The first thing the princess notices upon entering the main hall are the plants. The once vibrant plants and flora that lined the walls, sat in planters, and hung from hooks on pillars now appeared limp — as if all the life had been sapped from them and is draining still. A few, here and there, seemed a little less affected but what did it matter? They were dying quickly and didn't look like they'd stop just because the princess willed them to…
Brown eyes drift from the plants to the rest of the hall. As the coordinator had told her, the air was thick with tension — the guards stationed along the walls and sprinkled in against some of the pillars having stepped away from their posts. Some had their hands on their weapons and some did not… but all of them were fixated on one section of the hall. They weren't the only ones with their eyes drawn to it, as she could see the heads of patrons looking both at the walls and towards the commotion — varying levels of confusion and concern etched into their faces…
…and the few that had spotted her entering with Ezra looked at her with that very same confusion, the underlying expectation that this is not how the festival should be. coming to rest heavily on her shoulders. The murmurs of side conversations had grown near silent… but she's sure they continued.
Rather than dwell on comments and criticisms that this incident is drawing, she focuses more on the quickly growing crowd they approach. She lifts a hand to the one placed on her shoulder with a little squeeze of her own, and she's quick to fall into step with Ezra as they draw closer. She stops when he does, eyes flicking from him to Tabbris to…
…Tahariel Elohim.
Her heart jumps into her throat when, not a moment later, the man lept into the air to cross the crowd — heading towards the center as she had been before they stopped. Her gaze follows him intently before it drops to the crowd that still lied ahead of her. They were still packed together, heads craned to get a better look at whatever altercation that's transpiring out of view…
— And then comes Allisae's shouts. She could make out some of the words and sentences yelled over the silence of the crowd. The sound of it — how angry it was, how it reverberated in the spacious hall, and bounced off of every surface. The dead plants that framed the hall shudder as new ones sprouted forth and grew larger than the ones before them, spilling out of the pots, planters, and vases that held them.
She could hear the worried whispers of the guests before — worried about the state of the party… but they would not move. All they did is crowd in to watch… and gawk…and whisper… and comment —
“For god's sake — I need you all to move!” she shouts, startling the invitees nearest her. When the turn to look, her brows furrow. “Do not just stand and stare at me! Did I stutter?”
“Move out. Of the way! If you are not going to be helpful, leave the hall. Now.”
— and with the weight of that order hanging heavy in the air… the crowd parts in a neat line, through which she passes through briskly. Most, as she walks past, begin to filter out as per her firm instruction.
She knows she will regret doing that later, if the tightness of her throat is anything to go by. However, right now she does not care.

Court Gossip & Rumours
because @desiderium-eden and @arcxnumvitae did this and I've been wanting to do one, too!
Tristan planned to sweet-home-Alabama all his sisters and do a weird "Emperor with many consorts" thing like his father did
Saya Miyahara is of pureblood Magieni descent, and that is why Charidynn picked her out of the gutters of a red light district. The only thing supporting this, however, is the crescent moon marking on her forehead. Though, many believe that it is also make-up.
Many believe that General Rylenn Yeun is actually Wrenn's father, due to the special kindness and patience he seems to favour Allisae and her children with. That, and at certain angles, Wrenn almost resembles Rylenn or appears to be of Saenmyan descent. Consequently, this has led to a conspiracy that the nobleman who was executed for having an affair with Allisae is all a ruse.
There are whispers of some or all of Avelan and Cecil's children actually being the Crown Prince of Ahnia's in some way, as they all dated when they were younger.
There is a small rumour that Chercia is actually Jai and Allisae's daughter, based solely from the whispers of maids and some court ladies who have seen them interact in the past. This is often shot down with "but Chercia is a b Lo nDe."
A few believe that the child Lilithaine lost at birth is actually still alive somewhere.
One rather old rumour is that Charidynn actually tried to wife up Rylenn's mother.
A lot of the servants say that Feryl is a distant bastard from somewhere in the imperial line. They also say that if he steps off the Aegis, he'll die.
Another dusty "rumour" is that Chercia is Allisae and Tahariel's, stemmed from their courting period and the fact that they were once set to be married.
Some say that Kaethryn Seira is of noble Namodian descent, which would mean that Edmund and Lilithain should have wings. But they don't.

