|| okay some info on Kira’s Twisted Wonderland verse~

Sophmore (17 years old), Diasomnia dorm. Based off of the Enchantress of Beauty and the Beast.

Backstory:

Kira is originally from the Shaftlands, but spent a great part of her life in Briar Valley. Like in many of her verses, she spent most of her childhood in a house with a couple who abused her. Her parents couldn’t take care of her, so they left her with a childless couple in the hope they would love her instead. However, the couple treated her more like a servant than a daughter and hurt her when she didn’t do as they asked. When she was eight, she killed them accidentally with a burst of magic.

Kira ran from the house into the streets, only to be found by a kind old lady. The woman saw how scared Kira was (sensed her emotions, for she was blind and couldn’t see with her eyes) and explained that she was visiting from Briar Valley and would be willing to take her back home and give her food. The prospect of food intrigued the girl despite the distance between Briar Valley and the Shaftlands, which she didn’t yet understand. Kira agreed, and the woman took her on a broom ride back to Briar Valley, to Kira’s amazement.

The woman, Primrose, then took care of Kira for many years. She taught her how to use magic and how to survive within the magical valley. Kira loved her new home and her new family, and now that she knew about her power, she wanted to use it better than before. That’s why she was ecstatic to accepted into Night Raven College, which is where we are now.

Key/Personality details:

Kira is a magic prodigy and at the top of her class. Not the best in her year, but in that top group of sophomores with Riddle and Azul. However, she is very quiet and closed off from others, mostly due to being shy.

Kira wears a dark green cloak over her uniform with the hood pulled over her head. The shadow cast by the hood conceals most of her face save for her mouth. This appearance makes her seem cold and distant, so many people don’t talk to her and in fact distance themselves from her. She wears this cloak because it was a gift from Primrose, plus she uses it to conceal her appearance since people should focus on who she is on the inside rather than on outer appearances. If she’s angry at someone, she’ll pull her hood back to glare at them properly, revealing her beautiful appearance--most likely to curse them in some way.

She’s gotten VERY good at seeing through acts and looking right down into who someone is on the inside. I won’t metagame with her, but know that she’ll figure out someone’s true intentions pretty quickly if given enough evidence, plus she’ll figure out who someone is on the inside if they’re different from their outward appearance.

Kira is quiet and distant just because she’s an introvert, yes, but she’s very sweet once you get to know her. She can be mean if someone deserves it, but otherwise she’s nice. It represents that “cold on the outside” (like the enchantress’s “ugliness” at first) but “beautiful within” (like the enchantress’s beautiful “true self”) that is a big part of Beauty and the Beast. 

School details:

Favorite class: Transformation magic (with Enchantments being a close second)

Least favorite class: literally ANYTHING physical education (even though she is good at flying, but she hates exercise)

Kira is excellent at most of her classes (she struggles in PE courses) and is a very hard worker. Her classmates probably want her help, but she looks so intimidating, so people rarely talk to her much less ask her for help. 

The only time she is ever without her cloak is in gym, where she is forced to be without it. I doubt anyone knows who she is without the cloak, and it actually annoys her how everyone treats her differently when they see her beautiful doll-like appearance and acts kind to her whereas they want nothing to do with her normally. 

There are probably rumors that this “hood girl” is actually breath-taking underneath her cloak.... Or, maybe not. People don’t talk about her much anyway.

In her room in her dorm, she has an enchanted rose from Primrose’s garden. It’s enchanted to calm and ease the negativity from anyone who stares at it. She uses this to help regulate blot levels, which she is very careful about. 

Kira is usually in the science club (very distant, usually uses this time just to do small experiments on her own while staying away from others) but I do sometimes have it where she eventually joins the music club. The circumstances of her joining differ (and can be planned out through plotting) but she has a beautiful singing voice so she often sings with the guys~ It helps her come out of her shell and make friends!!

Signature spell:

“Beauty is Found Within”. This spell allows her to look into someone’s soul by physical contact. 

Kira is strong enough to sometimes use the signature spell without saying anything, but she rarely does this from all the blot it creates. Sometimes she’ll simply say “Beauty is Found Within” if there’s a rush to use the spell and she doesn’t want to generate too much blot. However, more often than not, she’ll say the whole chant, which is as follows.

