#‘how does Mike keep losing Will in Costco?’ you may be asking

Text
Mike kinda loves their biweekly Costco trips. Yes, Will does always manage to get separated from him in the first five minutes. Yes, he does have a bit of shopping cart “road rage”. And yes, he does always end up spending more than he’d like, what with their unnecessary (but totally necessary) purchases (ie. books he nor Will ever even opened, the cornhole set they bought last trip, or the fake axe throwing kit from the trip before).
But, despite the headache that is shopping at Costco, he can’t help but love it. Love the fact that he can decide what snacks to buy, and splurge on things he never could have when he lived at home. Love the fact that he buys these things for the apartment he shares with Will, his best friend and boyfriend. Love the fact that, even though he loses Will five minutes in, he always finds him again on the display sofas. Lounging on them like he owns the place, with a small army of little white sample cups on the cushion next to him. Some of them crumpled from their journey, hurriedly stuffed in jacket pockets or expertly palmed so Mike can try them too.
So yeah, Mike kinda loves their biweekly trips to Costco, because when he meets Will’s eyes across the isle, sample cups splayed out, it feels like coming home.
