Characters that were, or never were.

((Hello! This is a list of characters I have actually played on or off the site (like Discord), wanted to or considered quite strongly but never followed suit to do so or whatever.))

((It will all be under read more; this is a long post! If you are interested? Have fun discovering who was in any corner of my repertoire! The list should not be that extensive! I will reblog it if I added anyone new I could recall and forgot to initially should that happen. These are mostly in some form of chronological order with added notes about what their place is with me and more.))

Yu Narukami - (Persona 4)

Additional note: (Have to biasedly put him first at the top and say how he was my true first muse here, lasted literal years. All my experience comes from him and his blog. He reached nearly 1k followers between both regular and not safe blogs, my true labor of love lost to me deciding to deactivate the blog. Some know me from him originally! You all know who you are!))

Sal (or “Syake”/”Syake-san”) - (Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea)

Additional note: (My first attempt at a second character and his blog did kinda work for a while, getting a lot of interactions during the original Funamusea craze back in the day. First time playing a truly well evil character and learned lots. His blog eventually died down and faded, but it was an experience I haven’t forgotten.)

Nepgear - (Hyperdimension Neptunia)

Additional note: (A standalone blog attempt again, flopped hard due to how the fandom seemed to have it’s problems on the RP side as well as my own personal reservations (met some couple of awesome people there still around me today though!). One of the most ways to trash a character by a series that had a bit of an identity crisis in the writing department as the years went on. Still not over how hard they literally screwed this good girl over. Every single time.)

Iku Nagae - (Touhou Project)

Additional note: (Part of an incredibly failed multimuse project (that Nepgear was the face of and part of as well for that matter after her blog flopped) and she never got to really experience light of day. I had only the idea of how I wished to portray the character and I still do, but at the same time, I have no idea if it would have earned me the most interactions, admittedly. All due to how passive she is.)

Varus - (League of Legends)

Additional note: (Me having a thing for characters with tragic stories of loss? Are doomed as if fittingly to pay for their sins and as a cost for the tools to live and revenge? He spoke to me way before Ragna. I knew how I wanted to write him, give him flair given his character, which other Champions I wished for him to interact with soon... I had a much clearer idea. But ultimately, also part of the doomed multimuse blog that never took off.)

Goomy - (Pokémon)

Additional note: (No gijinka, only small, sticky bby that I debatably would never allow to evolve and, of course, could talk. Best Dragon type line to ever exist don’t even @ me okay. It’s just... cute. The anime really made it stick out and I loved it. I always also have loved essentially weaker characters and creatures a lot, thus... It resonated with me greatly and idea of how I was going to go about him (yes, had decided on male for it). Again, multimuse failed, so he went away with it.)

Karol Capel - (Tales of Vesperia)

Additional note: (Weak that could be truly strong when overcoming his fears, and that resonated with me given how I consider myself a coward in real life. I also have a thing also for playing characters everyone finds annoying to make them look better when they should not be as disliked too. And once more, multimuse, gone with it, never found a place to remotely discover if I would have also wanted to play him at large either too.)

Elphelt Valentine - (Guilty Gear)

Additional note: (I don’t need to say anything, most of you knew her enough! Blog flopped hard and I couldn’t find the activity I desired. Why I played her? Just... bubbly sweet girl that didn’t want to act on her capability to be deadly as a Gear and only wished for happiness, I liked all that sugar with that depth I tried to give her. As of recent times, Tumblr locked me out and I could not log back in. I sort of took it as a message as to why I maybe shouldn’t try with secondary blogs to a big degree.)

The Masochistic Admiral/Commander/Master(?)/Doctor(?) - (Kantai Collection-Azur Lane (Maybe even Fate and Arknights???) )

Additional note: (So this is a nameless original Admiral/Commander character by the artist known as “Yamamoto Arifred” (look up on danbooru tags under Kantai Collection alongside). I absolutely fell in love with this guy. How I wish it was possible to play him further then I did, I revisit the art work every so often and every day I recall why I liked him so, so much. He’s just beyond amusing, wacky, outright insane and nonsensical in many good shapes and forms. But he only wants one thing: All under him to succeed and become the best they can be under his very questionable yet effective command. I could go on and on but this is already long enough. Standalone blog, flopped due to lack of activity.)