“Heed min warning, lest haggard features blind: Look beyond the rugged appearance, for true Beauty is Found Within.”

Home life/Relationships:

Home:

Kira and Primrose live in a little cottage in the forest. Primrose has a very haggard appearance and many children actually fear her (she looks like that stereotypical witch that eats children XDD) but she is SO sweet the moment she opens her mouth and speaks. Even so, no one really visits the cottage because they stay away from her.

There’s a rose garden right outside of the cottage. Primrose is very proud of her flowers and is often seen tending to them. This is where Kira got her enchanted rose. 

Primrose:

Yes, she looks grotesque appearance wise, but she is kind and loving underneath. Much like the Enchantress herself... Which makes sense, since Primrose IS the Enchantress!! Idk yet how she’s been alive this long, but she is an incredibly powerful enchantress, and the same one who cursed a boy prince into turning into a beast due to the ugliness of his heart. She actually regrets that rash decision, but she’s happy it all ended well. Kira has no idea Primrose is that Enchantress despite loving the story of the beastly prince and the village girl. 

Idk yet if I want her to be a fairy... We’ll see. XDD 

Primrose is actually blind. She can’t see at all, but she can sense auras. To her, it’s like sight. Everyone has a different aura, so she can tell people from each other by the “color” of it, as she often puts it. She can’t read a person’s mind with this ability, but she can sense their affect (immediate emotion) and mood (long-term emotional makeup of a person). It was how she sensed that the Beast had no love in his heart, but she tested him anyway all those years ago. She can tell if someone is lying/being manipulative, but she can also tell if that’s really their NATURE or if something is off about them to make them do this.

She is also very wise. She may sense someone is lying but their underlying aura doesn’t match, so she won’t judge them immediately. She will give them time to correct themselves (a mistake she sees she made with the Beast).

Adam:

Kira has a sort of “pet” back at home named Adam, but as she affectionately calls him, her “little beast”~ He kind of resembles a cat....thing with unruly brown fur and an ever-present scowl on his face.

He’s actually a monster that Primrose caught wrecking her roses once, so she cursed him into a tiny form to keep him from causing more damage. He hangs around the cottage because only Primrose can turn him back into his normal form. 

He’s very grumpy and acts like he hates everyone, but actually likes Kira. He’s always let her pet him and carry him around, complaining every once in a while like the grump he is, but he certainly doesn’t try to get her to stop. She is the ONLY one allowed to treat him like some pet. And he’s super protective of her, plus he really misses her now that she’s gone to NRC. Whenever Kira visits for a break, he is the FIRST one who reaches her as she approaches the house, literally RUNNING to greet her with his tiny little legs.

Kira doesn’t know about this, but Primrose has actually offered to turn him back. He declined, saying he SUPPOSES he could stick around here a little while longer... And being in this form allows him to fit through the little door Kira installed for him~

|| SO remember what I said earlier about completely reworking Kira’s TWST verse and Kristian’s backstory? WELL HERE ARE THE DETAILS!! It shouldn’t effect any Kristian threads too much, and I’ll talk to anyone who has TWST Kira threads/plotting~

These changes try to fix holes/weak spots that I’ve accidentally created, as well as make better connections to the original source material~~

To begin with, Kira and Kristian NEVER met. If you’re familiar with their backstories, Kristian dated Kira to essentially use her to get into NRC. We’re not doing that anymore. 

Kristian actually enrolled in Royal Sword Academy first. Idk if he got in by using someone or if his parents enrolled him since that’s where his brothers went to school, but I’m leaning towards the latter. However, in the early to middle part of his freshman year, some big incident (haven’t worked out the exact details just yet XDD) happened where he actually got expelled from RSA. So, he transferred to NRC. 

you see what i did there~? Hans originally SEEMED like your normal good guy heroic prince type, but he’s actually a VILLAIN, which is why Kristian was originally from RSA and moved to NRC~ However, he has worked VERY hard to keep the details of his “transfer” a secret, so DO NOT ASSUME YOUR MUSE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED!!! We can plot something out if you want, but otherwise, your muse does NOT know. 

