nancy wheeler is certain she has heard those words before. she barely looks up from the the task at hand. notes she had taken now and she's reviewing them. she doesn't know how to read jack at times. which makes her feel some type of distrust. but that is what she feels towards most people, especially when she finds herself in the middle of something. "-someone has to keep trying." she says, not dryly but rather intently. "but in general, for you information. no. not when i'm positive there is something we are missing." that leads to trouble, to targets in people's backs. usually hers. it leads her being short and abrupt. it's as if she hasn't learned her lesson. but the last time she gave up, the last time she shrugged things off she was wrong. and nancy finds herself in a position where she can't be wrong anymore. "you have to understand, there's a bigger picture here. and it puts us at risk. everyone. it's up to us to find out, to try and fix before it gets out of control." she let's out a breath. "so are you in?" she wouldn't normally ask, but she is giving him what she didn't have. a choice.
