Default replacement for the residential mailbox and trash can. Rambling and download link under the cut.

EDIT: I updated the MAILBOX default on 5/15/21, grab it from here instead.

The mailbox replacement is based on this default using this 4t2 conversion. The default colors are the ones shown above but I recolored the wood part in black, white and the three AL wood colors, and converted these recolors for the metal part (little preview below). I'd love some plain recolors of the metal and there are a bunch of great TS4 recolors out there still but making recolor packages obliterates any desire I have to create CC so... sorry! You only get these 10 patterned ones.

Oh, and if anybody's interested in recoloring them I'm fairly sure you need go dig in SimPe for the mailbox instead of trying to recolor the default package (that works for the trash can though).

Sims delivered and received mail just fine when testing but I could not be bothered to animate the flag and little door, so there is some clipping -- surprisingly not too bad!

The trash can is based on this default using this 4t2 conversion. Green is the default color but it comes in all of C&K's colors and there's an invisible recolor too that came with the original default and I decided to leave in because why not.

Sims took out trash just fine when testing but since I don't care about them I did not test the other trash can interactions like kicking it or salvaging food.

Here's how they look in neighborhood view. The trash can looks great and picks up recolors too but the mailbox doesn't. It looks like it's pulling textures from the game's mailbox for the wood part? I don't know how to fix that but I can recommend iCad's little mod to make it invisible from hood view if it bothers you too much.

I just startet a custom hood! This is my 1st Sim: Alina Francis. You can see her interest on the pics. She works now at the Science Career, since her Hobby is Sciente too lol  I’m just getting starting at creating the sims for this hood - Its going to have a “Poor/Starter” area, Rich/Tradicional area and Farm area! :D Btw the Turn Ons and Offs are random - also the personality and everything thats possible haha I’ll be posting everything here on tumblr ~~

Custom 3t2 Easels diagonal placement fix

Hi guys!

Some years ago, Anoeska published this wonderful set that added more painting options to the game. I always found it amazing, it’s such a fresh addition to the game! The only issue was that it was a second set of easel rather than a global mod, which means that all the custom easels shold have been updated separately.

That’s what the great Fractured Moonlight did - she shared a beautiful set of easel conversions from TS3 with the extra functions added and it was one of the most useful CC ever!

Last year, on MTS, gdayars created one of those fixes I was waiting for years - the functional diagonal easel. I admit it, that was one of the best fix ever done, I think everybody was completely sick of the easel working only if placed on the grid.

Few days ago, I wanted to see if was there a tutorial about what gdayars did and I found the tutorial and the kit in the original post - very easy and clear to do - and I was able to edit Fractured Moonlight’s easels and made them working in diagonal/off grid placement.

So:

-The package fixes the 12 original 3t2 easels, converted by @fracturedmoonlight Moonlight;

-I’ve only fixed the main canvas (I don’t use the child and the resized versions of the mod);

-The names are exactely the same as FM’s, if you are already using them, just replace the old files;

-The files are compressed;

-The original meshes are included, thanks a lot Fractured Moonlight!

Added morphs to Oawus’s 4t2 conversion of Ridgeport’s Cortado sweater and Latte dress. And also EP08 Wide Leg Jeans. Maxis or Smooth hands options. [Download]

Then age converted sweater and pants for TF. Salved to AF files. Morphs. Pants everyday only; sweater everyday-pj. Maxis or Smooth hands for the top. Also want to point out that the pants have waist higher than usual, so they won’t work with all the tops, but they should work with crop tops, naked-close-to-body tops and wider tops. Also made some txtr packages for the dress, basically combined original colors to have differently colored sweater and skirt. No swatch, but the naming is “top color-bottom color”. Everyday only. No mesh in archive. [Download 2 colored dress]

And then i saw Trillyke’s edit of those pants for S4 and really wanted those gradient and multicolored pants as well so i added their textures to this mesh. Both TF and AF, with TF slaved to AF. No meshes in archive. [Download Trillyke’s Go Baby jeans]

It’s requested hair time again!

The first one is just a recolor (idk it had a weird mapping and I couldn’t even retexture the scalp part). Well, the second one said dreads, so I retextured it with the sims 3 dreads, because I didn’t like the original texture (but I also blended it in on the scalp part). And I added the Melodie age conversions too to the Floppy hair, but it requires the University EP!
