Somehow, the nurses always seem able to immediately rush in and break up any fight, no matter where one begins. The computer room up on the 3rd Floor has a live feed of the entire Institute at all times. How is this achieved?
👁️The Panopticon, the unmistakable, oppressive omnipresence of cameras that looms heavy day and night, and the threat of punishment if any retaliative action is taken against it, with the certainty that they'll be fully operational again the next day.
👁️🗨️The Invisible Eye, no matter how hard one searches there is no evidence of any camera to transmit, and yet the footage is sent regardless - the beguiling comfort of a false negative, with nothing to break, no way to stop it from sharing hidden secrets.

But there /is/ that computer lab that shows a live feed!#Are they implied to be there because of that - or is the implication that they're like invisible?#Which is worse! Which is more dreadening haha#To know exactly how watched you are and not be able to do anything about it#Or to be unsure - what if they're in the rooms? What if they're bugged onto a person? Where is safe and where isn't?#Uncertainty vs. awful certainty :)#I can't decide! I like both!#And I mean that camera Does look great up there in the corner - but I wouldn't call it reassuring#Conducive to a healing and non-fear-inducing environment? Nooo....#Not like the Institute is great at that already lol but you can Almost forget during the day! Almost :)#Technically the Sun Room /does/ already have some bad vibes in that the ceiling lets in light but also serves as an observation deck#Somehow..... I still haven't figured the logistics on the claim of the one-way mirror#If it lets in the light then wouldn't it show if there were dark shadowy figures looking down the same as regular glass...? Okay#Would they even need cameras in that case?? I mean yes to send the footage to the computers lol#But if anywhere's gonna make you feel Extra Watched it's definitely that central room#You can duck into the corners but it's wide enough that they could just move to the other side to see you! Can't get fully away!#Also hmm the lighting up on the second floor looks kinda dumb now that I see it from this angle#I'll go in and fix that next time lol

#Damned#Minecraft#WPVG#WPMC#*So far - I want to finish the shell and then go in and decorate#If I tried to decorate and then go back to overall construction it'd take forever!#Can't back-and-forth this one gotta do it Each Step At A Time#But I also couldn't Not decorate the bathrooms - there's so many fun items to put in there!!#A full set of Gendered™ soap /and/ hand sanitizer /and/ the pad/tampon dispensers in the ladies' room#And the pink and blue bars of soap in the showers#I'm quite pleased with using sideways stairs as a little shelf :D#You'll just have to pretend there are bottles of shampoo stored there lol - the soap dishes are the stand-in for that haha#The rest are mostly small ideas I'd like to come back and fully flesh out :D#The message board.... I could probably set up a storage container of some kind with renamed pieces of paper tbh haha ♪#Even behind the signs! Have a ZEX-specific section <3 And a Hayes-and-Xigbar-frenemies section hehe#I love their back and forth so much <3 Unfriends he says haha ♫ Although I may have gotten it backwards#I think Hayes had Xigbar's knife and was desperately trying to return it so he wouldn't have to be connected to him anymore lol#Sorry but Xig is one of ZEX's interests you just have to live with this extended family Commander <3#And he was one of Zelnick's allies! Which is maybe the more convincing of the two for him but for me? ZEX all the way always forever haha#Reviewing my notes is so funnn <3 <3 Ahem anyway lol#Library's looking pretty good :D There's gotta be a way to make that back wall less suspicious but still accessible lol hmm#Just-big-enough alcove that opens up into the actual staircase? Maybe...#The Courtyard really has turned out nice :D And the Greenhouse! Nature and plants and the like hehe#I wasn't expecting the bees but honestly? Not complaining haha they're cute!#A few have gotten stuck inside the Institute at times - just nudge 'em back out lol it's fine#The bees don't need therapy! Thera-bee hehehe

