Song Of The Day for October 10th: Blockade - Ace Combat 04 OST https://youtu.be/haEoo0RHu-Q Early missions are the simplest in just about any game, but im always glad to be reminded that the Ace Combat titles dont skimp out on them. I went back and did a full playthrough in about 3 and a quarter hours on Hard and was really delighted to actually play with themes again, weaving between ECM and fighter craft to land hits on heavily armoured transports. Song Of The Day for October 9th: Daytona - The Midnight https://youtu.be/m4cjcOi6d38 Well this track is actually a day out of place just for the Monstercat spot to be occupied. But this track really set the tone of a full day of racing around the countryside with other modified cars and is honestly an anthem to me now for those events. Song Of The Day for October 8th: Last weeks Monstercat Monday By Your Side (Ft. EMEL) - Stonebank https://youtu.be/sQYc5oAE9Z8 Oh man, do I have some catching up to do for my incompetence again. So to start things off, lets go from last week with a genre that I havent listened to in quite a while being Happy Hardcore on Monstercat. Though it is more apt to go with just the hardcore title for this, being a slightly dryer and darker track as can be somewhat implied by the artwork. Song Of The Day for October 7th: Highway Star - Fury Weekend https://youtu.be/2eJ5okJTO6E Maybe I should lay off FiXT content for the next while, but its so difficult when there is just so much good stuff coming out of the network, especially with the piloted FiXT Neon which is where these retro style tracks are made. And for the dark miami highway crawlers this is the ride right up to the top with this track. Riffing guitar under looping bass synths to really keep this track pounding down the road. Song Of The Day for October 6th: The Entangled - Noisia https://youtu.be/4X2p9rc6Jis Honestly I just needed a quick and easy fix for some music and Noisia is really an ol’reliable at this point for something interesting yet familiar. This track breaks that by a lot with a sort of Noisia style dubstep, neuro-hop track that reminds me far more of Protostar. Song of The Day for October 5th: Vacancy - RLYR https://youtu.be/Oi5FZAGnXlY I told myself I wouldnt be doing a post-rock track right after ITTCT yesterday, but alas here we are. So basically RLYR is what would happen if you just turned a rock and roll band and eliminated the vocalist to play off of each other. Song Of The Day for October 2nd: Pyxis - HOME Straight out of vaporwave and right into retro EDM. I have heard this track a bunch in other commentators videos, but finally hearing it as a standalone piece really just puts into perspective the musical genius that is HOME. Song Of The Day for October 1st: Monstercat Monday Edition! Flow - Slippy https://youtu.be/66hlb1cOmnA First of the month of Spooktober, and while not a scary or spooky track by name its soundscape on the other hand really does catch some ominous mystery to it with some Koto-like samples used in this hart hitting trap track. Season aside I really do love this track and still am growing to greatly appreciate Slippy’s work. Trap day for myself coming soon probably just to dip more into the genre. Song Of The Day for September 30th: Coral Highlands Large Monster Theme - Monster Hunter World OST https://youtu.be/KXOBWIVduHo Legiana truly is one of my absolute favorite monsters to fight in this game purely with support of this soundtrack. A shrill and chilling orchestral piece that emboldens your hunter to push on despite the odds, an ever-present trend in this entire soundtrack as a whole honestly and why I grow to love it more and more with the multi-dozens of hours I have in by this point. I am so happy for this guy, I knew and called it that he would be an absolute masterful fit amongst all of the artists here with the likes of Stahli, Celldweller, Raizer and many others with his brand of sci-fi industrial rock that he is able to produce. Song Of The Day for September 26th: Ono - Culprate https://youtu.be/h-QvQPMZusw Ono? Definitely an Oh No, to which I say “bring it on” as this track really is an interesting dubstep piece in terms of build and delivery. A long slow build that is insanely simple under the samples before dropping into rich and throbbing breakdowns that just increase with complexity overtime. Song of The Day for September 24th: Missed Monstercat Monday Evaporate (Ft. Aloma Steele) - Trivecta https://youtu.be/1eXGv_wa7DE Ah geez, almost another week gone by. So time for some catch-up again, and doing so in a genre that I really really wished got more uploads into it just because I love it so. Trivecta was able to put together what for the most part a really high quality electro track that really just never keeps the beat down, thus earning its position in this list. Debate of the genre placement aside, this track really is just really great stuff as Trivecta is a modern dark horse of MC that I would love to hear more of.  Have a suggestion for Song Of The Day?