Thief (”Touzoku”) Arthur - (Million Arthur series)

Additional note: (Super unknown series, super unknown plot, I only met all the characters via the available and uncared for fighting game... And her backstory plus design gave me so many ideas I wanted to play around with as a thief wielding a goddamn Excalibur. Of the first characters I said I wanted to play on impulse alone, but who would have cared? Where could she have fit? It was the bigger discouraging thoughts. I have some icons still... But as always, the hesitation from impulse in itself.)

Hassan of the Serenity - (Fate Prototype/Fragments - Grand Order)

Additional note: (Best Assassin, best girl, only Servant that has brought me to tears in this extensive series, for the love of anything holy let her be happy I swear to God, everything about her cuts me so deep, I can’t deal with it every time I think about it ...I’m calm. But really. She touched me so, so deep. I was normally indifferent for so many years about Fate until I stumbled upon the Prototype duology, and subsequently, the Fragments side. After learning her origins and more, her wishes... I can’t state it enough. I am passionate about this girl. She deserves the world. And I would have loved to give her the best if I got to write her.)

Peri - (Fire Emblem Fates - Heroes)

Additional note: (What everyone sees as an annoying, questionable character and way more, I see as yet another pick for me with great potential to try and develop to be liked more by many, for she is not completely disposeable. I had ideas and wanted to take her further while still having her not lose the tendencies she has, because that would be breaking and disregarding character, but sadly, Peri never as much as left my constant thoughts then trying to privately sample around for myself, would have loved to, though. Very.)

Sigurd - (Fate Grand Order)

Additional note: (Amazing design, amazing voice... Literal definition of: “Do it for her”, loves his partner despite their fate... Incredibly underrated man. He is simply the best and I was interested in finding footing to play him, as he deserves to be noticed more for just being... Simply amazing. There is not much more to say than that, he is cool and that is final. Don’t even fight me on these cold, hard facts.)

i started roleplaying : i was like. thirteen. types of rps i enjoy : all kinds ! however , i don’t prefer novella groups. i like groups where i can explore family dynamics , as i’m a sucker for those.

HOW STRICTLY DO YOU FOLLOW CANON?

I try my best to follow canon as best as possible. I do put in my own twists here and there. I have added things into his character have been shared later on through Tweets on Twitter from Jro and Milne. I take their portrayals and incorporate them into my Tarn. For example, Milne said that Tarn was Pharma’s new lover and they had a special relationship and since I’m weak for that pairing I really wanted to incorporate that in. Also Red doesn’t help we both feed into each other ilu <3 ALL IN ALL though, I do like to keep him canon and not too much off character to where he isn’t Tarn anymore. I want him to be Tarn not someone else

SELL YOUR MUSE! (aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutual.)

I could sell Tarn for hours and a few friends know this very personally. IM SORRY. ANYWAYS. Some may find what I love about Tarn to not what they like but it’s my opinion on him! So here goes.

I love his damaged nature (I’m sorry Tarn muse). I find his addictions interesting, even though they weren’t technically shown in the issues. It’s part of who he is from who he used to be (however they came about). I will always love his flaws and I enjoy showing those sides of him so be aware that I will show his addictive personality (through Transformation, Nuke abuse, and murderous tendencies).

Which brings me to... His murderous/torturous nature. We see killers a dime a dozen in the series but to be a leader of a torturous group? Like that’s pretty rad and completely different from a lot of other characters. Can you tell I like the baddies? sdifhoisdf This brings up this ONE side of him. He doesn’t like killing / taking part in the demises of SOME of their victims. Why? I think I may know the answer to that. Why does a mech like him want to advert his gaze while the others have their way with them. Talk about something deep we never got to understand that.

He has a soft spot for musical pieces, especially classical piano music. I love Chopin the most, so you’ll see me post that all the time!

He apparently loves pineapples and just I LOVE THAT SO MUCH UHG.

He’s a big tank with Daddy (Megatron) Issues! You gotta love it LOL He’s got biolights literally everywhere. FLASHY

When he’s only around his team, he can be a little bit more calm even though he can drop it at the drop of a dime.

He’s a touch starved mech odifhsodif

NOW THE OPPOSITE! (list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?)

Even though I kinda sold him on this I thought I should mention it here too. I don’t think people find him interesting for how dark he is as a mech. Push aside everything and look at how purely evil he can be. He’s cruel. He’s torturous and very sadistic. He will thrive off of every little bit of pain you give him. He can be manipulative at times.

Tarn is a huge hypocrite. It shows so much throughout the comic issues if you really look at it. I show it a lot (he will deny it sometimes but don’t worry I know he’s one) Probably one of the biggest hypocrites in the whole 2005 IDW Series.

