personality wise, im a huge extrovert (ENFP) i tend to make friends everywhere i go with little to no effort at all. it comes naturally to me lol. im very energetic and extremely talkative, especially when the topic pertains to something im interested in! its really hard to get me to stop talking most of the time. i love making people happy, a little too much tbh so i can be considered a little bit of a people pleaser. im usually pretty quiet when it comes to speaking my mind so i don't make people upset even if im not wrong in the way i feel. though, on the other hand, i have trouble 'reading the room' more often than not so i tend to joke and stuff when it's not really the time. more often than not someone has to reel me in & tell me when to be serious or not since it's difficult for me to tell. despite all of that, there are rare times where my social battery can run extremely low, and those times i pretty much slink away and sit im silence because i just want to chill out for a bit.

my hobbies consist of drawingg, dancing (gymnastics & ice skating), and writing. i like the cold,, anything pink, history, and math. i very much dislike annoying people, people who cut me off while im talking/people who don't listen.. BUGS,, yeah lol

Itto is happy to meet someone who can match his energy, and you two could "talk each others' ears off" about your interests

When Itto shows you the little guy he found for the tournament, he realizes his mistake. Upon seeing your discomfort or nervousness, he would profusely apologize...but also work to try and show you that the Onikabuto isn't so bad

You distance yourself a little from the beetle, but try to put on a brave face - he went through so much effort to plan this, and has been a fun ball of energy. People pleasing definitely coming into effect here

The two of you exchange banter; he loves your jokes! Itto does his best to make you laugh and ensure you have a good time

Itto may not be the best about giving you some space if/when you need it. He might have a little difficulty understanding how you're feeling, so unless you're able to communicate it directly, he might try to bounce around and pull you along with him

Itto wins the tournament and excitedly picks you up, professing that while he may be the best ever at beetle battles, your support and willingness to hang in there with him got through to even the little bug and gave it extra stength

While I don't think Itto is necessarily a bad match for you, I do think there would be a lot of differences between the two of you which could lead to some serious conflict. Your people pleasing might go over his head. This, combined with his energy, may lead to a rapid drop in your own social battery. I do think he would make every effort he could to ensure that you're comfortable, but I think he would also have difficuty bringing his energy down - especially if you don't make it clearly known. You two do seem to have similar energies and while it may not be the best romantic match, you could have a lot of fun with one another.

I'd give this approximately a 64%. The relationship could work with a good amount of effort and open communication, but it may not be the most seamless. I do believe there are other characters who could be a better match and provide more balance for you!