“Get out of my way.”
The single phrase is enough to have most of his brothers bodies tensing under the power laden in his voice. It doesn’t seem to be intended, but with his current state of mind, his words had become divine commands. Forcing his brothers and the other angels that tried to stop him to try to reason with him, or even to grab him to keep him from leaving Heaven to instead fight their need to follow the command.
One by one though; even when though a few of them got close-- Jahariel and Zikiriel in particular-- they eventually aren’t able to resist anymore, and fall back. Tahariel’s wings flaring as he walked by them. Behind him, an almost choking cloud of haze building and following after him.
Tumblr media
“Taari, stop this! If you go to the Underworld now, you’ll start a war! The twins’ souls won’t be able to get through to the Mnemosyne!”
Tumblr media
“And if Allisae is there, your attacking might drive them to kill her, or worse! We don’t even know if it was Hades that told Pride to take her-- you heard what Belial said!”
Tumblr media
“Then what do you suggest that I do?! Sit back and hope that Pride brings her back? If that Dominion trash appears again, it’s going to be in the Underw--”
Tumblr media
“So what, Tahariel? You’re going to destroy the entire Underworld to get her back? Do you really think that Allisae would want that? You can’t be rash in this; we need to make some kind of plan!”
The god-king pauses for a moment, and gives a soft sigh. Looking almost regretful for a moment as he regards his brothers, before shaking his head.
Tumblr media
“She’s already hurt, and they’re running out of time-- Gaea is dying as well. By the time we came up with something, it would be over.”
And with that, dark-speckled wings spread, and he takes off in an instant. Haze and beams of light trailing in his wake.

Your presence is required.
December 15th, 2019
Within worlds that are already large and yet constantly expanding, it is impossible to survive alone. We must grow and cultivate our standings amongst each other.
In celebration of entering a new decade, leaders of significant families, factions, and hierachies across the realms have been invited to gather at The Realms' Decadal Peace Gala to engage with other like-minded parties and reconcile, ally, and familiarize groups new and old.
However, with the gathering of so many powerful beings, runes, protections, and seals will be placed to temporarily suspend any and all types of magic or otherworldly ability; individuals with such powers will be unable to utilize them upon entering the venue grounds. It is one of many precautions that will be taken in order to maintain a kind environment appropriate for fostering relationships.
Civility among all those in attendance is encouraged.
Avelan and Allisae Merlow, your presence as the children of Gaea and the new heads of the Merlow family is required. You are both allowed one additional guest each. Representatives in your place will not be accepted. We look forward to seeing you on the 15th of January.
                                                                  Sincerely,                                                                            Red & Blue
Allisae flipped over the letter, skeptically eyes searching for anything more. She finds nothing else and begins to run her thumb along the beige parchment. “When did you get this...?”
Avelan rubs his temple, tired. Sighing as he picks up the envelope that the letter had arrived in, turning it over in the light before looking over the seal. Silver and gold, stamped with a symbol that vaguely resembled spool of thread set ablaze. “Yesterday. Though it wouldn’t let me open the envelope without you.”
They both sigh deeply, both rubbing their temples now. Neither knew what to make of it. It reads like an invitation, but at the end they’re being summoned rather than invited anywhere. As though they had no choice...
Their eyes drift to the other’s wrist, looking over the number that had appeared atop their right hands the moment they both finished reading through the letter. 30. Underlined with a thin line of runes one would have to place under a glass in order to read properly.
Allisae knits her brows. “Tahariel received one as well...”
Tumblr media
“Was his the same?”
Tumblr media
She nods, setting the letter down finally, though she keeps her hand on it, fingers tracing the lines of dried ink. “Except his didn’t require his presence. And this magic I’m picking up from it--It’s so old...older than the Primordials.”

Psychic blast, his eyes closing shut as he hunched in on himself. Of their own volition, his wings spread around him, their ragged torn edges pitiful and black stained. Fingernails scratched at hidden skin, speckled by tainting sickness.
His brothers pain reached him through their mental thread, reaching across realms. Their pain was evident but Zakiel just pressed his hands over his ears as a fourth pair of wings slowly appeared.
The pain was easily recognizable, a changing of form that heralded their new selves. Zakiel remembered all too well how it felt to have his hariphirim wings, beautiful white gold, grey speckles spread like a haze.
But his wings were disgusting, forever damaged, no longer the glory of an angel’s highest regard. Their final beauty, as Jehvo had stated when Zakiel and Tahariel had reached their hariphirim forms.
The false god had forced Zakiel’s change, wanted to see just how far they would evolve. And tainted his son forever.
Tumblr media
He glanced up as the bell over the doorway jingled, his wings retracting quickly, a few ruined feathers sinking to the floor. “Be right with you.”