Tarn is easily-influenced and persuaded by certain situations (to not look weak) and mechs.

He is very easily angered from the smallest things.

He holds onto grudges

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE?

I know I’ve been asked this before and when I’m asked again I forget the GOOD reasons why I was so inspired to write him so I hope i do okay this time around. Even though I know I will leave out the good shit. Idk why I just dont draft on what truly inspired me. Just watch, itll come a day later and I’ll add it in just wait and see

I started rp’ing him on here as soon as he debuted in the MTMTE series (i think it was back in 2013 or 2012?) I did kind of poof for a few years due to being so busy sdiufhs. Anyways, I fell instantly in love with his character. I loved his dark ways and how he was so drastically different of a villain. His musical tendencies. And how he could offline a mech with ONLY his voice? Like damn sing to me all day you Musical Angel. He is dark and mysterious. NOT TO MENTION, black and purple my favorite colors.

His design was flawless and MTMTE #7 sold me on who he was and from then on I just couldn’t stop loving this murderous tank. I love how Jro and Milne have come out later on to answer more questions about him and just I love him that much more. Looking back years later on it, I see a little bit of myself in him.

WHAT KEEPS YOUR INSPIRATION

He’s pretty easy to flow out honestly. Just like my other muse I have. If he does struggle some, I just pop on some Chopin and he’s good to go. What really does keep me going more than anything is continuously exploring who he is as a mech and as a Decepticon. I want to know so much about him literally everything. Even though I could write headcanons all day and drabbles too, I love making him interact with others to find that personality. It’s really just my never-ending curiosity for him.

DO YOU ACCEPT CRITICISM WELL ABOUT YOUR PORTRAYAL?

Only if its constructive criticism. I love it when friends bounce ideas or talk to me about him. I will take into consideration of changing him slightly from only my close friends and that’s because we’re close. I will not change my character for anyone because they don’t like how I portray him because he is my portrayal of him, not yours.

DO YOU LIKE QUESTIONS, WHICH HELP YOU EXPLORE YOUR CHARACTER?

I love all the questions you all send him, either on anon or not. Even the most awful ones! Tarn may not like them but most I find absolutely hilarious. I think the more personal questions really help for exploring who he is or if I post drabble prompts, go ahead and send me one! Even if I dont send in one and you wanna know more about him I will try my best to respond to it.

IF SOMEONE DISAGREES TO A HEADCANON OF YOURS, DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY?

This is a hit or miss question. I don’t really want to exactly know why unless if I ask you personally on it (which is usually just between close friends because sometimes I just aint thinkin straight). I don’t mind bouncing off ideas but ishdfoisdfh i really truly don’t know the answer to this one

IF SOMEONE REALLY HATES YOUR CHARACTER, HOW DO YOU TAKE IT?

I honestly don’t care. People won’t like every character out there and that’s just part of being human. I understand why people would hate his character in the series in all honesty. But I love him for all his flaws.

Every Eusine ship rated!

I’ve done this over on my main account @/pkmnsdarkqueen, and I think it’s kinda fun. It’s every ship on the muse from this page rated by my personal opinions. For this account I’ve been slowly working on it since January, and since this is a multimuse it took this long. I hope ya’ll enjoy!

Took out category of Eusine and a protagonist/rival/or companion since they’re all children so it’s a hard no. A few other younger characters fit in the other categories though they’ve been judged no as well for the most part. Some shipped but ONLY in the context of the character being grown up.

About the Mun

Like to be Called: I usually go by nicknames rather than my real name for most of the time. I have quite a few cause I’ve played a lot of different characters in my time. Dexie or Dex is one I’ve had for years now, but I also go by Bella/Bells, Alia(from a different server) Ceryn(also, from a different server), Lian, Anne or ducky(cause, well...I have webbed toes. >.>)

Gender: Female.

One thing you should know about me: I am a single mom of a low functioning autistic son and I have recently learned that I am an empath as well. So when there are changes to my son’s schedule or changes in general it will severly affect him and therefore affect me quite a lot as well. So during these times I will start to feel exhausted and rather overwhelmed. This is part of the reason I have been a bit absent of late, but when it does happen you can generally catch me on here or discord, and I really don’t mind giving that out either so just ask if you want it.