First floor, finished!
#Damned#Minecraft#WPVG#WPMC#Apart from the Medical Wing - that was still under construction well into the second floor#Definitely didn't help that the map is gone :'0 Thank you again to Alana for her preservation efforts tho they were very helpful <3#The Sun Room doesn't have a ceiling because it goes all the way up - lets the Sun in y'see lol#But apart from that it's fully capped off! Wow!#You can even see the start of the Chapel in the last two outside pictures - I started on the second floor and then did some Redstone :3#I thought it'd be neat to be able to turn off the dorm lights! I mean - I think it'd be cool to be able to turn off /all/ the lights lol#But the spacing's a little tight for that :P Since I've been doing this all by hand I've been trying to keep the scale A Little smaller#Not by a lot clearly lol but y'know - even one extra block height between floors means completely redoing the stairs and noooo uughhhh#They were so hard to make play nice to begin with lol - the Sims' version has the stairs double back on themselves#Which is very space-effective! But I wanted a two-block staircase and that meant gradual turning rather than sharp turns#Trust - there are only sharp turns from the 2nd to 3rd floor I have Fully given up there lol#But I mean if I was to learn how to lift from XYZ-XYZ by one block.... Just shift everything up by one........#I certainly wouldn't be Against going in and wiring everything up :3#I've been building in Peaceful mode because the Slimes were /awful/ to build around lol - now I just have to contend with bats#But like - if all the lights turned off and monsters started spawning... :3c I'm just sayingggg#It's also fun 'cause All the dorm lights - all four sections - are wired up to be shut off with just one light switch :D#Single flip and it's light's out! There's just something very creepy about that to me haha#Probably the longest project on the first floor - apart from just y'know Starting lol - was the Greenhouse#It's described kinda vaguely and Minecraft doesn't lend Great to greenhouses so I kinda winged it for a couple hours lol#I like how big it is tho! I'm pretty sure the dots on the map are meant to signify trees and there's rows of them in there! Wow!#And again this is at a limited scale! So it's even Bigger in-game for realsies! Double wow!#I read a new-to-me scene in the Greenhouse recently after having built it and it Did make it more real :D How cool! ♪

Just Minecraft this week#Had a uhhhhhh......let's go with Busy week that made editing kinda the last thing on my mind lol#I wish I was referring to Deltarune lol no I don't even have a device I can play that on currently haha#Gods do I want these doodles posted up and out of my system but then the Infinite Other Things haha#There will be a new chapter of In-Patient on Friday as usual! As long as I can proofread it by then lol - I plan to!#After that uhh - about half of Ch. 8 is done and the rest is white word document :T Haha#Still another little while before that's a problem but wouldn't you know - the desperation has lessened significantly the more I got out lol#And also the whole reason for starting it in the first place - wound up writing energy - getting siphoned elsewhere that helps too haha#Still strongly considering that Event tho....#But for the time being! It's Institute-in-Minecraft week! :D Nice!#I've made some really significant progress on it! Gotta pit the two Extremely repressed guys against each other lol#Each with their obsession with a stripey blue-haired genderfuck....#I'll go insane about it later#<Has already gone insane about it#Lol#Enjoying my tags brought to visuals? The fun of reading my tags - you get the text preview of my ideas in real time! Haha#Also! These doodles are much newer! I have like a full week's worth of sets in the drafts that I just Cannot edit hegh#So I ran an experiment with these and it worked! Yay!#I haven't played with my ink pens all that much and in a good long while - so! This paper has gotten increasingly difficult to edit#Midtones just unfriendly on the page - so I'm forcing the issue and making the lines Hecka dark#And also not leaving any pencil residue where there's not toning - which means No Sketching#These were made completely freehand-eyeballin' it haha - I think they turned out pretty good for that :)#I am admittedly very used to drawing 3/4th bust-ups lol all that practice paid off!#And this being a short idea made it easy to see through all at once :D My favourite!#I wonder how Scriabin would react to Lee... Plenty to dig at that's for sure hmmm#It really does tickle me that technically None of the current round of therapists would qualify according to the original rules haha <3#Lee is the closest but he still doesn't actually make the cut! And Edgar and Wander aren't even close haha <3#I think that's very fun personally ♪ DAX is against the rules so why shouldn't they be as well <3#It's fun to see everyone in weird circumstances! I mean it's fun to see everyone in general lol but to meet the expectations there#To be therapists or patients amongst each other ♫ How do they hold up under scrutiny!#Lee you better be careful or the Institute is going to take issue with your meddling :)

