This was probably the last thing she was hoping to run into on this impromptu 'solo adventure' Caine had suddenly sprung on her. After having had an 'epiphany' and realizing that he had to be 'more considerate' towards the feelings and needs of everyone, he suddenly dropped her into what appeared to be some sort of mystery themed setting. Though not a horror one. He had plastered the words 'THIS IS NOT A HORROR ADVENTURE PLEASE DO NOT FREAK OUT I AM BEING CONSIDERATE' in bright neon text over the skybox which.. Should count for something? Maybe? Probably not.

Regardless, he'd noticed (was told extensively by Ragatha) that Pomni was pretty fond of Gummigoo after their last fast food adventure. And that she might have had some complicated feelings over seeing him again. It was probably in the hopes that Caine wouldn't mindlessly throw him into another scenario, but he clearly didn't get the message.

The candy croc rambled on in an attempt to describe his missing companions, oblivious to the short jester's state of mind until he noticed that she still seemed a bit distracted.

Honestly I feel like Vanitas is more insulted about the eternal baby face than anything. Like he is SO unintimidating right now it's sad.

My secret headcanon is that during KH3 specifically, Vanitas is stuck looking like Sora in whatever form Sora takes.

My Vanitas was secretly also a furry with a tail during Monsters Inc’s world and that’s why it’s literally the only time we see him wearing the Black Coat (outside of the mandatory evil group gathering he did with everyone at the beginning of the Keyblade Graveyard Segment).

He was using the coat to hide the tail. He was using the helmet to hide that his face was going :3 all the time.

But outside of that, specifically, I think Vanitas is actually really stupidly prideful so he refuses to be ashamed of the baby face.

Vanitas is like yeah I look awesome and badass. I’m not sharing a face with Sora, Sora is sharing a face with ME. Sure, I only have this face because of Sora. But it’s MINE NOW.
