It’s so important to me that Bix is still traumatized and haunted by her torture at ISB, but that it hasn’t entirely consumed her life. Yes, those horrific memories can come creeping in at any moment, especially fueled by fears about an uncertain future and dangerous threats in her present. But she also fixes things. She also enjoys good meals under the sun with her coworkers. She also teases Wilmon about the girl he likes. While there’s so much the Empire took–and continues to take–from her, they haven’t taken everything. And that matters.

Oh, Genevieve. Did you have any idea what a couple days of work filming (ultimately deleted) scenes in Revenge of the Sith would eventually lead to?

genevieve o'reilly's performance as mon mothma is, quite possibly, my favorite performance in all of star wars. she has brought such life and depth to this iconic character, who, when she first appeared in the original trilogy, hardly existed at all. genevieve o'reilly has been playing this character for two decades now, and before andor, she had been given crumbs, and those crumbs were largley cut, and still, even then, she brought such incredible grace and power to this role. it's truly remarkable, and she deserves all the praise in the world