The Yamas Explained - 8 Limb Path

The Foundation of Yoga When we mention yoga as asana (postures), we are only pertaining to one among 8 Limbs of Yoga. There are 7 other foundational pillars that structure the 8-fold-path and if we only specialise in the postures, we are ignoring 90% of the practice. within the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali states that every of the 8 limbs is adequate to the others and necessary. Yoga philosophy can sometimes feel very daunting and heavy, it’s tons to digest. thereupon being said, i would like to present this during a way that you’ll be ready to absorb and apply this to your life, so we'll take this step by step, one limb at a time. This will be first during a series of 8. Today we'll discuss the primary of 8 limbs: Yama. What are the YAMAS? The word yama translates to “restraints”. they're what Patanjali calls, the good Vows, a system of living. “The great vows are universal, not limited by class, place, time, or circumstance.” they're essentially guidelines asking us to be reasonable and decent to others. They are ethical disciplines that teach us the way to show up within the world and not be an asshole. Non-violenceTruthNon-stealingNon-excessNon-possessiveness AHIMSA – Non-violence II.35 “In the presence of 1 firmly established in non-violence, all hostilities cease.” There are obvious sorts of violence which will be easily understood like killing or physically harming another person or living being. We are taught from a young age to not harm others, but Ahimsa goes beyond just physical violence. It means “to do no harm”, which applies to others, ourselves, and therefore the world around us. It applies physically, mentally, and emotionally. Non-violence stands at the very core and foundation of yoga philosophy and practice. Non-violence shows up in some ways . one among the most important ways it shows up on behalf of me is that the way I ask myself. The negative self-talk that shows up once I look within the mirror and feel bloated, once I don’t like what my hair is doing, once I desire I’m not ok . this is often once I need to practice Ahimsa. If we would like to march through this life pityingly and act from an area of affection towards others, it's to start out with ourselves. Learning the way to move through lifestyle , and therefore the challenges we all face, is how we grow our capacity to be non-violent. When we practice Ahimsa continuously in our thoughts, words, and actions, our entire personality brings out those vibrations and from our core, we will act from an area of affection . SATYA – Truthfulness II.36 “To one established in truthfulness, actions and their results become subservient.” What Patanjali says about Satya is essentially that whatever you speak is your truth. This sutra doesn’t necessarily always ask telling the reality , it’s deeper than that. He says “ If a curse is spoken, it'll happen. If a blessing is spoken, it'll happen.” It’s an encouragement to steer an open life, to be more honest with ourselves so we will live a life that aligns truthfully to our values. This means standing in our truth and not telling little white lies, albeit it it makes us uncomfortable. It doesn’t mean be so truthful that you simply will hurt another person. We are to talk the reality when true, as long as it’s kind and necessary. If it’s not kind or necessary, then just don’t say it. We’re not meant to cover behind our niceness, we also are not meant to harm another with our words (ahimsa). There’s that quote from the bible “The truth will set you free”, and consistent with the yoga bible (The Yoga Sutras), John was right! Truth has the facility to free us from sorrow and fears. If we all know our truth and follow our integrity we will be more confident in deciding , and in our relationships with ourselves and with others. For me, finding my truth means really digging deep into Hell of my soul and excavating my core values. It’s not a simple task, but once we do that quite work, it’s extremely rewarding. Lately I’ve been practicing Satya by being more conscious of the lies I tell myself. My lies range from “you’re not good enough” all the thanks to “you’re better than them”. I also mislead myself about about time and money, creating an inner dialogue that creates me think there’s never enough. this is often a lie. When I’m ready to distinguish the difference between what are my truths and what are my lies, my life is far more peaceful. I’m a nicer person to myself and to others (again Ahimsa), and overall I feel more grounded. Trusting myself is one among the foremost valuable tools yoga has taught me. ASTEYA – Non-stealing II.37 “To one established in non-stealing, all wealth comes.” Patanjali says, “the richest person within the world is that the one with a cool mind, free from tension and anxiety.” He’s not just simply talking about stealing material possessions from others. We steal in numerous ways in which won't be obvious. Stealing can are available the shape of stealing other people’s ideas, or other people’s time. We steal from the world , we steal from ourselves, we steal from our own opportunity to grow. Let’s use the instance of stealing someone else’s excitement or sadness. I even have a lover who we’ll just call Susan. Any time I’m with Susan and I’m telling her about something exciting that’s happening in my life, or something that I’m sad about, Susan always finds how to show the conversation back on herself. this is often an enormous sort of stealing. once we compare ourselves to others or pipe in with our own stories when someone is else telling us their story, we are, albeit it’s subconscious, boosting our own ego’s and not being present for them. For all you yoga teachers out there, the thought of stealing time may be a big one. It’s important to honor time in order that you’re not stealing it from your students. People have places to be. We must consider it as our practice of Asteya. It’s not fair for you to consistently run 5 or 10 minutes over, that's not some time to require . If you’re getting to borrow ideas from other teachers, give credit where credit is due. Did any folks “make up” yoga? No! can we get inspired by other teacher’s sequencing? Of course! albeit they didn’t structure the pose, if you learned something from somebody else and you’re applying it to your class, honor your teachers and acknowledge them. This is true for timeliness generally . Practice non-stealing by exposure on time to a coffee date or dinner with the women . Honor each other’s time and your own, and remember of once you are taking over an excessive amount of of somebody else’s. BRAHMACHARYA – Non-excess II.38 “By one established in continence, vigor is gained.” All things carefully . The fourth yama asks us to use moderation in our lifestyle, and with our energy. this suggests that when our bodies are tired, we rest. And when we’ve been sitting on the couch for two days watching Netflix, we move. Essentially, Brahmacharya is about maintaining balance altogether senses by practicing moderation and consistency. Think for a flash about what’s sitting in boxes in your attic or within the basement or a storage unit. does one actually need these things? If you’re being honest, does one even know the contents of these boxes? once we have an excess amount of “stuff”, this is often described within the Sutras as overindulgence. It’s the things that you simply want, but you don’t actually need . In my experience, these things weighs us down and blocks us from reaching our greatest potential. Getting obviate the unnecessary possessions frees up space in our minds and in our lives. It creates a way of liberation and vitality. This also applies to an asana practice. once you do a pose because simply because you'll or simply because you see others around you doing it, but you don’t really need to try to to it, this is often practicing in excess. simply because you'll doesn’t always mean you ought to . It’s important that we concentrate to our bodies once we are on our mats so we will listen and concentrate to what we really need vs. what we would like . this stuff feel similar but if we take a better look, they're very different. And if we will lookout of our basic needs, the requirements subsided and fewer valuable. APARIGRAHA – Non-possessiveness II.39 “When non-greed is confirmed, a radical illumination of the how and why of one’s birth comes.” The 5th and final Yama, Aparigraha, means non-greed, non-possessiveness, or non-hoarding. It also can mean non-clinging, non-grasping, and non-coveting. Another to thanks to check out this, is having the ability to “let go”. Whatever we possess, possesses us. We can abandoning in some ways , like letting go of our attachments to identities, or to our favourite clothes. Without realizing it, we walk around in life, attaching ourselves to identities or roles (mom, doctor, yogi, vegan, etc) and that we allow them to define us. this is often where we get in trouble. What happens if we allow our external environments to impact our belief about who we are? for instance , let’s say you let your job title define you, otherwise you deeply identify together with your romantic relationship, then you get fired or your spouse dumps you. You then also lose your sense of self. you're then liable for your own pain and sadness. This Yama is about releasing attachment to people , to substances, to the will to realize success as sort of validation from others. As we cultivate a way of simplicity in our lives, we start to honor ourselves on a way deeper level. Taking It beat The Yamas are our basic restraints. Read them, and skim them again. Soak it up and let it sink in. These points are something to review and live by throughout a whole lifetime. Revisit them however often you would like to and begin applying these principles to your life, and the way you show up within the world. Marty’s concern for her in both of the scenes they share together in the promo really got my Muffy loving self-thriving, even though it did mean something not good was going on for Buffy. Glad he’s there to make sure she doesn’t totally mess herself up ;w;