#Have been writing a good bit but not In-Patient haha#There's still a bit yet in the queue but I'd like to return to Making more!! This week for sure#A lot of my attention has been centered on the Minecraft Institute haha that's taken quite a lot of my time#Getting custom head accessories really just opened up the world to me ahhhh#It makes me want to decorate so bad!!#But the shell still isn't done haha the rooms aren't all constructed!! So I'd like to return to that as well#I also started a new zine out of a very strong inspiration fugue#It's not done yet but ouughhghhh I reallyyyyy like it so far it's extremely cool#Zines are so fun 'cause they're the one medium where I just - go#No sketching no erasing just bam-bam-bam lines down and not worrying about it anymore!#Cheap paper and thick pen lines'll do that <3#Once it Is done I think I'd like to scan it in and clean it up a bit#Maybe offer it on my $5 tier on Patreon exclusively....#It's cooool#I wanna make so much lately! Wanna print and draw and write and build in Minecraft haha#Just a matter of delegating my time and energy and attention and then actually Doing The Thing augh#But I want to do it all!!!!#I got the itch to work on ukagaka stuff again not long ago as well huahhh#Many many many#Gotta start instituting - lol - my Monthly Goal thing again#I got out of the habit and look where it got me!

It's well underway and I've been having a lot of fun with it :3#I'm gonna toss Edgar and Wander in there at some point too - once I have their rooms a little more finished#It's a bit funny since I've been imagining the money tree in the opposite back-wall corner but it fits better here! Huah#I'm still not sure if I like the room plates above the doors or beside the doors hmmm#They're beside the doors in the dorms but I do like the immediate visual distinction of the offices#Dunno! Maybe I'll try it bothways#I love how there were two empty offices originally so I was able to sneak in both my guys haha#While Edgar just looks at Stein's office like ''Mine now''#I deeply enjoy the implications I am Not complaining <3#I appreciate Edgar and Lee having similar enough damage that I can reuse assets between them both haha#There will be a bible in each of their rooms :) Only Edgar's will have a cross tho#It's too bad I've been making this in 1.16.5 honestly - Skulk would suit Wander's room so well! Maybe a Touch intense haha#It'd spill over to the next room anyway it's fine#I'll just decorate his with a bunch of map/frame/posters/paintings :)#Definitely won't look suspicious or like there's anything hiding behind them!! Secret passageways haha what are you talking about#Next showcase is definitely gonna be details - custom heads really make All the difference <3#The Library looks great the bathrooms look great - the Cafeteria is about to pop off I swear#It's gonna be awesome