But what does this mean for Kira? Usually, it was Kristian tricking her into helping him get into NRC that made her so guarded. Without that, her personality actually CHANGES. This is a big change, actually, which is why it will likely affect threads (so I’ll talk to people writing with her~)

Outwardly, everything is the same. She still wears her hood over her face. She still wants people to see her for who she on the inside, not on the outside. She just isn’t cold/distant at first anymore. She only SEEMS cold/distant with how she rarely talks to anyone with her hood pulled over her head in such a shady manner. She’s actually just pretty shy.

She still doesn’t trust Pomefiore students, nor does she trust anyone that gives her “fake vibes”. She really dislikes anyone who seems nice but is actually bad on the inside, and she’ll be actually cold to THOSE people. 

This puts more emphasis on her appearance rather than how she acts. I always felt that her acting cold and stuff isn’t very representative of the Enchantress, and it’s been bugging me ever since I made this verse XDD With her hood drawn over her face like it is, she seems very closed off and actually rather cold, but behind outward appearances, she is very sweet--to people who deserve her kindness, of course. It’s supposed to better represent that “old/ugly appearance, but then revealed to be a beautiful enchantress” story of the original work. And, of course, she IS actually beautiful underneath her hood, but we’re putting more emphasis on personality here XDD

This is completely separate from these changes, but it’s an addition to Kira’s verse that I want to make noticeable and I’ll add onto her verse page later. Kira’s guardian, Primrose, is the Enchantress. I’ll work out the details soon (as to how she’s still ALIVE) but it’s her. Also, with this I headcanon that the “old lady” we see in the movie is Primrose’s actual appearance, and the beautiful enchantress we see is a spell she used to show how she is inside. She regrets the rash decision she made back then, but she is happy the story worked out in the end. More to be worked out later~

|| So I’ve been thinking about twst events and where each of my ocs would be showcased (and thus be an SSR)..... Like for Kira, her biggest event would NO DOUBT be this masquerade one. It’s where she goes to her first “home” and where we see more of her finally being seen instead of just hiding in the back, and Rollo’s whole mentality of taking away magic is something she lived with for YEARS so it just really puts a good spotlight on her~

Lia’s would probably be the ghost marriage event XDD I need to watch that event, but I can see her having an SSR of her essentially crossdressing to try and get Eliza to leave Idia alone. Not because SHE wants to, of course, but because she has no choice but to come to his aid XDD let her ALMOST change eliza’s mind until it’s revealed that wait she’s a girl and got slapped KJSDKSDHJHSDJKDS Idk much about the event other than that, but just know that’s probably her biggest one~

And idk for Kristian... I think maybe one of the Fairy Galas?? Idk which one, but probably the first since i think only freshmen (or MOSTLY just freshmen) are in the second. But yeah, fairy gala is totally his vibe XDD I need to watch that too tbh..... things to do after finals ig~

Sexual Tension—No Longer Accepting

There was only one other person Kira had ever met that listened to her as intently as Kalim, and that was her own guardian. Whenever she was telling Kalim a story, his entire focus was always on her. He seemed so gripped by her tales, even if they were small and unimportant at best. She often talked about her experience in Briar Valley and how different it was from the rest of the world, and he listened with undivided attention. It surprised her with how inattentive he usually was in class and other activities. 

She was telling a story about back at home. Kira didn’t want to give him too much information about her background just yet--telling Kristian about her life before Primrose gave him the perfect opportunity to swoop in like some protective savior and make her finally feel safe, and it damn worked--but the smaller stories about life with Primrose were personal enough. She was talking about the first time she used a broom in the hope that it may help Kalim with his own broom-flying, but her train of thought diverged when she noticed his smile. He had such a big, goofy smile on his face... It was so endearing, and she adored that about him.

Kira found herself giggling softly as her story was interrupted by her own thoughts. “What are you smiling about.??�� Stars above, he was so adorable. Perfect in every way Kristian wasn’t. She thought Kristian was kind and genuine, but now that she knows Kalim, she can see what true kindness was. Kalim was so perfect in every way... She wished she met him first.

|| Very small headcanon post so no banner, but TWST Kira barely knows anything about technology (as expected since she’s from briar valley~) BUT she does have a phone!! She can use it fairly well. She learns very fast and is very good at researching things, so she’s gotten excellent at looking things up on her phone if she has any questions.

