"Do you really?" Somehow he felt like she didn't. Ever since she'd joined, the amount of males visiting the cafe had skyrocketed, but unfortunately, it was attracting some of the...creepier side of the population. It was beginning to bother Ryou, especially since he was trying to protect the other girls.

"If I gave you permission to scare them away, would you?"

Ichigo knows full well that ever since the initial encounter, Ryou and Keiichiro had been trying to meticulously plot how to get the girl they had seen before into the cafe without it being too awkward, but sadly, she had some news for them that was likely either gonna relieve them or stress them out even more.

Them being in that room, she sighed and found herself tapping at the door before poking her head in. "Um... Guys... I have some news..."

They didn't need to plot any longer-

"What is it, Strawberry?" Ryou turned around in his chair, Keiichiro's eyes snapping to her as well. They had no idea what was about to be revealed to them, as they weren't focused on watching the security cameras right now--

Ryou wasn't actually aware of her....current situation considering housing. That was something that only Keiichiro was aware of. But...he did find it odd that she was asleep out here...

"Fisk?" He called out to her, bending over to look at her face. "Why are you sleeping out here?"

"...Don't tease me if you don't mean it, Strawberry." His fingers traced her cheek, her lips, and his look was intense. Clearly there were feelings there from his end, but he needed to know for sure that she meant what she was saying and that she wasn't lying to him.

"If you mean it...say it again."

"I'll get the first aid--" Keiichiro dashed off to go grab that, while Ryou reached out to steady her.

"What happened?" Ryou asked, "I need to hear the whole story.. For your own safety."

"...I did. You're not losing your mind." It looked suspiciously like a chimera animal....but why?

They were supposed to be gone--

Maybe they had missed something.

"We need to check it out before anyone gets hurt."

"Me?" That was not something he was expecting her to say, and Ryou paused mid thought to change the entire course of what he was thinking about. He had to. He'd been derailed.

He reached out and poked her cheek, a little smile on his lips. He was relaxed, far away from the cafe and his responsibilities, and she would discover that he was different in moments like these when he didn't have to put on a front.

"I think the moon will be more jealous that I'm standing at your side when it wants to be the one in my shoes."

A package showed up on Ichigo's doorstep over night. Her Mother brought it in, pondering over who could've sent it.

Ichigo's name was clearly written in cursive on the note on the side. Had it been hand delivered?

“I can bring your fears to life.“ (Sylvia to Ryou)

"Unfortunately for you, my biggest fear has already happened." He kept his stare steady. He wasn't going to back down. "I've said it once and I'll say it again. You are not to abuse my employees on my property. Do you understand? I don't care who you are. If I find out more abuse is happening at home, I will report it."

Times like this he truly hated not being able to transform like they could. It made him utterly useless in the event of an actual attack. He didn't hesitate to grab her hand and rushed off after her, making sure he wouldn't slow her down as she protected him on their way to safety.

"Sorry, Mint. I had no idea they would...!" Attack right at the cafe!

“No matter how much I try, there’s no way I could pay you back for all you’ve done for me.” (Ichigo to Ryou)

"Then I guess it's a good thing that I'm not asking for anything really in return, except a little bit of your attention," he joked awkwardly for a moment before a serious expression crossed his face.

"As far as I'm concerned Strawberry, I've done far more harm than good," he admitted, meeting her eyes. "The fact that you don't hate me is enough. I couldn't ever ask for anything more than that."

It had been a kiss that they really hadn't meant to share in that timeframe, but a little shared peck turned into a heavier kiss. He couldn't help it. After all this time pining and waiting he finally had her, and he was going to milk it for all that it was worth--

Except the door opened.

He stared for several long seconds before turning right back around. "Tell me when you're done."

Ryou felt like he was going to die.

A pause, she seemed almost on the verge of tears. He hadn't meant to get hurt, or make her worry about him. He was just trying to protect them all, like he always did.

He brushed his fingers across her lips and smiled a little. "Careful, Strawberry. Keep making me feel like this and I'll never be able to let go of you."

A gentle push. "Be careful. I'll be fine now."

"I do. You were really cute transforming for the first time--though to be honest, I wish I'd handled the situation better...maybe you wouldn't have hated me for a while if I had."

He was a bit immature for his age and he knew that. His first response to seeing a girl that he liked was to tease her and--well--that hadn't gone over well...

A sigh. "Yes, is that a problem? I've never had a girlfriend before. I don't exactly know how to have one. I've...never even had the time to consider it."
