there's something I do about once a week over on my other art blog, where I write a bit about whatever I'm working on, and I thought I'd start doing something like that over here!

that knight-priest illustration took off way further than I thought it would! it was actually a test run for a short comic idea I had been fucking around with: a disgraced lord who killed his brother and becomes a knight as a form of penance and ends up falling in love with a franciscan.

and underneath that notebook is the notebook I've been writing bad governance in. it is. ohh. the edits are many. I forgot to keep track of the election cycles, which is a huge oversight, since many of the characters are politicians.

Some stuff I did of Nohreh for the RP group he's in, including some foreshadowing for the plot I'm planning for him

A bit of context under the cut if anyone's curious

Azalea Valley is a slice of life role-playing group set in the current year, in a small town on a fictional rural island mostly unknown or unreachable to the common person in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, mostly populated by Spanish speakers due to its proximity to South America. Here the characters run their own businesses, be it farming, ranching, or providing a service to their neighbours (think Stardew Valley, Ghibli movies, Coral Island, Animal Crossing) with some added magic and mysteries to the everyday life.

Nohreh arrives to the island searching for his dear grandpa, who dissappeared under mysterious circumstances after a fight with his family a few years ago. His grandpa's stories lead him to find that there seems to be a big secret his family is keeping from him and his brother, involving the existence of fantastic creatures and the posibility of him being one of them. He settles down, starts working at a fish shop and begins unravelling the secrets of the island while searching for clues about his grandpa's whereabouts with only his old fantastic tales about this place to guide him
