Alex took another look at him up and down. She had been surviving with him in the woods for no more than a couple days, but she knew something had happened to him. Something bad. But he had protected her, covered her back. She could see the regret in his eyes and whatever he had done, she didn't want to know. 

“I know, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to-” She looked away from him. “You’re right, it’s nothing now.”

❝Nothing is forgiven unless you want it to be.❞

In that moment all Philip could manage to do was shake his head at her words. After all that he’s done, whether it was actually right or wrong, was done. Consequences had followed and despite the outcome he still stood by some of those choices and the others were taken as something he knew was a mistake but there was nothing the could be done about it now.