On top of that this episode they specifically mention that Marty’s been running a lot of long distance lately, meaning it was something different compared to when they did talk meaning Buffy isn’t normally a long distance runner so… Buffy I know I can’t change what’s gonna happen at this point but why you competitive competitive child LKSJDALDJ

Is episode 14 also the episode where Rachel’s supposed to come in? Or is it possible it got moved around due to the whole editting necessities? Actually, that would probably stay wherever it is since it would both fill more time and not have anything to do with you know who anyway so. Maybe she sees his concern for her or something like that. Also does Rachel run in the marathon with them, since this episode also sort of teased that Marty and his girlfriend might both run long distance? Idk I really want to know where and how Rachel plays into all of this…

I just want Muffy to be happy man, whether it be strictly platonically or romantically or whatever because their dynamic is definitely one of my favs and have I meNTIONED HOW HAPPY I AM THAT THEY’RE BACK??? I have no clue the extent of their scenes when the show returns but no matter what it is I’m happy we’re finally getting more scenes with them again.

And same at last episode wrecking me ohhhh my god nothing went right and I LOVED every minute of it. It was really well done in my opinion, you could feel the PAIN. Except for the fact that we have a hiatus afterwards that is so painful dear gods. But I’m a sucker for angst with a happy ending, and the buildup of so much bad things going on just piling up on one another means that there’s going to be quite some satisfying euphoria inducing events to fix them all hopefully pretty soon and in probably(?) a fairly clustered amount of time so I’m HERE FOR IT. The best feeling of hope comes after the most despair after all. It’s a cycle, now it’s just extreme suffering until the tidal wave of relief comes.

I’ve mentioned it before but do hate that there’s practically no way the Tyrus angst will be solved next episode though since TJ’s not in it ;-; and that there’s no way to tell how much it gets brought up next episode. I feel like it’s even more monumental than the gun fiasco in terms of the way it’ll effect both TJ and Cyrus, so knowing it’s getting drawn out better mean it at least gets mentioned next episode, because let’s be real even though a gun is technically a bigger issue this is SPECIFICALLY emotionally driven conflict and as a middleschooler that’s going to eat away at them more than fighting over something that doesn’t necessarily have something to do with their actual relationship if that makes sense. Hey, maybe after looking at relationship issues of Buffy and Andi in the past they finally look at a relationship issue with Cyrus not pertaining to the GHC, but considering there’s already Bexie wedding drama filling Andi’s mind I doubt it ;-;

Hey Steph :) I've been discussing the idea of Johnlock with my dad, and while he's not homophobic, he's very strongly against it and believes Sherlock is in love with Irene (???). His only arguments are along the lines of "they're not gay because it's never said", and he thinks I'm making "false accusations", etc. So basically I need a little help writing a convincing argument. Mainly to explain to him why we think he's gay. (He can be convinced but he needs the undeniable facts.)

