Hello hello, I had to make this because I love him so so much and it's so overwhelming and I need to do something about it SHDGHAHFHDS

NEW GAME:

It's not very apparent at first.

He notices how you always make him run back to the nearest save point to top up on hp and competence points.

Muffled worried ramblings seep through the screen, "I want to keep him healthy," "Better be safe than sorry," etc etc.

He listens closely.

"Does he know I love him?" "He's so silly," "I love him..."

It is strange. He was not made for adoration. Not to his knowledge, at least.

He's unsure if returning those sentiments would stray from his purpose, but he finds himself wanting to hear more clearly.

He notices how often you feed him, how you tell him that he's strong and handsome, how you carefully go through equipment and stats to build him as much as you can. (The add-ons get love too, of course.)

The virtual strings which bound him to the input of your keys begin to feel warm, familiar. He could almost feel your figure against him, hands reaching to his wrists, guiding gently.

His ears flush with a fluttering in his chest, but he doesn't have the words to reply with.

"Do you know how much I love you?" He does. Each time you tell him, his voice bubbles up to his throat, reaching his tongue, only to be swallowed back again. But he knows very well.

RECIPROCATION:

(This is moreso outside of the medium of the game, how I think he'd be on Earth as a slightly eldritch guy.)

Shy and tentative, especially in public. He's not used to giving affection at all, but seeing as you care for him so fervently, he tries his best.

His four eyes are always on you. Sometimes he walks into things because of it, bonks himself on poles and stubs his toes on furniture. You may have to hold his hand to keep him from knocking into things, though he enjoys it, as it feels like the complete touch that was hiding behind the illusory grazes of the key inputs is finally his.

He very much enjoys your personal space. Although he's not good at initiating touch, he often sits/stands closely to you. He likes being in your presence.

His ears get red easily, even if his face doesn't flush much. When he's blushing on his face though, the rosiness spreads across his cheeks to his jaw, and he looks somewhat drunk from it.

Will eat anything you feed him. He trust you to take good care of him, and it'll take some time, but eventually he lets himself be pampered.

He lets you dress him up, and always lets you know which fabrics and such that he prefers. Go on shopping dates with him and tell him about the stitching, materials, and how to tell good quality garments from the bad ones, he'll be very attentive :] He feels especially happy that your attention to detail extends to his well being too.

He's easily flustered by you, though never rejects your care. Sometimes it's overwhelming for him, how strongly you show your love, but he's grateful for it.

It does make him occasionally blue-screen.

ACTS OF SERVICE GALORE. Even if he struggles with other forms of affection, it's been baked into him to get something done. Anything you want done? He's on it. Let him bury his face into your chest while you praise him too!

He likes sniffing you sometimes. Just puts his face into the crook of your neck and takes a big whiff.

Most chalant man alive. What is subtlety?

No matter how long it's been, he never seems to get used to the sheer adoration you give him, but it does get easier for him to accept and reciprocate :]
