First Look: Taking It Back to the 70s with Jibri Fall 2015

Who is ready for some more plus size fall fashion!?! Well today, I am excited (well, elated is more like it) to share with you the latest from Atlanta plus size design label, Jibri! Known for her tailoring, edge, and quality, the Jibri collection for fall is serving us so much 70s attitude and I love it all.

No stranger to the blog, we have done a few interviews and have shared her latest and today is no exception! On talking inspiration and aesthetic, the designer behind the brand, Jasmine Elder shares:

All the leaves are brown & the sky is gray&s. This has been a year of self-reflection for me so naturally my design inspirations take that trip with me.

This fall I was all about bright knits, aggressive plaids, playful prints, rich texture and of course a classic silhouette.  I played with wools of all types&ttons and one of my favorites&p>

When I was in high school, one of my first big designs was a skirt made entirely of neckties. I&s for years and decided to incorporate some of them into my fall pieces.

The introduction of new materials, decadent layers, sumptuous fabrics, and sequins has me all geeked to play in the newness for fall. Eloquii Introduces Shoes and Wide Calf Boots!

Be still my heart… I am mostly here for the boots. For reals, but when I got this note in my email about Eloquii launching shoes after a survey they sent out to us, I hurriedly (on my birthday) had to share the collection and announcement with you!

&œshoes” on the site nearly 5,500 times since the relaunch last year, the brand is rising to the occasion, by designing a full wide shoe line including flats, heels and boots-available sizes 7-12.&

Having another place and brand that is giving us wide foot and wide calf fashionistas a place to shop is exciting! I mean… I need these burgundy over the knee high heeled boots. BAD. Like… I am dying for them. And with their boots touting a 20 ½ inch calf option (for the size 8 boots) there is some fun and fashion about to happen!

Italian plus size designer and luxury brand, Marina Rinaldi re-introduces a younger, trend driven line, Persona by Marina Rinaldi and I am here for all of it.  I have been following this brand for a while now, trying to gauge, read up on, and understand more about this youthful, playful, and fashionable younger sister of Marina Rinaldi and today, I am hyped to share with you more about this new plus size collection and the look book!

(PS. They have been around for years, as I have shared above, but this is the first time in a while that Marina Rinaldi has integrated, launched, and has put a concentrated effort behind this line and I am hyped about it)

If you are not familiar with the Marina Rinaldi brand, Marina Rinaldi is the luxury plus size brand from the Max Mara family! Named after the matriarch and grandmother of Max Mara, Marina Rinaldi gives us the finest of fabrics, execution, and Italian fabulousness! A family of brands that I have long lusted over, throughout my years in retail and blogging!

So now that Persona is in the mix, giving us a youthful and contemporary option and alternative to the Marina Rinaldi sophisticated and classic silhouettes? I am ready and here for all of it and I am geeked about this.

Persona by Marina Rinaldi is a new challenge for the Max Mara group brand, whose latest line aims at satisfying the desires of the young and fashion-conscious slice of the market, those who are always in search of solutions that blend style, price and variety.

As its name implies, Persona by Marina Rinaldi is a line inspired by innovative concepts based on constant evolution, not only in terms of style but of wearability.

Denim has been treated with consistent stress and abrasion washes

Prints are layered and contrasted

T-shirts are decisively shorter than Marina Rinaldi

Shirts, tops, and dresses are not afraid to underline the cleavage.

There are more body conscious fits and silhouettes, especially showing off the waistline

So, funnily, I was going to sprinkle these plus size bridal dress options throughout the month, but after yesterday’s comments from our other bridal dress post, I decided to take this week in a whole other direction and bring you a few more plus size bridal designers and collections for you to see the variety of options and gorgeous dresses out there!