#Minecraft#Damned#WPVG#WPMC#Oooooh you wanna tour the Institute soooo baaaddd#Lol#So some quick stats - I believe I'm currently making this at 3/5ths scale on some loooooose math#At a glance - if the floor plan is To Scale (which tbh I don't think it is lol) the institute itself is ~330x620ftsq#Tho it's weirdly shaped so honestly it's a bit hard to tell lol#There's only one given square footage on the entire map and it's an awkward 14'x16' in the Activities Shed (not featured here - yet)#So approximating in 10' blocks from there I've been putting down two Minecraft block per approximate 10'#Which if each block is a meter then two meters is a little over 6' - 6' to 10' - thus 3/5ths scale#I /think/ I am not a math gay I just have the mental illness that makes me want to walk around fictional mental asylums#It's honestly so fun to see it come together :D#Fun to walk those halls!#It's also been very meditative to lay walls and floors and ceilings and lights and the outer shell one block at a time haha#Probably the most cerebral part has been the alternating pattern in the bathrooms haha#Funnily enough this was actually inspired by some papercraft - saw some paper buildings and got The Urge#I want some kind of physical object of the institute so baaaad#Digital effigy isn't a bad alternative tho#And there's a level of exactness that can't be achieved in like - the Sims for example#(The Sims Institute my deeply deeply beloved been pulling much inspiration thank you Alana <3)#Tho the Sims /does/ have the advantage of painting one side of a wall one colour and the other side a different colour hgh#Doubling up wall thickness has been killer on keeping the internal/external sizing consistent#I've managed so far! But I am still only on the first floor#Well - the shell of the lower floor will require restrictions either way it's fine#I'm having a lot of fun with it! And also ow my wrist lol#I think it'll be a fun resource to have :) And I mean hey - it's easier to make something physical with a 3D rendering to work from yeah?#Ignoring how Minecraft doesn't have to abide by physics lol#Institute dollhouse with modular rooms and floors...... Hh..............

#Wander Over Yonder#Such a fun episode#Wander's type is generally ''I can fix them'' but Janet doesn't quite fit his niche lol#He won't be held down!#Where have I heard that one before hmmm#She's especially fun because she plays both sides of the yandere coin! Both possessive and obsessive!#She starts out obsessive - being near him - engaging with his interests - building shrines to him lol#And has a possessive streak in how she deals with Sylvia - driving others away so she can have him all to herself#And then when he leaves she turns fully vindictive ♪ She still falls more on the obsessive side of the two tho#Which is my personal favourite haha#If you wanted to play in semantics - which of course you do! - you could qualify Hater as an obsessive yandere towards Wander :)#His obsession towards him is specifically in an outwardly destructive way - his feelings trend towards antagonism but like#He's still hopelessly infatuated with him in his own way lol#Hate and love not being opposites and all that hehe#And Wander reciprocates because he wants to see Hater improve!#The main reason he was able to leave Janet was because she found someone new to move her attentions to and wasn't doing any larger harm#Wander's a toxic shipper and I love that for him honestly ♥#He knows what he's about and he Does need a freak to match - but they have to Match it can't just be Any kind of evil obsession haha

Wander would honestly probably be one of Lee's worst nightmares as far as overly-friendly coworkers go lol - Wander would want to be around him! Make friends!! Luckily for him there'd be Such an Immediate difference between Wander and Brandon that, with Lee's memories all hither and yon, Wander would supersede to such a degree that it'd be hard to mistake one for the other haha. I could definitely see him being twitchy around him for Some reason, that he ends up chalking up to Wander being overly friendly haha

I would love to do something with Adri! ♥ Fun fact actually: There was a scrapped Ch. 6 concept with Adri that would've been a lot of fun to implement, but unfortunately got in the way of how I wanted things to play out. I am still considering writing it as an alternate version tho... 👀
Actually, I've been thinking about a few different offshoots from the main plot :3 Been thinking about hosting an event in that vein, if'n there was enough interest to warrant it :3c
As for the rest, there will be more answers in the upcoming chapters! 😉 Tho I will at least say, Lee knows as much as the Institute has in Angel's file, and what Angel has told him directly :3 There's an awful lot he Should know that he Doesn't, hm! :)

