Tbh as a cane user it’s a little funny to me that Harry gets shot in the leg (and potentially the shoulder) and then has to just. Continue w his Jamrock shuffle. reading about the history of computer science is very fun for having thoughts about the technology of the game's setting (which i assume must exist in the same level to one extent or another outside of krat, even if puppets are a monopoly of krat's. i mean, geppetto is not even from krat and he's been established to be a genius inventor even before he came there and invented puppets)

like how do i eloquently elaborate that the "God" and watchers from Drakenier would absolutely send a plague or disease that turns people into stone and then inadvertently have said humans discover and use the energy from the human soul "ergo" to advance the speed of their own destruction.

What I like about both said games and stories of that world is that its a story about pain, misery, hope, secrets and lies are all such human things. I often think about the protagonists in Yoko Taro's works and how you don't necessarily have to be good or bad you just have to think you're right. I feel so excited thinking upon these scenarios that can be applied to P and his own dilemma on being "good" and the choices the player can make telling lies or the truth in any given scenario, I feel like what makes this really effective in the setting of Krat is that all of the cast and characters have a secret, withheld information is kept away from the player to be discovered. An end to justify the means. Meanwhile the whole world seems to be falling apart.

I think your confusion is that Quentin could pretty much tell that Gwen wasn’t a mind reader, but couldn’t tell what her deal was in terms of powers, not accepting her statement that she had no powers at first and then getting too into it. To say it was his utter confusion and misunderstanding at what she was that made you think this: it would be a valid reading of the text, if not one spelled out clearly. A reading in-between the lines ‘of course’ meaning, like how Mystique literally being Sherlock Holmes was merely an inference for decades before being more recently confirmed.

The one time we do see him reading her mind being the ending of ‘Strikes Back’, when she was worrying about having to avoid mind readers lest her false story be exposed.

It's still possible bc we haven't seen any actual instance of her mind being read, bc like you said, the only time they bring it up is at the end of Strikes Back. The amount of deadly secrets she has in her brain, with no way to protect them from a telepath?? I call shenanigans.

like yeah that is a dumb minor insignificant issue and yeah maybe it is a “home problem” but a school problem but it was clearly a huge issue for that girl at that moment and she can’t just “turn off” big feelings just because she’s at school and it was something that happened before school :(
