, to create a context interesting enough for players to have fun with. It started very basically with stuff like "Dark wing" (wing singular 😂) evil demon trying to conquer the world, and during the 4-5 years of peak existence of this forum, it evolved so much, adding new lore for interesting events, fixing issues when a player asked a question or needed something.

It's also where I learned about community management.

Honestly I have such fond memories of this forum despite it's really cheesy worldbuilding....

Women's rights day

So today is the international women's rights day. On this regard, we've come a long way, but there's still progress to be made and it's one of the roots of Imperial Grace.

Taking a medievalish universe to talk in an exaggerated way about problems that are still existing today.

Having a voice in this very real unfair world...

Feeling more powerful than I am by being an Empress that can actually change her society and all...

For all those reasons, this game means so much more to me than you can all imagine, so I deeply thank you all for your unwavering support during all those years.🥰

Also, I said I wanted to drop a new demo for this fest but I clearly underestimated:

The workload of the task

How life can be a bitch ESPECIALLY when you have a tight deadline

How perfectionist I can be. Yes it was worth it to spend two hours trying to get this AlphaMask animation work and I have no regrets.

So yeah, I don't know when the new demo will drop, but I am still proud because I did tremendous progress during this time 💪😘

Anyway, I think this setback is the perfect opportunity to try some new demo instead so don't hesitate to rummage through the Storyteller festival for other gems <3
