oh i never talked about my canon changes but uuh to make a real long story short, i'd say about several years after Dak leaves the underdark after he escapes from imprisonment, he's tempted by a clergy man of bhaal ( he was indeed a hired blade by that point ), if he can prove himself worthy of bhaals blessing, there's promise to lolth's downfall by worshiping him. and at the time, there was no better sounding promise.

he under goes the murder tribunal, he becomes an unholy assassin, and for a time he holds onto that promise made. till he let it lose as he became more driven, a murder every tenday as he prayed and received his blessing.

till gradually a few years ( a few to many oops ) his faith started to waver, bhaals influence wasn't as compelling, then Dakara is finally like "wait i actually don't want this, i don't think i ever did." and for awhile after he has to keep up the murders every tenday, his attempts to stray away at first were only met with an iron fist and very promising threats on his life. but bhaal's divinity did faulter, and that was Dakara's opportunity to attempt his break from the cycle. not without the suffering of consequences. Dakara was scorned by bhaal, a kind of branding scar left raw on his face, the blood tears. pretty much putting a target on him, literally, for his disloyally and breaking of faith from bhaal.

Dak did not free himself completely from bhaal's influence and sights till he sought refuge and protection under Eilistraee, the dark maiden, who at the time proved even more powerful than bhaal as he was forced to walk among the other gods.

there was no healing the scar upon his face, it always looking fresh and raw, even in bhaals apparent death, thus he is forced to conceal it by means of magic. one of his very many earrings is enchanted, an illusion that hides the blood tears. from bhaalist still stalking around and to hide the matter of his previous involvement with the cultist and Bhaal.

okay i know i said Dak has scars from when he was kept as a prisoner, but like i feel as those i failed to express the amount. they're heavily scattered over the length of his back, across his shoulders, some over his arms and legs. some short, some long, some cross over the other. some of them healed sunken in and the others creating a ridge of scarring. some smoothed to the touch and other rough.

and it's mostly obvious a majority of them were caused by the same tool. as the scars he has from battles and blades have healed with a visibly and physicals different texture.

alright alright here's some more little nasty tidbits about yours truly below, and be warned, who knows what i'm gonna end up openly listing here

Dakara is pansexual, he isn't fazed or off put by anything he sees under his partner's garments. and i do mean that. really that's all just a bonus because while he does, at first, typically fall into sexual relationships--- that doesn't mean he's NOT picking them up with people he doesn't fancy.

Dakara is more familiar with being a dom and a top, as it's usually the way things play out for him in the bedroom with partners. that being said he gets a kick out of ordering his partners around, taunting ( playfully ) and teasing them, and being in a position that literally put him over them in a manner. however!! as i've stated before, this doesn't prevent him from bottoming and subbing for his partners. it's just a little less familiar for him and it takes some battering him down or showing authority over him. he'll just surrender himself.

on that note, when Dakara isn't taking control in the bedroom he does prefer to be roughed up ( as he does roughing people up ) . that is entirely up to his partners, he doesn't want them doing anything they aren't comfortable with. but... if they're fine with being a little mean with him he welcomes it. pinning him down, grabbing his throat, putting him in questionable positions, you name it.

sometimes the armor stays on! only removing what's necessary before getting into the act. sometimes he'll only keep his gauntlets on to run the claws over his partner's form for a little stimulation and to leave little entrails over their skin.

Dak cannot be trusted to sit on his partner's lap for too long before he starts making a fool out of himself. grinding against them to get them all worked up.

ride this man like your life depends on it honestly. he loves to be ridden and also loves riding when he gets too. he prefers his partner's facing him and vice versa, that closeness, gripping at their shoulders and backs for stability and the ability to grab them and kiss them without straining himself or them to do it.

purely situational and depending of his partner, but say they've another form and it isn't an too overwhelming one, Dakara is open to fooling around with such said form. ahaem... monster fucker. again, this really depends on his partner. but he will do it. eagerly.

dakara is a fan of giving oral and equally receiving. be him on his knees or his partner atop his face ( his nose is very nice ) or having him laid back and his head dangling over the edge of a bed ( he's got a nice throat to look at ). he's a skilled tongue and a very weak gag reflex. that what you will from that! ( face fucking ) and he's also a fan of fingering his partners and jerking them off. he's got the long, strong fingers for it too. perks of using a bow often.

Dakara is used to being the authoritative, topping type with his partners in sexual situations. because of his presence and the way he holds himself, he's accustomed to it and excepts it. but lemme tell you, show a little dominance... grab his face, pull his hair, order him around he can and will fold with just a little resistance and a big smile. make him be the one that submits.

while it does truly take Dakara awhile to come around, to seek intimacy rather than sex to quiet down his needs, it's very much worth it. there's a certain softness to the way he'll touch his partners, a far more gentle look in his eyes, he doesn't feel like he's fighting himself back to take things slow. he wants to take his time. unless the occasion absolutely calls for a change in pace. he can be equally rough and tender with his partners in that case. a kiss with a bite so to speak

he doesn't spring at the chance to start collecting himself. he doesn't feel the need to put some distance between himself and his partner. simply lays with them, makes enough small talk to ensure they're alright and enjoyed themselves. holds there hands and draws them in closer to hold them for awhile.

more effort is put into aftercare, he doesn't leave everyone high and dry, but he doesn't go the near depths he does with something he's finding himself more romantically entangled with. he'll help them get cleaned up, aids them in redressing or getting conformable. get them things if need be.

i think Dakara has the potential to very influential among like among noble houses and he def HAS started conflicts between them before for his own betterment in the end and he will be doing it again honestly. he's like a snake in the grass he just sleeks around and collects the dirt to use to his advantage...

thinking about the first time Dakara left the underdark and how painfully it bright was and how it felt to have the sun shine upon him. warmer than a fire ever burned, seeing fauna and flora he'd never seen before. and the air clear and clean as it could be.

it was all such an overwhelming moment for him; he escaped from enslavement of 22 years with nothing to his name, deep wounds that were still raw and healing, and not a sense of direction or mind where to head. but, as staggering as it was for him, the weight on his shoulder's couldn't have felt lighter being above ground. it shouldn't be a surprise that he even wept for awhile as he adjusted to his new surroundings.

i like to think that Dakara has a very strong connection with his daughter ( very much like he did with his former partner ), to the point where he can sense when something's wrong, or he can just understand her without her making any efforts to comminate to him. and she's very much the same with him.

even though through the events of bg3, he is miles and miles away from her, Dak can still feel her presence. while he's still worried about her, he's not nearly as pressured as he grows to be when closing in on baldur's gate. because he can simply tell she's fairing without him there. that is at least till she isn't.