However, she does not have a Magicam account. She didn’t see any point to it tbh. The idea of social media is beyond her understanding.

|| That reminds me of a headcanon I forgot to drop!!

Kira’s life in the Shaftlands was TERRIBLE, as you guys already know. It’s a very traumatic place for her. She never wanted to return, but Primrose knew that she was bound to have to face her hometown eventually. So, when Kira was young (under Primrose’s care, of course) the two took a trip to the Shaftlands, specifically a small village that’s pretty close to the City of Flowers (where Kira is actually from).

They spent a bit of time in the village, but quickly moved to a BEAUTIFUL abandoned castle nearby. Kira loves ancient ruins and beautiful palaces, not to mention her strong adventurous spirit, so she thoroughly enjoyed herself while exploring the castle. Afterwards, the two took a small visit to the city itself, and Kira was able to tolerate it much better.

Currently, it would make her uneasy to go back (especially since she doesn’t really have any friends to comfort her) but she CAN DO IT. She’ll go~

|| Good morning!! Here are a few miscellaneous TWST Kira thoughts I’ve had~ Idk if I’ll keep them and I may change them, but they’re just little details I’m happy with~ A lot of them are references to the original source material XDD

I don’t know where Kira’s early childhood was. I doubt her “adoptive parents” lived in Briar Valley, since humans are so rare and rich humans like that just don’t exist here. So, I think she was originally born in the valley but was taken to an outside land, spent the first part of her life there, and when she escaped, followed her instincts back to Briar Valley. I’ve been toying with the idea that wisps of sorts are what led her to Primrose.

I’m thinking Primrose is a fairy. I’m thinking a flower fae (like the three good fairies in the Maleficent movie) but she decided to live as a human, and that’s one reason she’s so excluded from others. Bc most fae REALLY don’t like humans, so they wouldn’t like her for picking that lifestyle. I think roses are her specialty. Maybe she was cursed or something and that’s why she’s blind and her appearance so warped..?? Idk, haven’t gotten that far XDD

I’m thinking Kira has this brown long haired cat back at home named Adam, but she calls him her little beast. Part of me wants to take it a step further and have it be something that Primrose cursed to be in this form, and if so, it would be mostly a cat but maybe with horns or something idk XDD Maybe a monster that tried to get into her garden, and since it wants to be turned back, it sticks around. Regardless of if it’s a normal cat or once a monster, he’s a grumpy little guy that likes his isolation and will growl at anyone he meets. HOWEVER, he miraculously has a HUGE soft spot for Kira. Any time she comes home, he’s quick to greet her. If she’s in the garden, he’s with her. If she’s reading, he’s napping with his head on her lap. Maybe he’s protective of her? Maybe he sees her as his human companion? Idk, but it’s cute~

There’s an old castle that’s close to Primrose’s cottage. A little far, but close enough to visit by broom for a day trip. There are many ruins in Briar Valley, but this one is Kira’s favorite. She loves exploring the dark and empty space. When Kira was little, Primrose told her a story about a beautiful enchantress who cursed an evil prince and turned him into a beast, only so that he would find true love and become human once more. Kira often wonders if this castle was where it happened.

|| Oh shit, I totally forgot to make a post about this.... But I made a little change to Kira’s TWST verse!! I looked back at the game and remembered the NRC rule that familiars are allowed as long as they’re trained and whatever, and that made me realize Kira could have a familiar...

SO, Kira’s (kinda) “familiar”, Adam, lives at NRC with her!! Sometimes she takes him with her to class, but he typically hides in her hood and doesn’t come out, due to her request. However, most of the time, he stays in her room back at the dorm. (there MAY have been an incident where Adam lashed out at Coach Vargas for something, but that’s just a rumor....but whatever it is, Vargas CLEARLY dislikes her monster friend and avoids him~)

Little reminder that Adam is a monster who was cursed into a smaller form after getting into trouble with Primrose, but he’s stuck around her cottage and doesn’t even complain about being in this form anymore now that Kira’s here. She’s the only person he lets touch her and it’s clear she’s his soft spot. He’ll hurt anyone who hurts her~

|| A little change to Kira’s twst verse~ Usually, I say she’s either in the science club or the music club (originally science, but in some plots she transfers as part of her character development). Well, I’m changing that!! Instead, Kira is part of the botany club!! It’s an original club, true, but it’s something I think Kira would enjoy. (in threads where she transfers to the music club, I WILL KEEP THAT FOR CHARACTER GROWTH, but know that otherwise she will NOT change clubs!!)