Start Anew (Recap)
Prior to the beginning:
Riliane took Charidynn’s Grimoire from Kapisola in an attempt to find a way to kill Charidynn. Exposure to it as well practicing the spell within it begin to affect her mind.
- Charidynn, who has sort of a mental link with his grimoire, finds out and begins to send out low tier demons to taunt the twins.
- Due to recent arguments and events, the twins have been divided. Problems with other family members and friend have risen as well.
What has happened thus far:
- Aside from dealing with issues within and outside the family, thanks to the demons that Charidynn send, Allisae begins to feel this sense of doom and expresses her concerns to Tahariel, only to draw away and reject help offered when she begins to panic about what her father might do to everyone once the heart inside Carreau fades. Jophiel later confronts her, they have an argument that ends with her warding the angel out of her house so that she could devise a plan to take care of her father alone.
- While Jophiel relays the urgent matter to friends and family---which causes more discourse among the circle of friends---Avelan is directly confronted with a the demon, Leican, about Charidynn’s grimoire and is told that his father would be visiting soon. He rushes to the house.
- JJ checks on Riliane and Wynn. He makes a plan with Wynn to try and take the grimoire away, but is warded from mansion before he is able to.
- Tahariel and Jophiel manage to convince Jehvo, the God of Heaven and their father, for permission to battle against Charidynn Merlow.
- Wynn attempts to convince Riliane to stop trying to go through the grimoire, but Riliane threatens him with a gun if he tries to “get in her way” of revenge, something she’s been wanting for over a century.
- As soon as Avelan meets Allisae at their home, Charidynn appears and tells them to retrieve his grimoire from their sister while implicating threats. All three get into a small, physical altercation that results in Charidynn losing a hand and Allisae having her earlobe damaged before Carreau pulls Charidynn back into hell.
- Afterwards, this inevitable sense of doom returns and Allisae drives herself into further panic, almost to the point of a panic attack. In Avelan’s attempt to calm her, she lashes out about a long-time frustration. Avelan realizes his mistakes, Allisae’s eyes are opened to the fact that she can’t and shouldn’t be alone to take on Charidynn, and the twins reconcile.
- Nero, angered about having learned the dire news about his family from a third party, confronts the twins and convinces them to ask for outside help. He brings to light the hurt they’ve caused in their attempt to isolate this problem to just the two of them.
- Together they figure out way to break the connection that Nero and the rest of the younger Merlow siblings have with Charidynn, which has been an obstacle that has stood in the way of Charidynn being properly dealt with.
- They form somewhat of a plan and separate to do their jobs. Allisae goes to talk to Hades about Carreau and Charidynn’s contract, Avelan stays behind to try and put together a spell to end Charidynn, and Nero goes around to gather aid from friends.
- Avelan tries to talk to his fiancé, Cecil Lancaster, first but ends up being rejected when he asks for help.
-  Allisae travels to Heaven to try apologize and ask Tahariel and Jophiel to come with her to face Hades, who she is afraid to confront alone because he raped her. But along with them, she is met with Jehvo. Jehvo taunts and terrorizes them before leaving with Yeheriel in concern of another matter. The angels and Allisae reconcile, but she is told that they are barred from leaving Heaven until the fight with Charidynn. She goes off to face Hades alone.
- After having spoken with his fiancé to ask for help and being rejected, Avelan is heartbroken and breaks down. He attempts to take Cecil out of his memory so that he could focus on his task, but remembers that centuries of removing memories from himself is what caused the disconnect between he and his sister to grow, and stops.
- Nero is met with hostility when he goes to his family’s friends for help and the stress of the whole situation begins to takes its toll on him. He finds relief in speaking with Lazuli Ashtrum, who offers her aid without hesitation. She also offers access to “The Vault”, a protected collection of supernatural weapons, texts, etc. so that Avelan could find what he needs to create the spell.
- Afterward informing Avelan of Lazuli’s offer, Nero is confronted with Yukaine, his nephew, who first found out about the happenings in his family thanks to the news spreading around in hell. Yukaine leaves in a panicked rage, Nero contacts Ber Berith to try and find him, and finally goes to talk with Riliane.
- Because of the guilt Hades has for what he has done to Allisae and the Merlows, he agrees easily to her demands. She barters away Charidynn’s grimoire, and in exchange the contract between Carreau and her father is nullified---which breaks the soul bound connection her siblings and any Merlow descendants have to Charidynn. The younger, current Merlow siblings are also given immortality as part of the deal.
- With the nullification of the contract, Carreau no longer has a hold on Charidynn’s soul, and thus he is freed to do as he pleases.

