Goodnites XXL First Impressions: Absorbency

These came in handy overnight. I can confidently report back with information that absorbency wise, the XXL's are no worse than the XL’s. There is some discoloration when wet, more than in previous iterations of Goodnites. I imagine this is because the designs for the XXL's is less complex. Capacity is greatly increased. Last night was relatively heavy for me, and the XL's would’ve handled it, but been completely full. The XXL's meanwhile felt like they could take another full wetting before reaching capacity.
I'd estimate that individuals up to 200+ pounds could manage to squeeze into these, but I'd only recommend trusting them if you're within the weight range of 120-165 pounds.
If you've had problems with goodnites in the past, especially due to insufficient rate of absorbency, then the XXL's won't change anything for you. If your problems were related to insufficient *capacity* then the XXL’s might be better for you.
My takeaway: Goodnites XXL are the holy grail for individuals in between youth and adult sizes who still experience bedwetting, like myself. I loathe the bland designs, but the extra coverage (especially on the sides) and capacity more than make up for it. Thrilled to have these.

“Awww why is he crying? I thought you said he wanted to wear diapers again mom”
“Oh he does. Don’t mind him, he just gets a bit fussy when he’s making poopies. It’s actually right on schedule — always happens this time of morning”
“Awww poor thing. Does your tummy hurt? It’s ok to to push it out and make it feel better. Don’t worry about us being here. Mom told us you asked if you could wear diapers again so there’s nothing to hide.”
“Just push and let all the pressure fill your pants. You’ll feel so much better.”
“Give him some space Sarah. I know you just love your stepbrother and are trying to be supportive, but you just have to let nature take its course. There’s really no need to fuss over him. He’ll be happy as a clam again in a few minutes once his pamper is full.”
“Mom, doesn’t he have to start college again in a few weeks? How is he going to do that if he’s so used to this routine?”
“Well I’ve been thinking that over as well and think it may be best for him if he has a gap year or two to stay home and finally just fully get the attention and care he’s always secretly wanted. I think this routine is much better suited for him for now.”

“And remember to put him down for a nap at 2:30 even if he doesnt want to stop playing. Just tuck him into bed with his baby bottle and he’ll fall asleep before you know it. And just a heads up that he usually has a dirty diaper during naptime so be ready for a change when you wake him up”
