Albedo had quite a hunch it would be raining today. He was out with Ly on a trip to Mondstadt city, and the weather had confirmed his suspicions. A cloud allowed a single drop onto his nose, then many more after that.

" Ah.. aren't we lucky? " The alchemist pulls out his umbrella, specially decorated with the Khaenri'ahn symbol that's usually found on its survivor's body somewhere.

He holds it out, having Ly walk with him under the dark blue umbrella, his hand covering hers as they share a glance. Albedo then leaned over, a small kiss gifted to the young woman under the protecting canopy of cloth with him.

" This rain reminds me of the time you and I went jumping in puddles with Klee... What an amazing memory, my sunlight... I hope to share many more with you in the future. "

(//ah npnp!! also thamkies djsjx ^^ and the princess carry was rlly cute too!!) she tilted her head like a cat, eyes doeful before intertwining her hand with his. “in that case, we’ll protect each other." ly concludes. she leaned into the coolness of his touch as he carried her back inside, nuzzling against him. once they were settled, ly gave him a sweet kiss in response. "i love you too, albedo. promise i'll see you in the morning?" ~Lycoris

The alchemist gives a quiet, breathy laugh at Ly's words.

" My sunlight.. of course we'll see each other in the morning. I promise. " Albedo moves a hand up, pushing a strand of hair away from her face and tucking it behind her ear with one soft motion. " Perhaps I'll have a surprise waiting for you in the morning as well. Get as much rest as possible.. and tell me if you can't fall asleep. I'll be glad to hum a tune for you, my beloved... "

He could feel his own eyelids begin to droop out of exhaustion. After all, it had been a long day.. what with Klee, Childe, and Venti.

Albedo knelt next to the pot, checking on the cooking food. He'd decided he wanted to cook for his beloved instead tonight, especially since she'd been out with Klee almost all day. He feels quite satisfied with what he's made, a small smile appearing across his lips. He just hoped Haruka would enjoy it as well...

(//AjHSWN IM SO SORRY I FORGOT TO STICK CHIYO IN MY LAST INTERACTION- is it okay if i send this one instead? 👉👈) the young woman squeezed albedo's hand, her gaze soon fixated on the device. "big brother albedo? big sis ly?" there came a familar young girl's voice. "can you hear me?" klee sounded tearful, despite the static that was interferring with the device. "please hurry! chiyo's hurt!" without warning, haruka collapsed beside albedo, her eyes wide with dismay. ~Lycoris

Albedo narrows his eyes, his expression becoming much more serious. He gently takes the device in his hands.

" I will be there soon, Klee. There is no need to fret. "

He takes Haruka's hand in his free one, and uses the waypoint in the city to appear around the Knight's headquarters. " My sunlight.. I will return soon. You. Take Haruka to my office. "

The alchemist points at one of the guards, who immediately jogs over.

(//aahdsks i had to make a slight change to my last one if thats okay! 💦) haruka's gaze softened after hearing his words, the loving smile she gave him was warm as she held his wrist. "i love you too, albedo. with all my heart." she murmured. "i don't want to see you injured either." when she pulled away, she handed him the ribbon that was tied in her hair, a keepsake. without warning, the dodocommunication they kept began to buzz loudly, startling haruka. ~Lycoris

" I will be fine, my sunlight. There is no need to worry about me. " Albedo took the ribbon and smiled down at it before glancing at the device. He quickly and gently tied the ribbon into his own hair and put the dodocommunication in his hand.

" Wonder who this could be.. " He answered, speaking a tentative 'hello?'

(//ahh no worries!! also welcome back!) haruka managed a small smile, although the worry in her eyes were still evident as she nodded. ". . . okay, please come back safely." haruka replied softly, her cheeks pinkening slightly. her smile seemed to brighten. "i'll be in the city waiting your return, albedo. also um, should we start packing for our trip?" she motioned towards all the scattered items. ~Lycoris

The alchemist nodded in return to her words. He moved a bit closer and put a gentle gloved hand onto her cheek.

" Of course. We should.. after this ordeal with Rubedo. I love you, my muse. You are.. the greatest person that has landed in my life, ever since the fall of Khaenri'ah and the death of my master. I hate to see you injured.. especially because of him. "

(//ahh okie ty!!) the young woman nodded, before alarm shot through her veins after she was patched up. "the city- wait, but what about you?" haruka managed to say as she handed him the rumpled paper and took his free hand. "what if-" she cut herself off, before pecking albedo's lips. "promise me- you'll come back unscathed?" ~Lycoris

" I will be fine, my sunshine. I worry more about you and Klee. My brother has overstepped his boundaries, daring to harm you. So it is my responsibility to make sure that he does not continue this behavior.. as the failed experiment. "

Albedo returned the kiss to her hand, his expression staying neutral with undertones of anger.