Since this is a made-up club, I’d be happy if any of you guys want to put an oc of yours into the club too!! Kira is not the leader (as of right now, but I may change that detail later if needed) and so that’s a role that can be filled in. The way I see it, they’re kind of the groundskeepers for the botanical garden. They take care of the plants that don’t belong to anyone in particular (they wouldn’t touch Jack’s cactus, Jade’s mushrooms, etc.) as well as take care of their own plant projects. For instance, Kira has a small part of the botanical garden where she grows a couple of rose bushes. 

If you want your muse to be part of this club, let me know so I can have Kira mention your muse sometimes in threads (when referencing the club)!! You don’t HAVE to tell me if you want your muse to be part of this club, but it’s more fun to have that connection~

|| Something I didn’t mention before, but blot when it comes to my two TWST ocs... Kristian has a LOT of negativity and uses his magic with these negative emotions very often. However, he isn’t at risk of overblot. His magic isn’t nearly strong enough to reach that level of blot in his body.

Kira, on the other hand, is definitely capable of overblotting, and that’s why she won’t. She knows she’s at risk and has known ever since she started learning magic (Primrose can sense the power in her and warned her of going too far). She refrains from using magic out of negative emotion and tries to remain calm and collected when casting spells. The rose in her room that’s enchanted to bring peace to one’s soul helps lower her level of accumulated blot. I highly doubt she would ever overblot.

|| Looking back at all of my different versions of Kira over the years, I can tell that I really did base a LOT of her (at least ideals and personality) off of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, which is my favorite Disney princess XDD So seeing Kira being put in a DIFFERENT role is pretty interesting~ Even so, she does still retain a lot of “Belle”. Her guardian, Primrose, gives me more the impression of the benevolent side of the Enchantress (saying that the curse will be broken when you find love) while Kira is more the cruel side of the Enchantress (cursing the entire castle rather than just the shallow prince). 

Even so, this isn’t necessarily one of her “bad ending” verses. She’s pretty cold and distant mostly because she’s very introverted and would rather not actively meet tons of people since more often than not, they aren’t true about who they are on the inside or favor outward beauty than inner. Kira has always followed the belief of “never judge a book by its cover” and “it’s what’s on the inside that counts”, but this is obviously GREATLY exaggerated in this verse XDD Regardless, she is nice once you get to know her, and really enjoys helping other people. She just despises people who are ugly on the inside, especially if they focus all their attention on outer beauty...so you can guess how she feels about most Pomefiore students.....

|| TWST Kira was raised by a woman named Primrose (I ALMOST named her Bellerose but figured that would be a bit much XDD). She’s a very old lady who lives alone in a cottage in the woods. Children are actually afraid of going to her house because they think a scary witch lives there, and adults often shy away from her due to her grotesque appearance. However, to Kira, all she’s ever been is family.

Primrose is the nicest person Kira has ever met. She’s very sweet and caring towards all living beings, but can be strict if necessary. She found Kira right after she ran away from her “adoptive parents” and took the frightened child in. She could sense Kira’s magic and how strong it was and promised the girl to teach her how to use her abilities. It is because of Primrose that Kira believes that beauty is found within, because to Kira, Primrose is the most kind and beautiful person in the world--even if outward appearances may make others say otherwise.

I’m thinking about making Primrose blind, but she can sense auras (so strong that she can basically see them). This includes magical auras as well as a person’s soul. While Kira can touch someone and literally see into their soul and what it is made up of, Primrose can sense a general view of how a person is at heart (naturally, she did NOT trust Kristian XDD). She can’t see the specifics, but she can definitely tell if a person is good or bad. However, she can’t see actual faces and what a person really looks like. Kira wants to see people like that. However, Primrose believes that even the coldest souls with the darkest of hearts can be warm and good with love, which is what she saw in Kira’s transformation from a small, scared, hateful child to a beautiful (appearance AND soul-wise) young woman. 

I based Primrose off of the rose in Beauty and the Beast, but the details about her appearance is taken from the Enchantress’s first form that we see.