Ratiel's Backstory
@aprincess-and-herknight
@waywardlightbearer
@nptperfect-indadseyes
@samwessonsmith
Rahtiel was one of Gabriel's first charges. He abdicated from being a part of an archangel garrison to be part of the Raiders.
This group were the ones who did raids into the Fae's world to kill them and use their parts.
He and Morael were close, usually going on tag teaming missions.
He was a flirt, he didn't mind. There were so many angels who admired him, who wanted him. He had even been able to get the archangels to love him.
Then the Rebellion had come and he felt his world tilt on his axis. Morael had already left years prior what did he have left?
So he joined Lumiel's cause, he and Azazel hit off. He liked the kid, he was a bit naive in thinking the archangels would protect him. They only cared for themselves, they always did.
He had fallen and joined up with an angel named Jeliel. He was preaching a new way of life, a new home where the archangels were no more. This was their war why were they dying for them?
He had agreed wholeheartedly, spending the next couple hundred years recruiting for him.
Then the Purge had started and angels were forced to hide and flee. He had braved the world to save more angels.
It was then he had first met Anauel. She had been patching some angels up.
Tahariel had given him the ability to see twinflames. It appeared like a red string connecing angels. Hers was connected to Haniel, Cassiel's older son with Damiel. He remembered Damiel. He had always been one of the few angels who could keep him calm, to curb his worst impulses.
He had felt his essence shrink away he couldn't let her see him, she would tell Haniel. He knew the last thing Damiel would want is any of his sons caught up in this violence.
Then Azazel had tried to kill her, she was going to put a watcher out of their misery. So Azazel was still naive. He had turned away moving to help more angels find shelter.
When Azazel was locked away he waited, soon enough healers came to check on him. Of course only on him. By this point he would be so far gone into insanity he wouldn't know.
He slipped in after them, killing them and cutting the child out of him.
Azazel had protested weakily.
"I'll let you name him. Go ahead."
"K - Kokabiel. For Lumiel."
Rahtiel had nodded and left him there locking him back in.

Yori has spontaneously decided that this is a perfect time to decide to bug his guardian angel, so he’s just here grinning at Taha (he was bored) -fatestouch
@fatestouch
Tumblr media
"You really make me nervous when you give me that look, you know that? No, of course you do, that's probably why you do it."
Tahariel couldn't help but sigh at the fox. Brows upturned, as the two regarded each other-- obviously waiting for Yori to pull some stunt or another for the express purpose of messing with him. That's how it usually went, after all, and this time probably wouldn't be any different.
A tug (albeit a gentle one-- he doesn't want to hurt Yori, after all, just taunt him a little) is given to one of Yori's tails, before the angel speaks again.
"So? Are Yori and Teo busy with work today? Or do you just feel like being a menace?"