"he left this note before he attacked." haruka began as she set a rumpled paper on the bed. "it happened too quickly. i- oh no. klee's still out there, she's still hiding in starglow cavern. what if he found her?" haruka sat up abruptly, wincing. ~Lycoris

Albedo finished bandaging her up just as he heard about Klee. " Klee as well? I will take the paper. My sunlight, please take my hand. I will use a teleport waypoint to get you into the city and then return here. I cannot allow any more harm to come to you.. under any circumstance. "

(//okie ty!!) "albedo, are you there?" haruka said. her eyes were still wet with tears as she stumbled into the lab, limping. "rubedo found me again." she yelped when she accidentally put weight on her leg, nearly collapsing. the injury was hastily bandaged. ~Lycoris

Albedo quickly caught Haruka in his arms, picking her up bridal style and taking her to their bed. He seemed to be very, very angry.. however, he aided his lover with the same amount of care that he always does. Without speaking, he took the bandages from inside the beside drawer and began to properly dress her injury.

" My sunshine.. tell me what happened to the best of your abilities. "

haruka opened her mouth to speak, but fell silent. she felt exhausted from worrying for the past week. "but what if he tries to hurt you?" she managed to ask, walking over to the couch to rest before accepting the cup from him and took a sip from it. "i don't think i can take my mind off of it since- uh oh. where's klee?" her peach-colored eyes grew alarmed once more. ~Lycoris

" My sunlight, Klee is safe with Kaeya. I saw them both off at Mondstadt's gates today. Do not worry.. I have already taken many precautions against what my brother may do. He will not be able to overpower me in any way. There's a reason that one of us failed. "

Albedo's last sentence was dripping in scorn and unfair disdain towards the failed experiment. He squatted down next to Haruka and made an effort to initiate eye-contact with her.

(//no worries!!) haruka winced, twiddling both of her thumbs as soon as she brought up rubedo, but nodded with a weak smile as albedo led her to sit. "it was brief, but when i was out near the tundra borders collecting herbs, he was watching me from a thicket trees." her voice was shaking. "he wanted to make his presence clear. and left this note for me to find. i think it's some sort of warning." she suddenly felt very cold. ~Lycoris

" I see. Thank you, my sunlight.. I will take a look at the note and speak to him. For now, I think it best you take a rest. "

Albedo hands her a steaming hot cup of cocoa, a reassuring and warm smile on his face.

" Take your mind off of everything for a moment or three. I do not wish to see you in this type of worrying state... It makes me feel strange.. to see someone as cheerful as you this concerned.. "

A small smile stretches itself across the alchemist's lips as he moves a hand towards Haruka's head. Savoring the sweet silence between them as they cuddled, Albedo wasn't expecting his partner to lay her head on his chest at all. However he gladly took any type of physical contact at this moment. He'd been overworking himself quite a lot lately, not getting any sleep for several days in a row. Now that Haruka has forced him to take a break and relax... He felt at peace. Continuing to stay silent, only humming a soft tune, Albedo pulled her even closer.

(//here’s a lil bun!! >> ₍ᐢ ̥ ̞ ̥ᐢ₎ ♥) “mmhm.” a soft giggle escapes from her lips, her gaze growing tender before snuggling closer to the alchemist. ly’s peach eyes wide grew curiousity momentarily upon hearing his next few words, about to respond, but exhaustion was getting to her. “m’kay.. i’ll see you when i wake up.” she managed to whisper finally, giving his lips a soft kiss in reply before drifting off. -morning- when dawn arrived, klee was already awake stifling her giggles. ~Lycoris

Albedo was still asleep... However, the reason why Klee was laughing was evident.

He was still cuddled into Ly, his hair all over the place. It seems it had unraveled during sleep, leaving messy blonde locks all over his pillow and around his head. The alchemist looked so peaceful as well, his eyes closed in pure blissful sleep. He even nuzzled closer into Ly, not even realizing his actions.

I ENDED UP COMBINING THE TWO THREADS! oh and i read the other responses as well!) she flushed a shade deeper at his affectionate teasing, soon burying her face in his collarbone, becoming very demure. "u-um, yeah. i'm gonna go get ready. but i'm relieved to hear that your brother won't be able to reach us." she sighed as she wrapped the blanket over herself again. "but, just know that i'll protect you too." ~Lycoris

" Alright.. ah, you really don't need to.. I would be devastated if anything happened. "

Albedo's skin was cool to the touch. He stayed in that position for a bit before moving, picking Ly up and moving her off of the cold rock, into the room, and setting her onto the bed. He was also trying to be as quiet as possible, as Klee was still asleep. " If we're to be fully rested, we should sleep. My sunlight.. I love you. "

The alchemist's words were random and sudden, but he truly meant them..