Sorry you have to deal with that, and honestly sometimes it’s best to just drop the issue to prevent arguments in the family, but many people can have empathy for seeing things your way with the right discussion points. I can understand how your dad sees Sherlock as attracted to Irene, but I assure you Sherlock was not at all interested in her at all aside from “playing the game”. 

It’s absolutely heteronormativity that makes people blind to the glaring obvious, and sometimes people just need to the stuff written down about it.

           Rey didn’t think Leia had noticed. Sure,she had her tells, but certainly Leia didn’t know her well enough to recognizewhat the little secretive smiles meant, or the late nights spent walking theship, or the way her mind continuously floated off to another planet, as thoughshe was lost in a daydream. She had tried to keep it all under control.

         But Leia had noticed.

         That’s why, one evening, after alengthy meeting in the chambers, Leia had kept a close eye on Rey. She wantedto make sure the young girl didn’t leave before she had her chance to speakwith her. After all the years she had spent longing for her son, any matterwhich directly pertained to him immediately became her number one priority. Leiarecognized that. She had been rebuked by her husband and her brother for thishabit of hers, but their worried advice to “just let it go” fell on deaf ears. Shecould not just let it go, and she never would.

         Once the chambers had, for the mostpart, cleared, Leia saw her opportunity and swooped in. The long, airy sleevesof her forest green gown trailed behind her.

         “Rey, might I have a word?”

         The former scavenger paused halfwaythrough turning towards the doors and fixed Leia with a stunned but glowingexpression, which slowly blossomed into a graceful smile. Rey had a veryspecial quality that many people didn’t: with just one look she was able tomake anyone like her. And clearly, that really did mean anyone.

         “What can I do for you, General?” Reyasked politely, practically skipping to Leia’s side with curiosity.

         Leia gave her a warm smile. She hadlong ago sensed that, although the girl was scrappy and fierce, she had a verystrong flight instinct, learned from years stealing and scavenging in Jakku,amongst the dregs of society. Any sense of danger was not to be taken lightly.So, trained in this type of scenario, the General played it very careful so asnot to make Rey panic.

         “There is a…separate matter that I did not wish to discuss in front ofeveryone, but which I feel I can bring to you,” Leia spoke in hushed tones.

         Rey’s ears perked up. Her face shiftedinto seriousness.

         “Of course, anything,” she promised.

         “I still want my son back. Everyonehas told me he is a lost cause, but I know—I just know that isn’t true,”

         Rey’s eyes widened. “You’re right, it’snot!” Her voice was a whisper, and colour flared in her cheeks. Had she saidtoo much already?

         “Without Snoke in the picture, I feelit will be easier to cleave him from this path he’s chosen; to set him right,”Leia continued earnestly. “I know you’re my only hope to accomplish this task.”

         Rey’s eyes narrowed just slightly. Ifshe didn’t have reason to be concerned before, she did now. But there was no obvioussign of anxiety in those soft eyes yet.

         “Why’s that?” she asked slowly.

         A beat of silence. The two women justlooked at one another, trying to figure out how much the other knew.Eventually, Leia smiled and relaxed her shoulders. Rey’s lips were beginning totwitch – the sign of nervous teeth, looking for something to nip at.

         “How is my son, Rey?” Leia asked,quiet as the night. “Do you talk about that sort of thing, when you see him?”

         There it was. She could see Rey’sheart drop into her stomach. But the girl was tough. She steeled herself, stoodher ground, and kept her panic from showing on her face too much.

         “I-I’m not sure what you mean,” Reyreplied hoarsely.

         “But you must! You were just talking tohim last night, weren’t you?”

         Rey blanched. “I…I wasn’t—”

         “Dear, it’s alright,” Leia put acomforting hand on Rey’s shoulder. “I’m not mad at you for not telling anyone;in fact, I can see why you didn’t. There’s a large number of people around herewho would be all too willing to attack you as a spy if they found out you had asecret link to my son.”