Untapped.
[ Avelan returns to the Aegis from the Blue Moon Celebrations at Meriburn ]
Swallowing was difficult when fear made your throat tight. And it worsened when the Emperor kept his gaze turned toward the window; the expression on his face remaining a frightening mystery to Avelan, although he was certain that his father was furious.
"...You had your sister right in front of you. You had Tahariel Elohim right in front of you. Yet you come home with neither of them."
Every syllable on its own was steeped in disappointment, every word a laceration that cut deep into Avelan's skin.
He hated feeling like a disappointment to him.
"Father, I couldn't just---"
"Pardon, your Majesty." Next to him Heiras gave a calm bow of his head. If the man was stricken with any fear at all, Avelan saw no sign of it. "Though your justice is warranted, inciting violence amongst the crowd at Meriburn would have had unfavorable consequences."
"I should be sending an entire fleet of ships to the Meriet shores."
"Meriburn no longer seems to be housing Princess Allisae nor the children, your Majesty. I heard they left the following morning, and I saw no trace of them when we prepared for our own journey home....However, Princess Chercia doesn't appear to be with them."
"...Chercia isn't with them? What about her knight?"
"I did not see any sign of Ser Hallewell either, my Emperor."
Charidynn's grip on his staff tigthened, the rings on his fingers settling into the imprints they carved into the metal. "If not Meriburn, then it's Ahnia---the scheming traitors."
"There is one more thing."
"And what is it?"
There was the twitch of a smile at Heiras' lips before he parted them to answer. "...Tahariel Elohim broke the seal."
"..."
Charidynn's silence was heavy, his silhouette eclipsing the setting sun and casting Avelan beneath his looming shadow, ringed fingers finding purchase of a book.
".......Have you seen it? The both of you?"
"Yes, your majesty." Answered Heiras, unfazed.
Tumblr media
"Y-yes..."
Tumblr media
"And?"
Tumblr media
"I don't believe anyone has ever seen anything like it since Auraelia. Or her son."
"And Tahariel has access to it. Untapped!?"
"He appears to be in control of it. In her rage, her magic was rampant across the entirety of the castle, yet it was only when Elohim intervened that her magic settled to a halt."
"F-father...I---"
Tumblr media
Avelan crumpled when the book struck him, broken glasses slipping from his ears and clattering to the floor. He held his eye, shrinking and shrinking in his pain as his father stepped close, until Avelan could his own distorted reflection in the shine of Charidynn's shoes.
"You had him in your grasp! You had your sister in. Your. Grasp. There is not a single reason why I shouldn't currently be making her watch as I mount his damned wings to the wall!"

Simni had nearly made it back to the garden, holding Lily close to her chest as she flew. Seeing as many guards wandering around as she did, she had to take a somewhat convoluted path back, but it was worth it if it meant not getting caught and interrogated.
...And it was even better, that she just so happened to run into the ones she was going to meet on the way.
Blue eyes narrowed, and her displeased expression was one that-- as she had been told before-- matched her parent's almost exactly. Why were they moving? Had someone found them? And who was the other woman with them? Judging by her outfit, she appeared to be someone from Tengmen, but why would they have her with them?
Letting the invisibility granted by the glamour fade as she touched down before the group, and gave Lily over to Allisae, she looked briefly toward her two siblings. Though Nesa appeared cool and calm as ever (even if she knew they were probably in quite a state internally), Zebi looked...worried, to say the least. He had himself positioned between Nesa and the unknown woman, and Tahariel and Allisae, as if he were trying to protect them.
Which meant that she was probably the reason why the group was now on the move. She must have discovered them in the garden-- though whether on purpose, or on accident, Simni couldn't tell.
Tumblr media
"...What about Wrenn and Qai? They haven't come back, yet? You're not planning on leaving without them, are you? And who is this? She doesn't need to be here!"
Tumblr media
"I don't want to hear another damned thing about that princess. Keep quiet, or you'll draw attention to us."
Fists clenched, and her already stormy grew even more angry as Tahariel moved past her, continuing toward the edge of the Aegis.
Tumblr media
"You don't want to hear it? You're the one that started--!"
Before she could give the Ahniri a piece of her mind, however, Zebi grabbed her wrist, and pulled her toward them. And as much as she hated it when someone stopped her from speaking her mind...admittedly, it was probably for the best, in this instance.
Putting this guy in a worse mood than he already was would just end badly for all of them, after all.

"Wrenn, sweetling, may we speak...?"
"Yes? What is it, mother? Do you need something...?"
Allisae couldn't help but smile at her son's ever attentive response, reaching up to press her palms to his cheeks, cradling her face so preciously. Wrenn has been with her all this time, but on occasion she couldn't help but think that he suddenly grew overnight. That his days as a small boy that she could hold so perfectly in her arms had suddenly passed her by. And in a way, they did. Since Yukaine's departure from the Aegis when they were young, Wrenn had taken it upon himself to shoulder so much burden. He lived to be her son, rather than she living to be his mother.
Every time she sees Wrenn nestled up against Niesal or his other friends, she couldn't help but think about the life he could have lived had he been able to focus on living for his own sake. How many years has she stolen from him?
"You know....since we're not on the Aegis anymore, once Tahariel feels it's safe, you can go wherever you'd like. You don't need to stay with me and Lily. You've done so much over the years, my love...."
She trails off, her heart beginning to sink as she watches Wrenn's smile drop. Almost appearing stunned by her words.
Tumblr media
"Do you..." His chest tightens, heart beating almost panicked as his spine begins to feel cold---sensations Allisae could feel as though the emotions were her own, a sense of dread she felt from him the day it dawned on him that Yukaine would be leaving.
Tumblr media
"Do you not need me anymore...?"
Tumblr media
"Oh....Oh, Wrenn, it's not that. Of course, of all places in the world, I would want you with me. You're my baby. But I know that there was always so much you wanted to do." She runs her thumbs along the markings of his cheeks. "Oh, I should be asking you that. It makes me hurt knowing that the days of you needing me are over, when I have barely done a thing for you..."
Tumblr media
"You have done everything for me..."
Tumblr media
"No, my love, I really haven't..." Her voice almost cracks, one of her hands pulling back to clutch her chest. "It is you who has done everything for me, and you deserve your rest. You are free, as well. And wherever you wish to be, whether it's here or elsewhere, I will have all the joy I need knowing you are happy."

