depends on what stage of your relationship you're in!

if you've only been together a short time, he really isn't sure what to do. he's never been a "sickly" person, so his idea of getting over a cold is to ignore it until he feels normal again. when you come home complaining of body aches and chills, he just rolls his eyes and pushes you to bed. when you don't get up for work or school the next morning he's annoyed again, but very quickly realizes that normal people don't get sick like him.

you most definitely have whatever flu is going around, and honestly he could probably tell you the exact strain if he paid attention. currently though, he's a little grossed out that you're sneezing and coughing all over his bed. Regardless, he does care about you and will reluctantly stay home to help you out. He's really good at making you laugh despite how awful you feel - not because he wants you to laugh, he's just so pissy and bratty it's like he's the sick one instead. Eventually though he will start to think you look awfully small and cold curled up in bed, and mayyyybe it wouldn't hurt to lay next to you. because you're cold and pathetic and sickly, of course...nothing else. if you end up splayed on top of him and his face nuzzled in your hair, then that's no one's business but his...

if you've been together for a long time, then he has this drill perfected. he makes you eat and take your medicine on a schedule because he does not want to drag this cold out any longer than he needs to. he holds you tight and lets you sleep all day, and he doesn't even mention it when you drool a little on him. it's not like he'll get sick from it anyway. and besides, he's learned over time that this is the perfect way to get quiet time to read his Important Science Folders. you can literally spend and entire day groaning and passed out from pain and nausea in his arms and he'll keep you fed and medicated the entire time, just for an excuse to have some silence.

actually though he does love you, in his own odd way. he isn't a naturally affectionate person so it takes him time to learn how to care for you, but he'll do anything you ask or need just to keep you happy and safe and comfortable <3