         Rey’s mouth hung open but no wordscame out. She didn’t move an inch.

         “I certainly won’t tell anyone,” Leiapromised. “I just wanted you to know that…well, that I know.”

         Rey blinked, slowly coming out of hertrance. “B-but…how…? How did you figure it out? I’ve been so careful…”

         “You have! You really have! Anyoneelse wouldn’t have figured it out. But I know my son, and I know the Force, andI saw the way you had changed when you came back to us on Crait. I already knewyou saw Ben; you were with him when Snoke died. But I saw something differentin you, after. You seemed just a little more distant, a little more distractedthan before. Just the little things. But I noticed them.”

         Rey still looked confused. Leiaushered her over to a couple of chairs and they took a seat, their heads bentclose together.

         “You and Ben are both incrediblystrong with the Force; so much so that you’re equals. Do you know the Forcerecognized this before you were even born? Before my Ben was barely five yearsold?          Rey nodded stiffly.

         “Now, ‘soulmates’ doesn’t necessarily mean romantic. It could justmean two people who are destined to play a major role in each other’s lives,whether that’s as friends, allies, or maybe even enemies. I think that’s forthe two of you to figure out on your own, when it wants you to. However, if it were to be romantic between you and myson, well…I’d be okay with that. But I don’t expect you to tell me that. Imean, one secret is enough for a day, and I don’t want you to feel like I’mpressuring you or—”

         “You’re not,” Rey interrupted Leia’s ramblingwith a firm headshake. She blinked, still adjusting to this new deluge ofinformation that she had not been expecting in the least.

         “Pressuring me, I mean. You’re not.”Rey clarified awkwardly. “I should have told you. Maker, it’s your son, forcrying out loud! If anyone needs to be told this stuff, it’s you. I shouldn’thave kept any of this from you. That was wrong of me, and I’m sorry.”

         “It’s okay,” Leia whispered.

         “As for it not being romantic…” Rey’svoice trailed off and for a moment Leia wondered if she wasn’t slipping intoanother ‘daydream’. But the girl recovered after fumbling words about in herhead for a minute, testing how they tasted on her tongue.

         “It is,” she said, so quietly Leia hadto strain her ears to hear her. “I don’t know why, or how, but, it is. I wantto save him, Leia, and I know I can.”

         “Oh, Rey…” Tears sprang to Leia’seyes. This girl, this former scavenger from Jakku, was her very own beacon ofhope. The very person she had been looking for. The other part of the prophecywhich had foretold her son’s fall to the Dark Side:

         Darknessrises, and light to meet it. As his strength in the Dark Side grows, so toodoes that of his equal in the Light…

         Leia shivered.

         “I think I love him,” Rey saidthickly. Her nervousness showed in her downcast eyes and busy fingers. “I hopethat’s okay.”

         Leia couldn’t help the laughter thatbubbled up from her chest. She hadn’t felt this happy, nor this hopeful, in avery long time.

         “Yes,” she chuckled, embracing Reytightly, so very thankful for the girl’s presence in her life. The answer toall of her prayers. The daughter she had been waiting for.

         “That is perfectly okay with me.”

Miyo’s Anime of Various Notes 2017 Edition

This year was a good year for anime. I liked a lot of shows this year and I thought I would write up another one of these! Again, they're in no order really!

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Dragon Maid

Dragon Maid as a series has definite problems. There's some kind of gross fan service and some really unhealthy feeling fetish stuff, especially from what I've heard and seen from manga snippets. However, despite all that, Kyoani was able to polish this show up into a nice little story about a dragon and her love for the woman who saved her life..and drank with her a lot out in the boonies one night. It's a really nice story though of a lonely person slowly getting a new lease on life with new friends who happen to be dragons. There's lots of good little character moments and it's nice that all of the characters grow as time go on really, even when one just plays MMOs all day and writes curse doujinshi. Also I can't listen to the opening theme without getting butterflies in my stomach from cute lovey doveyness.