One thing you should know about my characters: I have a ton of them. Like...A lot of them, and there are times that I can’t really feel them. Like right now I can’t really play Balah cause she’s just a bit too weird. I’ll still answer asks, just can’t really actively play her. But, I am trying to get into playing them atm. But yeah...be forewarned. There are a lot of listings coming up...

3. Which muse is the trickiest to get into character for?

Though I haven’t properly gotten to her yet (I’m taking this multimuse thing one muse by one, writing one new muse for a while before moving onto the next one so that they can settle), I’m going to place my bets on it being Cersei, just because she is quite unique in her mindset, perspective and approach, but that’s also exactly what I enjoy so much about her character, that she is vastly different. There are no other female characters currently quite like her. But because she is so different, there a very prominent level of complexity to her. So while I’m very much looking forward to attempting my hand at her, I know she’ll prove a challenge.

9. Why were you drawn to each one of your characters?

Initially, I’d thought I’d give an explanation for every single muse, but since that’d make a relatively long, though not always consistently so, list, I instead opted to elaborate only on a few of my favourites. All in all though, I don’t add muses lightly or easily; I need to feel passionate about them. I don’t need to be able to relate or identify to them by any means, but I need something that makes me feel very strongly about them, something that renders me passionate, something that I understand, can admire or think is exceptional, be that positively or negatively so (as some villainous characters can be incredibly interesting, after all). All of them tick that box for me, I can talk about them somewhere and I’ll soon find myself caught in a tangent or I’ll feel my eyes watering a little or I’ll find that warm feeling in my chest— something.

Oberyn Martell: This one was whispered in my ear by @wineinthewidow roughly two years and some change ago. He’s always been in the back of my mind ever since, and I’m glad he’s at the forefront of this multimuse of mine. I’ve realized I’m so weak for characters that have such a deep-rooted cause that stems from nothing but an intense sense of loyalty, exactly like Oberyn Martell’s for his sister, his niece and nephew. There’s something incredibly powerful about giving it all up if needed, everything, to be able to obtain justice. Beyond that, he’s progressive in ways that I wish this world was a whole, in all areas of the spectrum. His view of equality in every sense within life resonates very loudly and is incredibly inspiring, that no lines are drawn for anyone (even if it is easy for him to say this, considering his status). I live for his passion and utter devotion to his family, his House; I live for his passion in all his endeavours and I love his overall demeanour. I will write this guy for an incredibly long time to come, with a very happy heart.

Milady de Winter: A female character that I still think to this day, to be absolutely exemplary and I’m saddened that she’s not used as inspiration for other female characters more often. I’ve always been drawn to her (and I think BBC did a very interesting take on her as well) in the sense that she uses, what many believe to be a woman’s weaknesses, to her utmost advantage without demeaning and in that, shows how dominantly brilliant of strengths they actually, truly are, instead.

Francis II: My French heart beats very strongly for this one. And while that may come across as bizarre to French history-knowledgeable folk as my Francis is very Reign-based, instead of historical, but that’s exactly why I was so drawn to him. Because they remade him with incredibly strong French values. And with that, I mean French values that you will find within the hearts of many French among the country’s general population, opposed to what you found among the royals. Which is why he struck such a strong chord with me, it was why I was drawn right in and knew I wanted to write him two years ago. He doesn’t approach his rule like many French kings in history did. He was flawed, made his mistakes very clearly, but his principles were right, he understood what people deserved and had a right to. Francis, to me, personifies the patriotism of the French that I will always fail to find the words for explain to people. He understands, preaches and most importantly, practices equality and fraternity as is so important to us; commanding courage among the soldiers that pledged to fight for him by fighting beside them, putting himself on quite literal equal footing with everyone else when it mattered the most. There’s a lot of A Song of Ice and Fire muses on the horizon, more so than anything else. Current prospects include Jon Arryn, Petyr Baelish, Khal Drogo, Barristan Selmy and even possibly Melisandre; but I’m sure that list will only grow as I continue on in the books.

i’ve seriously hit milestones i never thought i would, especially for how my activity has been lately

first i want to toot my own horn and celebrate some follower milestones:

here on timeripe, i managed 61 followers (though i understand part of this is bc of my next blog)

i cannot express how much that means to me bc there are days where i can barely keep a conversation going let alone write a reply. thank you for all of your continued patience and the fact you still hit that follow button despite my shitposting and crying about the brain and everything else i do that isn’t RP related.