Summary.1
Within the span of a day
While trying to investigate what the "The Cage" is, Allisae is confronted by her brother after overhearing a conversation she was having with Lydia. The two twins get into an argument.
The Aegis's flight path across the sky has dropped enough to scrape the face of Dasanne Navarro's tower, causing damage to both. As a result, the Aegis must stay docked an extra week for repairs and Dasanne Navarro himself was summoned to appear before the Emperor during the Docking Party.
The incident led to several people falling off the Aegis and the tower, though they were swiftly rescued by Captain Rylenn of the Vanystean Imperial Guard and other foreign guests (such as Duke Yukaine au Namodia---Allisae's eldest son. And King Hatius au Namodia.)
Charidynn privately asks Avelan if he is able to write the memory of the incident out of everyone's memory, to which Avelan admits he cannot perform an act on such a large scale.
Once the Aegis safely docks, foreign guests begin arriving. Tahariel Elohim(@soulsxng) arrives among them disguised as a guest from another Ahnian noble family.
Yukaine is announced as a King in the new dual-monarchy of Namodia, much to the surprise of everyone. Immediately after, Allisae is seen leaving the party and Yukaine and Wrenn get into a heated arguement.
The Duels are announced, with entries from Tengmen, Vralyra, Ahnia, Aifaen, Setia, Ibissia, Navka, Greenhaven and Vanystea. Tristan and Chercia are among these entries.
Allisae returns to the party, searching for Yukaine. In her search, she sees the protective barrier of The Duels come down and is thus reminded that she must investigate "The Cage" for her daughters' sake.
Wrenn leaves the Duels(along with Simni, Nesa, Qai, and Zebi - @soulsxng) after throwing his match with Minglian(@arcxnumvitae). Yukaine follows them, but separates from his brother once again.
Tristan cruelly and severely injures Chercia by breaking one of her wings, to the shock and disgust of all the spectators. A small riot is formed in protest which leads to Tristan being thrown and separated from Chercia by Crown Princess Suzanne of Dracondia(@liroyalty ). The altercation is interrupted by Charidynn. Afterwards, Chercia is taken to the infirmary and Charidynn takes Tristan elsewhere. However, Suzanne's enraged speech has cast doubt on Tristan as crown prince of Vanystea.
The princesses of Dracondia Scre leave. Taking the murder noodles with them :c
The Aifaen and Vash-Aifaen also leave.
The Duels are canceled after several contestants pull their names from the running after witnessing the incident.
Souji(@akumanoken), Allisae's handmaiden, searches for her with the help of Prince Mikhail of Volodymyrr(@desiderium-eden).
Allisae found papers full of ancient runes and Cythonian scripture in her father's study. She took them to the grand library to retrieve books to decipher them, and discovered that it was a recipe for a powerful containment barrier.
Tahariel takes this opportunity to capture Allisae, his former fiancee. He reveals that he is there to take her, Wrenn, and Yukaine away from the palace. He flees out the library's window with her in his arms, but Wrenn is quick to see them and flies after them along with his companions.
Souji and Mikhail arrive a the library and discover Allisae's veil. Mikhail notices the papers left behind, and burns as much as he could of what sees into his back.
Huaxiu and Jianhuren(@arcxnumvitae) find their way to the library, where they discover the papers left by Allisae. They are closely followed by Enoch and Jai(@soulsxng)
Riliane has a vision of Tahariel fleeing the Aegis with Allisae and her children. She tells Avelan after being confronted.
After creating an illusion of him flying away from the Aegis, Tahariel lands in the gardens of the Aegis' East Castle. After a short confrontation, Wrenn decides it's best to escape with him and his friends agree to help. Wrenn leaves the East Castle to retrieve Yukaine, Chercia, and Lily.
Chercia lays in the infirmary with her personal guard, Jinx(@fatestouch). Charidynn comes to speak with her, and she unknowingly gives him an idea on how to not only salvage Tristan's reputation, but to explain away the mess with Navarro's tower.