Girls' Last Tour Girls' Last Tour takes place in the shell of a world that is on its last legs. There are crumbling buildings, technology long since in use and even the occasional grave site. Really, the world itself is kind of bleak, but the story of Chito and Yuuri is not an overtly sad one. It's the story of how as long as you have each other, you've got all you need in life. Seriously though, there are some good heart warming moments in here. The girl's have weirdly cute wide Hidamari Sketch style heads against the bleak background but it works really well. It has some really nice music too:  the rain drops song in patricular is super duper chill and is just a joy to listen to.

Recovery of an MMO Junkie It's nice to see an anime about people my age, that might be why this one interested me at first. On top of that though, it's a show where one can find a lot of familiar stories, especially if you've touched an MMO at any point in time. First and foremost though, Recovery of an MMO Junkie is a story about relationships though and how helpful they can be. These don't pertain to just romantic ones of course. Friends are super helpful when you're having a bad time, and as the show goes on, you can see just how much the friends Moriko is making along the way mean to her. It's a cute little story with some very cute moments and character designs. Morimori-chan is one of my favorite characters this year and I support her in every way. Sakurai is also a very good boy of course.

Love Live Sunshine Season 2 Last year I had season 1 on my list and the trend continued this year. The girls in Aqours just seem so much more realistic in their struggles than Muse ever did in the original show. They don't always get what they want; life does not just throw out miracles like Chika wants it to. But they don't let it stop them, and the girls keep going because, to quote the opening "we got dream." Seriously though, I am consistently pleased with this show and it helps that my favorite girl got her own episode early on. Also the studio has FINALLY figured out how to make the CGI look good compared to the previous series' attempts. Good music, good girls, good show. It still has 2 more eps but I'm confident with placing it here in my shows of the year of note.

Little Witch Academia Little Witch Academia has been bouncing around through various OVAs for the past couple years, so it was nice to finally get to see this show...be an actual show. It has a few ups and downs, which mainly are wishing a few characters got more screen time, and one specifically LESS screen time, but it's a very nice show. It's got a fun doofy protagonist who is doing her best even though she is terrible at magic. It has a haughty rival, even though only Akko sees her as on the same level, a cute nerd pal who reads anime Twilight and a mushroom obsessed creepo who got vored by a slime monster. I really do not know what else you need me to say. It's by Trigger so it's beautiful to watch? It has a Moomin reference? You can see the dumb guy from Pawn Stars but anime? It's a really good show. Real good.

Restaurant to Another World This show is a guilty pleasure honestly. It's fun to see the weird fantasy creatures ordering, mostly Japanese, cuisine in an interplanetary restaurant, yes. The main draw though is seeing the wonderfully animated and drawn food though. Every week watching this just made me hungry and it was hard not to drool a lot of the time. The characters are all really fun, even if they're essentially all interspersed between episodes. Almost all of them get their own little spotlight episodes in conjunction with their favorite particular dish. Most of all, I'll never forget Restaurant to Another World for giving me so many furry vore retweets from a random image I got from an episode. It's a fun show you can watch in the background and just admire the tastiness. Just, you know, maybe eat dinner first.

Interviews with Monster Girls Interviews with Monster Girls is not Monster Musume, that's the thing I can stress the most about this. It's about a world where there are just...monster girls! Join our way-too-into-them sensei as he...tries to honestly just learn about the differences between the folklore surrounding various monsters and how it ties into how they actually live in society. Also root on for a succubus as she tries to just let her mature woman side fly. It's very rough being a succubus in a super packed society did you know? Seriously though, it's a nice little show that oddly has more continuity than you'd think since it's not just an episodic 4koma style show. It's also got a dumb vampire with a shirt that has a cape design on the back, it's great.

Kira Kira Precure a la Mode This was the first Precure I've watched as it was on-going so it's been a fun ride. It has a bunch of magical girls who are also animals but ALSO are desserts. It also has some of most fun looking CGI I've seen in anime before, but that seems to be what Precures are good at so it's not that surprising for series veteran watchers I'm sure. Either way, it's a good story about friends and fairies and sweets. It's made me want to bake dumb anime cookies for an upcoming con and fill them with kira*kiraru. It has a really fun ending theme too...well both of them really. I'll look forward to see what the Precures are up to next in the coming series, but I'll never forget these girls.

