Rewatching peak Rn and I think that we as a fandom sometimes take for granted how fucking cool these drones are.

Like, murder drones appreciation post lowkey. The pilot episode gives me a feeling that nothing else in media comes close to just by how awesome the concept of these things really is.

I’m starting to get hyper fixated on Murder Drones again chat

After all those N angst posts I made, I think he deserves some love after… This time around I have two inspirations, one from @tadc-and-md-sideblog headcannons and this one repost I saw on a post by @deetheteadrinkingdragon. Hope y’all like this.

Hugging my N plushie like he's my lifeline half the time lately

I may have only just watched the series last December, but—

Y'all need to understand how much this episode changed my brain chemistry

Specifically, N in this episode, and his and Uzi's bond.

I don't know how to describe it other than. This episode is when N became one of my comfort characters.

This is where Uzi was really showing how much she needed and wanted him with her.

The scene where Uzi briefly came back to her senses in the middle of her psychotic murder spree and in a haze of fear the only thing she asks is if she can see him. And when she gets denied, the anger sends her right back into Solver murder mode.

The way she fell to her worst state and most of the others' reactions were to run from her, or kill her.

Except for N.

N, who instead of abandoning her or freaking out, removed her from the situation and found a way they could talk in complete privacy, safe from everyone else. Sure, that way was yeeting her 15 miles into the sky and then flying up to fall with her, but this is Murder Drones, so we don't question it :)

N, who chose to respond to her seeming madness and murderous actions by simply asking in the gentlest of voices, "You wanna tell me what's the matter?"

Before all this, it was his kindness and gentleness that made Uzi see him as a safe zone, so to speak. Someone she had grown fond of, emotionally connected to, and felt safe with. To the point that just seeing his face (and realizing she'd hurt him) was enough to instantly snap her back to her senses.

He was the only one she was embarrassed at seeing her like that. But he didn't judge or make her feel worse.

He was so. so. gentle. So kind. His example and its effect on our feisty little goth gremlin really shows how powerful kindness and gentleness can be.

N knew how to comfort her. When she wouldn't open up on her own, he opened up to her, instead. He brought back her smile. Caught her when they hit the ground.

And when she apologized, even told him she'd definitely killed people during her feverish frenzy, he wasn't fazed. Obviously he's a murder drone himself and has taken plenty of lives himself, so he wasn't in any position to judge, anyway, but still. The way he responded was playful, gentle, kind, dismissive of the guilt and negative things she was feeling, in favor of reassuring her that they could move forward and figure it out with baby steps. Together. 🥺💜💛

N's example of simple kindness, gentleness, and unconditional support and care— in this episode especially— shook me to the core.

Of course I knew such things were important, but really getting to see this example warmed my heart so much. It still does.

He stayed by her side the rest of the episode.

Oh hey no worries! I think I only sent 2 headcanon related ones, and maybe also 1 about something to do with episode 6? Can't fully remember. But yeah sounds like it could be a mix of multiple people's.

Again no rush or pressure! I'm glad at least they went through (..assuming. maybe. somebody's went through XD) otherwise I woulda been mad at tumblr for eating them. (And idk if the uncomfortable one was mine specifically but in any case it's definitely okay to not vibe with something and at least for me I wouldn't be personally offended in any way 😊)

I did get them!! Most likely. I have like 5 things in my inbox currently and all of them are anonymous; there was only one that I wasn't entirely comfortable and sure about answering (idk if it was you) but there's no issue with the others!! My apologies, for these kinds of answers I like to sit down and really put thought into my answers, and I just haven't had that kind of energy and time 🥲 It's absolute crunch time at my college and I have a huge project presentation lesson thing I'm doing tomorrow that I've been prepping for almost the entire semester 🥴 I promise I'll get to them as soon as I've got the time and energy!! Uzi would kill anyone that calls her cute because she has a reputation to uphold, but in the same breath would go home to her dark aura evil lair (bedroom) and kick her feet and twirl her hair and giggle like ‘omgggggg’ (then she would punch her pillow because she’s acting so stupid)

She’s also literally just a girl! Who likes cute things!! You guys should acknowledge that more I think, we don’t have to confine characters to a single trait!

Uzi would be just as ecstatic to yap about cute dogs or dress nice, or whatever! She’s just brings an unmysterious edgy cringe dark lord vibe to it!

The kill-all-humans emo robot girl also saves bugs! She’s smart, she’s sensitive, she’s traumatized, she’s touch starved, she cares about her friends and family so much to the point where she prioritizes their safety and comfortability above her own, even when it’s detrimental to her! She’s so cool!

Thank you for listening to my tired little rant I just love that emotional cringe little gremlin and the duality + relatability of her character so much. I hope this makes sense…