Charidynn's Children pt.2
Tumblr media
Avelan
The fourth born son and the eldest of the twin children Charidynn had with Third Consort Saya Miyahara. He is husband to Greenhaven's soldier prince, Cecil (@fatestouch). Together they had four legitimate children: Lydia, Cari, Mercury, and Kairede. Avelan is a well-trusted advisor on the handling of Vanystéa's natural resources and is well on his way to becoming part of the Grande Imperial Council. His reputation thus far is spotless. And, thanks to his marriage with Cecil, it is through him that Vanystéa keeps its alliance with Greenhaven in good graces.
Tumblr media
Allisae
The second born daughter and the younger of Charidynn's twins with consort Saya. Allisae is formerly known as queen of Namodia thanks to her late husband King Aiden au Namodia, with whom she had two legitimate children, Yukaine and Liliana. Once referred to as "Charidynn's favourite daughter", she is now known as the disgrace of the imperial family for having an affair while married to King Aiden and thus leaving Vanystéa's alliance with Namodia in tatters. The execution of the Vanystéan noble, with whom she had the affair that produced her bastard son Wrenn, was pinned to her name. She also later failed to secure a marriage with Tahariel Elohim (@soulsxng) , an Ahnian noble, presumably due to all the scandal. She is often called the "Whore of Vanystéa." Allisae has not made in an official public appearance in over two decades, confined to the palace by her father's orders.
Tumblr media
Nero
Charidynn's fifth son born son from another unknown woman assumed to be from West Vanystéa. He is of marriage age, though has no interest in being married off. Nero instead prefers to write books and plays for his theater, The Empyrean. Most of them consist of dead or dying heroines.
Tumblr media
Riliane
Charidynn's third daughter, born to Fourth Consort Gwynndolyn Kingsley de Faetum. She is unmarried with no children, and currently in search for a match to benefit her family. Quiet, reserved, and dubbed "deadly" by those at court because....well...she has scared off most of her potential matches---she has yet to find any of them worthy. She is the court seer, often helping her father look into political happenings in the future.

“You have grown so cold, my Lady Gaea...~”
“Damian, if you’re here to talk then for once be serious. Be real. I don’t know if I can take any more of your games.”
Damian’s eyes drift down, noting the trickle of bright gold within the crimson of her wounds. Ichor. Always a sign that the wound was deeper than appearance would suggest, when concerning gods. She notices him staring, and recedes further behind her husband’s arm as if to shield her injuries from gaze.
“Let’s at least get you seated somewhere comfortable so you can heal---”
“No.”
Tumblr media
“I care nothing for small talk. If you are here about Liliana, then make your case and leave. I have no more patience when it comes to this.” And she can’t promise that Tahariel would have the patience to stand there without making Damian more...familiar with his blade. And, if Damian isn’t careful with his words, she’s not certain she would stop her husband, either.
Damian quiets. Any sign of ease or playfulness falling away from his expression as he tries to gather his words. His thoughts. His options of how to go about the topic when it’s already been breached before.
“....You know that there is something happening among the realms. Something spreading. The Princes are beginning to panic about it, and I suppose it’s safe to assume that you and Heaven---” His eyes briefly meet Tahariel’s before falling back to Allisae’s. “---are moving to take some action....”
After a pause, Damian silently bends to one knee, then the other.
Tumblr media
“I’m just here to ask---beg, if I need to---to let me see Liliana. Let me speak to her. Hold her. For just a second. You know I’m not foolish enough to try stealing her away. Where would I hide from you, Allisae?” He has chased his daughter’s soul for all his life. Try as he might for the family he’s made back in Hell, there was still a part of him that couldn’t let her go. If something were to happen to him or her through the crisis, he wasn’t sure he could be at peace without having seen her at least once more in this new life of hers. “Please.”
