rays of sunshine flooded your apartment, spilling onto the kitchen counter, where you and your boyfriend were baking brownies. his flushed face matched yours, hair sticking out in all directions from the summer heat.

"okay, set the timer," felix panted, shoving the tray of soon-to-be brownies into the oven. you nodded before reaching out to snatch a towel laying on the counter, running it under the sink. after squeezing the water out, you brought a towel covered hand up to his forehead, you wipe off the sweat forming on him, glistening under the glare of the sunlight.

as soon as the cool towel came in contact with his skin, felix jumped, startled at the icy sensation contrasting with the heat. the surprised look on his face quickly morphed into a look of relief, the cold towel solacing him.

"shit, that feels so nice," he sighed. his adam's apple's bulge was evident as he threw his head back, leaning back on the counter.

felix narrowed his eyes at you as you leaned towards him, placing your hands on the counter at his sides. the direct lighting of the sun further highlighted his adam's apple, casting a dark shadow.

"you're so pretty." you whisper, gazing up at him. tilting your head, you bury your head in the crook of his neck, then moving to kiss his adam's apple. "so, so pretty" you mutter in between pecks. you can feel the slight bob of his adam's apple against your lips as he gulps. it felt as if there was only you two in the world, bathing in the golden pool under the sunlight. your hand moved up to his soft hair, lightly caressing his locks. the backlight of the sun peeked through his blonde hair, outlining it in a soft glow, making him seem like an angel. maybe he was. light breaths escaped from his lips, breath hitching every few times you looked up at him.

the ring of the alarm snaps the two of you out of your daze, ending with you leaning away to take the brownies out. looking back at a disheveled felix, light giggles escape your lips at the sight. "what are you doing? come here and help me."

everyday i wait for you, only for you to never come. i look at the time, hoping, praying, you might come home today.

we had a date today. 10 am, at the cafe where we met. did you remember? well, clearly not, because its currently 11 pm. i prayed. i prayed because it gave me the tiniest glimmer of gold hope, that you would come.

do you even know how worried i've been? do you know how much i miss you? do you know what you're doing to me?

do you even know i still exist?

does this relationship still exist? but is it even still a relationship if you don't even try? i tried, didn't i? so why can't you?

i know your job is hard, and it takes a lot of time. i know you don't have enough time for relationships, but you agreed. you agreed to try, so why won't you put in the smallest effort into this?

you used to pick me up and swing me around when you got home. i felt like a kid, but it was okay because the way you looked at me was like we were the only ones in this world. it was okay because it was you.

now there isn't even a 'we' anymore.

Laughter echoed through the air as your boyfriend, for the 5th time, fell yet again, landing on the soft snow. A string of curses rang through the air, words that you would've never thought was coming out through his mouth if you hadn't been living together with him for almost a year now. "Shit, my ass-" he stood up unsteadily, rubbing where he had landed harshly. The pout that adorned his face when he looked up at you contrasted greatly from what just escaped through his mouth moments ago.

Skiing with you was actually his idea, he knew and saw how much you liked to ski. Felix had gotten back from a tour a few days ago, and he wanted to surprise you with something. Apparently, as the members told you, he had pestered them the whole time on the flight back for ideas with what to plan. It was Chan who suggested skiing, and Felix figured that Chan would know you best, since you guys were practically siblings.

As Felix sat on his seat, he distinctly recalled you talking about a new skiing resort that had opened up, but he knew you hadn't booked a time to visit yet, with all your exams coming up. He immediately went to book rooms, and when he turned on his phone, Felix was greeted with your smiling face. "Bro's whipped..." a voice came from behind, and he swiveled around to see Seungmin and I.N. peeking over the seats. Face flushed, Felix buried his head in Chan's shoulder, knowing the teasing would come anytime now.

A single snowflake landed on the palm of his hand as he stuck his hand out from the car window. To say he was excited was an understatement. Felix couldn't wait to get home, to see your face, not just over facetime, but to be able to touch it and kiss it. Kiss you.

ding dong.

You practically ran towards the door, knowing that Felix was coming home today. But life had other plans, of course. The normally smooth rug suddenly became a rocky surface, tripping you with every step you took. "Fuck-" The table that usually sat next to the couch seemed to suddenly have beef with you, punching you in the knee. "Shi-" The ordinary counter corner seemed to stick out a few inches more, jabbing your toe. Now limping, you finally reach the door, opening it so fast it didn't even creak like how it usually did. Instead, it gave you a glimpse of your beloved, banged on the wall, and sprung back, closing again. You stood there, stunned at what just happened. Finally regaining your composure, you open the door again, more carefully this time, to see Felix standing at the exact same spot as when you had caught a flash of him earlier. He had a nervous smile on his face, which disappeared almost instantaneously as you jumped on him. "Felix!" you exclaimed, burying your face into his neck. He smelled just like what you had remembered, like Felix. Like home.

"I booked a few nights for the new ski resort!" Felix announced as he flopped down on the couch, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you down with him. You gasped, not sure if it was out of surprise for what he had just announced or the way you felt the air knocked out of you as you landed on his chest. Eyes shining as you looked up, "really?" you questioned, hope in your voice. He smiled at the sight, "yup", popping the p at the end. You felt that your heart could burst with how much you loved this man. You almost couldn't believe he was yours. That he chose you.

So that was how you ended up here, attempting to teach a sulky Felix how to ski. "It's too harddd" he whined, opting with just plopping right down on the snow, refusing to get up. It was at times like this where he really felt like a kid, grumbling and complaining- you could never be mad at him for it though, he was too cute. Giggling, you grabbed his hand, trying to pull him up, "get up, its not that hard...- " you were interrupted with a yelp coming from no one but yourself as you slipped and fell down next to him. Laughter resonated from his chest, and you found it contagious as you let out a series of laughter alongside Felix. "I think I love you" he announced, breathless. Looking over at him, you smiled. "I love me too."