i’m more active on disco, but for right now i need to keep conversations at a minimum bc i’m getting overwhelmed what with the anxiety and school starting and the fact that september is right around the corner and that has historically been a Bad Time for me. but activity should pick up a little bit now that i’m dropping back down to 5hrs/day at work instead of 6. i’ll miss the money not the stress.

okay, now that i’ve found my mac screencap, i’m ready to explain myself a little bit further. i will get to those really nice & sweet messages in just one moment, but i’m gonna put this here just so we can talk this shit through. if you’re wondering what i’m referring to, lemme redirect you to this wonderful anon i just got.

let’s start off with the first bit : ‘ people like you ruin multimuses ’ is one of the most laughable things i have ever received in my ask. if you don’t like multi’s, that’s cool. if you think they’re cool, that’s cool too. people like ME usually run multi’s because we like a whole lotta characters & don’t want to give our love to just one. in my seven years of rp, i have never once had just one character. whether it was on rp or several, i had at least three at one time & everything was all fine & dandy. taking on the responsibility to be a multi, however, is hard. i want to use all of my muses. i do. but you know why i can’t do that? because no one wants to write with half of them. if there’s one that is so underused that you’d like to write with, TELL ME!!! tell me because i will be so thrilled that someone wants to write with someone like gretchen or dylan or lyla. i’m fine when people don’t want to write with them because the fandom’s aren’t that big & there are fandoms that often take over on this blog ( grey’s anatomy, gilmoe girls, riverdale, shameless, & others ) & that’s totally okay with me. it’s not that being a multi is ‘ ruining ’ shit for anyone. it’s fun to do & i’m glad to do it even though assholes like myself & anon’s beat me down. i am overly insecure in the way i play all of my characters. there has not been one day since i took on my first canon character six years ago that i sat down & said ‘ oh yeah, this sounds exactly like them ’ or anything of the sort. people say they love my muses & the way i write them & sometimes that sounds like a lie to me, but i’m glad that others like to interact with my shittiness. so saying ‘ you’re barely even good at writing your muses ’ doesn’t do shit to me anymore because i already know this lmao. like it’s plain & simple. i already know.

‘ & you have the nerve to be selective. ’ you know why i’m selective? because there are people do not respect me as a person or my blog or my muses. that’s it. do i favor some blogs over others? sure. yes, because if we talk out of character, that hypes me up. except that’s not the only reason. you want more than that? there are some people who don’t even bother to read the rules. not just my rules page ( which hey, just skim the first lines, how hard is that?? ) but also the rules on my starter calls. every single one of them says ‘ specify otherwise you will not get a starter ’ & for some reason people get pissed off when they don’t get a starter because they did not tell me which muse they wanted. how hard is that? you don’t have to reply to the post, you can literally send me an ask or an im & i’ll add it to the list of things i have to do. another way i’m selective is if we already have too many threads & i don’t have any more ideas for that particular pairing. if i did, then i’d post another starter. selectivity is necessary for me because things have gotten out of control on my end. i interact with a lot of people & a shit ton of muses. does this make me horrible? no, absolutely not. i don’t think being selective, semi-selective, mutual’s only, fandom only, or anything else is wrong because it’s what the mun is comfortable with. if you’re not comfortable with it, go find another blog to interact with. it’s fair to have whatever label you want on your blog -- what’s not fair is for shitty people to come in with that grey face & tell you why you’re shit for having a specific type of rp blog. but thankfully that opinion doesn’t mean shit to me because i respect everyone here.

as for reasons i don’t have muse / haven’t been here : i’m in the middle of freelance work ; i don’t have money to pay bills or to feed myself, my family, or my animals ; i don’t have muse because anon’s are bullying myself & others & it gets me down whenever i see it ; i don’t have muse because i just buried one of my grandfathers & today i saw my other one & his condition shocked me to the point where i had to go outside & calm myself down because i am not prepared to lose him too. i have my reasons why i’m either here all the time or i’m not here at all. i apologize if i did something to piss you off personally because honestly, i’m looking through my im’s & i haven’t had a bad interaction with any mun that i’m aware of. not to sound too full of myself, but i’m a nice person. i try to be anyway. i try to please people & not piss them off, but if something i did rubs you the wrong way then i am truly sorry. i don’t know what else to tell you. so i apologize that my multimuse is too much for you to handle or that my selectivity grinds your gears. whatever it is, i don’t have a lot of fucks to give right now. i’ve had a bad day & coming here & seeing that message pretty much tipped me over the edge.