Sims 2 has played Clinical Trial, it all went by the exact same beats
#Clinical Trial#Angel Martinez#Lee Smith#The Sims 2#WPVG#WPTS2#Okay so it wasn't Exact-exact but some of that was due to a global mod I have since removed#I had the No Instant Love mod installed because even for how cartoony TS2 is - and I love it for that! - Sims do fall in love Hella fast#Problem being that my version of the mod is glitched :P It does slow the rate of one Sim's relationship - as intended!#The other? Refuses to see them as anything more than a friend - ever#Oops aroace mod lol#Would be ideal if I could Control which Sims that effect was applied to! Alas - you'll never guess - it hit Lee#So Angel fell in love with him and he was stuck at ''Just Friends'' - even when I put his relationship to max with them#Like - Angel's LTR and STR were both lower than Lee's of them and /they/ were the only one in love of the two! Mod borken#So I removed it and the cartooniness is back lol - it did give me the opportunity to screengrab Lee falling in love all at once haha#Also have I mentioned that one Sims 2 piece of homie's and how it's wrong lol#The Sims 2's Family Aspiration is the one that pops engagement and marriage as green Wants most reliably#But the Romance Aspiration - which in equal parts will pop those as red Fears - was the asset shown#Fake fan points and laughs#Lol#Obvi I made Lee a Family Sim! Actually a Knowledge Sim with a Family secondary - specifically pointed at Angel haha#And I think I made Angel a Popularity Sim with a Family secondary? I never know whether to make Pleasure or Popularity Sims haha#It felt a little cruelly ironic to make Angel want friends and not have any ♥ I am nice to the characters I like haha#They're fully moved in and living with Lee it's always Week 8 Sunday around these parts it's fine#It was fun trying to translate Lee's house into a 3D space haha - the creepy hallway???? I changed its orientation#There's no longer a door directly to the master bathroom you have to go through the bedroom#Did include the murder basement tho :) Not as a basement tho sadly :( Sims 2 is bad with basements#Even using The Trick I couldn't get it to work with the garage as part of the main building so I was just like Fine#First story murder ''basement'' lol - and the stalker closet isn't behind a bookshelf But it is locked to Lee only#So it's fine! Thing that I draw in the steam on the mirror
#DDoodles#You'll never guess what I did just before drawing this digitally lol#Turned out pretty much how it does on the mirror itself!#It's fun to use different fingertip motions to achieve the different shapes#Very tip of the finger for the eyebrows - drag the entire pad across for the main paw pad#I drew the wings asymmetrically on the mirror itself - one had three loops and one had two#Both cute tho! I like both#S'just such a fun little guy to have up#The paws and whiskers really make it I think - fill out the space nicely and are cute#Quite enjoyable haha

hands shaking, teeth grit, sweat on my brow: It doesn’t have to fit the timeline perfectly, it’s okay if some of the details don’t match, no one’s going to care if this one thing happens just a Little later than it would have anyway
#DDoodles#Damned#That's not true I do me I'm the one who cares#No one else understands my sorrow#I am beholden to this calendar it needs to align with the events or it's not! Right!!!!#So anyway I'm reviewing the timeline again because I was trying to figure when this fanfic is set and the only answer I came up with#Is upsetting me /lh#I have a great plot point but if I implement it at the Exact Time that it would be at it's most unfortunate for everyone#Then either it's too early and then it feels like I'm singling them out#Or it's too late and they'll already know what to expect#And the whole point is that they're meant to be as in the dark as the audience#Which would've made the former more viable but Not Fit - but!! then it makes other events very early on happen Way Too Early#Gah#Why'd it have to be on a Tuesday! Why couldn't it have been on a Thursday! This would be so much easier!#And I can't just move /my/ thing to a Tuesday I've already spent So Much Time futzing around (doing important plot things)#To the point where it's three weeks in - half the game nearly! - and just ugh#Ugh!#If we could all just pretend that the canon event happens on a Thursday that'd be great....#I did at least figure that setting it a week later makes it fit a Little better - fudges the details Enough on the front end#I'm still upset about having to move the canon event wehhhh - it's not particularly beholden to the day but it's important to me!!!!#Also it is delightfully fun to me that Clinical Trial and Damned both take place over the course of Just over 8 Weeks teehee :3#Fucked up medical events are 8 Weeks take it or leave it#I'll take it!#Clinical Trial#Loosely lol
