"I'm not going to forget about it. Who did this to you?" His tone was tinged with panic, in a way that showed his concern. His movements, however, contrasted with gentle softness, his hand gently taking Zach's wrist so that he could inspect the injuries. It brought him back to his childhood. To bruising showing up on his brother. Knowing the cause but never being able to prevent it. "Please - Tell me what happened."

You’d smile and say something like ‘Old fashioned or timeless?’.” She smiled at the memory. 

 Wanda gave him a few moments to retrieve the memory and parse it, putting her hands on her knees as she did so. “I looked like a drowned rat.” She corrected him. She looked to the sky and the horizon and realised that she felt no desire to learn what was going on beyond it. “I could never feel lonely with you.” She assured him, taking his hand and squeezing it. 

“I’m not sure I ever want to leave here.” She admitted.

Harry blinks as she rushes to the globe, unsure as to what's going on. "Uh -" A soft noise leaves him as he's yanked up and out the back door, a laugh falling from his lips as realisation sinks in. Eyes look to her, a gentle flicker of adoration crossing his features as she gives him a sheepish smile. "Of course not! It'd be wrong to miss it."

Eyes look up to the sky, sticking his tongue out so that he can catch a snowflake, grinning. "I can't believe it's almost Christmas. The year has gone too quickly." His arm wraps around her, tucking her into his side in an attempt to help her stay warm. "What are your plans for it?"

Walking alongside him now, Mallory can’t remember what exactly she was so worried about. Yes. Arranged marriages were very archaic and outrageous in her book, but sometimes one simply must adapt to survive the times. It doesn’t mean she has to like it. Now that the ceremony itself is several hours behind them, she has resolved to make the best of her new life. “So, like, tell me something silly about yourself?”

It’s not as though conversation is lulling. They just met this morning. Mallory doesn’t know this man from Adam. “I’ll go first. When I was little, I finger-painted my bedroom wall with my mom’s supplies. Pinks and yellows and purples. They were extras she had laying around so I didn’t get in too much trouble. I don’t think my parents ever tried to clean that wall.” A laugh escapes her at the memory. The proverbial elephant in the room hangs over them like a scimitar. Everyone knows why arranged marriages happen. Power. Prestige. Continuing the family bloodline. “You should know, right off the bat, that if we have kids it’s probably going to be twins. I’m a twin; I have a brother. My mom is a twin as well.”