Umaruchan R I liked the original Umaru season well enough, but the second season has really been going all in on the fun. On top of that, a lot of the characters have gotten more screen time and more character development even. We learn more about Sylphin, Kirie and Ebina, and  Umaru and Taihei's sibling relationship is shown to be a lot nicer too. It's not like before where she was always just a terrible brat trash girl, now she's just that SOME of the time. You can tell they really love each other though, and not in a gross way that other anime like to do with siblings. Also it's shown just how being friends has helped the other girls, and even Umaru herself really. It's a good show and I'm glad that it managed to get better on its second at bat.

Big Gold Star Show

Kemono Friends Kemono Friends is...well It's not really a good show. It has a hilariously low budget and even worse CGI. It's a lot like a picture drawn by your 5 year old where it's not fine tuned yet but it makes you feel kind of good anyway. It has some really cute character designs of this bunch of doofy animals that are just living their lives. Whether it's going to battle every day against their long time rival, wandering ruins looking for coins or just singing to their hearts content, there is something about the Friends that just makes you root for them. It's not a show you need to watch, but you might just like it if you do. Sugoooooi~

Old Anime of the Year

These are shows that I watched that didn't necessarily come out this year but that's when I watched them. It's pretty simple!

Osomatsu-san Sheeeh! I watched this one on the recommendation of a buddy. A remake of a series from the 1960's about sextuplet brothers modernized into terrible dirtbag NEETs. This show is full of weird, often gross, things, but there's something about its manic humor that just speaks to me. The brothers are terrible terrible terrrrrible boys but you can find good points about them too. I've been watching season 2 as well this season so this will probably carry over into next year as an old anime of the year. Sooo...let's just say Osomatsu-san is an Old Anime of the Year 2016-2018. Ok? Cool!

Yuri on Ice I had this on last year's list of shows to look into and I'm very glad I continued it. It tells a really good story about gaining confidence and learning to feel good about yourself. Yuuri's journey along the way is wonderful. Because of that, this is another series I'm looking forward to the second season of to see where it goes. My only complaint was that it was a little repetitive but that's probably how sports anime go huh? I liked watching the routines and listening to the songs. It also has a great cast of side characters like Chris with the great butt, the weird vampire guy and Phichit, your best friend. There's also J.J. who is full of himself, sure, but there's just something fun about him still. Here's to more ice boys!

Konosuba Konosuba is a series full of lovable dummies. Like...execeptionally dumb. Like..super..SUPER dumb. But that's really what's so fun about them. I had some Ah! My Goddess vibes with the series' set up except Aqua is a much much much more flawed goddess than Belldandy ever was. Seriously though, this series takes the isekai/reborn in another world from our world genre and takes it in a direction that's actually fun instead of retreading the same old stories. It's got explosion mages, it's got really awkward paladins and it has a very put on dullahan who just wants to have his evil schemes go the way he planned. I need to watch season 2 still, and if it's more of the same, I'm in for sure.

Heart Catch Precure This show was actually my first Precure several years ago, but my buddy and I didn't finish it before. Since we had been watching the new show, we decided to double up and watch both of them at the same time. Heart Catch is honestly a delight and has some of the things I like most in a magical girl show. It has fun heroes, it has really doofy villains and it has a whole lot of heart. It's episodic sure, but it has a really great art style that just makes it even more endearing to me. Also, episodic magical girls with dumb monsters is why I loved the original Sailor Moon anime. I also enjoy that the Precures just punch and dropkick things as their first course of action. You just can't step to a magical girl that's gonna just pop you in the jaw.

Ugh show?

Gabriel Drop Out I don't know whether to call this show an UGH show or just an ultimately lame one. I know it definitely is a 1 or 1.5 character show though. The best character is sweet dumb demon Satania who the show seems completely content to just dump on whenever it has the chance. I do not appreciate that anime. I don't at all. Please do not bully this sweet evil girl because she does not deserve it. This show was not as heinous as last year's Kuma Miko, but one of the characters is for sure a bad bad ugh one.

Anime to Check Out

I have a few shows I've had on my list to look at, mostly on my Crunchy Roll queue that I haven't gotten on due to a crazy good Fall season/laziness. Here they are!

Alice to Zoroku I watched the first episode of this back in the summer and I didn't take the time to finish it up. I plan to fix that in the coming year since I like the premise and I really liked the old man especially. I look forward to learning more about them in the future!

The Ancient Magus' Bride This one I've mostly seen interesting looking pics of so I'm curious. I like cool skeleton wizard looking things and anime. This seems reasonable enough to me.

One Punch Man This is still happening right? Yea, definitely gonna watch that.
