Israeli airstrikes killed between 20 and 30 people in Rafah Sunday night, including at least five children.

Among the slain children was a one-year-old boy whose parents had been trying to have a child for 10 years before he was finally born.

"This is who they are targeting," the boy's uncle, Mahmoud Abu Taha, said in a video shot by CNN in the courtyard of Rafah's Abu Youssef al-Najjar Hospital. "This is their objective. This is the generation they're looking for. This is the safe Rafah they talk about."

"Nowhere is safe. The entire Gaza Strip is a target."

As Abu Taha spoke, he lifted the lifeless body of his nephew toward the camera.

"His name is Deif-Allah (meaning guest in Arabic) and he was indeed a guest," Abu Taha further toldReuters. "He came as a guest after (his parents) longed for (him) for so long, after 10 years."

"Ten people (were killed), the mother, her daughter, her granddaughters, her grandson, her son-in-law, their daughters and relatives, everyone. They're all gone, all 10 of them," Abu Taha added.

As the threat of a full-scale ground invasion of Rafah still looms, the Israeli Defense Forces have continued to regularly bomb Gaza's southernmost city, where more than 1.5 million Gazans have fled seeking relative safety from Israel's lethal assault on the enclave.

Airstrikes late Sunday into early Monday struck three homes, The Associated Press reported:

The first killed 11 people, including four siblings aged 9 to 27, according to records at the Abu Yousef al-Najjar Hospital, where the bodies were taken. The second strike killed eight people, including a 33-year-old father and his 5-day-old boy, according to hospital records. The third strike killed three siblings, aged 23, 19, and 12. An Associated Press reporter saw the bodies at the hospital.

According to the video shot by CNN, the name of the five-day-old boy was Ghaith Abu Rayya.

"We are all alone. Nobody cares about us," a man cried out in the video as he opened a small body bag show Abu Rayya's head. He said the rest of the infant's body had been destroyed by the bomb.

Another mourner at the hospital told CNN, "Nowhere is safe. The entire Gaza Strip is a target."

The AP calculated the final death toll from the Rafah bombings at 22, including five children and six women. Reuters reported that 30 were killed.

Israel also carried out deadly airstrikes in other parts of Gaza Sunday night. The IDF killed five people, including women and children, when it fired a missile at the Tartouri family home west of Gaza City, the International Middle East Media Center reported. Another missile hit the home of the Hijazi family south of Gaza City, killing two women.

Another person was killed by an IDF missile that hit a car in central Gaza, while the Palestinian Civil Defense teams discovered 13 bodies amid the ruins of bombed homes in Khan Younis' Al-Amal neighborhood.

All told, the Gaza Health Ministry announced Monday that Israel had carried out three massacres against Gazan families in the last 24 hours, killing 34 and wounding 68. This brings the total death toll from Israel's assault on the Gaza Strip to at least 34,488, though that is likely an undercount as many remain buried beneath rubble and Israel has besieged and bombarded several hospitals, damaging or destroying nearly 84% of the strip's healthcare facilities and making record keeping more difficult.

Israel's devastating campaign in the Gaza Strip began in October 7 in response to Hamas' deadly attack on Southern Israel that killed approximately 1,100 and saw around 240 taken hostage. Prior to October 7, Israel had blockaded Gaza for 16 years and occupied the Palestinian West Bank for 56 years.

Sunday's bombings came as cease-fire talks between Israel and Hamas are set to restart Monday, with Egypt hosting Hamas leaders to facilitate the discussion.

"We are hopeful the proposal has taken into account the positions of both sides, has tried to extract moderation from both sides, and we are waiting to have a final decision," Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said at a World Economic Forum meeting on Monday.

In a recent piece published online, Hebrew University Holocaust and genocide scholar Amos Goldberg added his voice to the growing number of human rights and international law experts who have labeled Israel's actions in Gaza a genocide.

"What is happening in Gaza is genocide because the level and pace of indiscriminate killing, destruction, mass expulsions, displacement, famine, executions, the wiping out of cultural and religious institutions, the crushing of elites (including the killing of journalists), and the sweeping dehumanization of the Palestinians—create an overall picture of genocide, of a deliberate conscious crushing of Palestinian existence in Gaza," Goldberg wrote in the essay published in translation on Medium.

Four of these units have taken remedial measures, the State Department deputy spokesman Vedant Patel said on April 29, adding that all of the incidents had taken place before October 7 - and not in Gaza.

US law prohibits the government from funding or arming foreign security forces with credible allegations of human rights abuses, yet it remains the main supplier of military and monetary assistance to Israel, providing it with $3.8 billion annually in military dole.

Washington has continued to declare its full support for Israel since Tel Aviv launched its Gaza offensive last year and has continued to arm Israel to the teeth, regardless of the alarming civilian casualties among Palestinians in the besieged enclave.

"We have not attempted to return to the north because of the presence of the Israeli occupation forces in the Netzarim area," Mohammed Abu Jarad, a Palestinian teacher who fled to Rafah from the town of Beit Lahia tells TRT World.

Referring to an area where the “Terrorist , Fascist, War Criminal, Apartheid Zionist 🐖 🐷 🐖 🐗 Isra-helli Forces” have built a protective corridor and effectively split Gaza into two halves, he says: "If we do so, we expose ourselves to being killed."

Since launching the military offensive in Gaza nearly seven months ago, the Israeli military has also built what it calls "security barriers," plus two outposts, and has installed several checkpoints in what they refer to as the "Netzarim Corridor," according to satellite images and reports from the ground.

Earlier this month, displaced residents attempting to return to the north along the corridor were forced to turn back southward after an unprovoked attack on unarmed civilians by Israeli forces resulted in the death of at least five Palestinians.

The so-called "Netzarim Corridor" stretches from the Gaza-Israeli border to the Mediterranean Sea, with one outpost located at the crossroads between Netzarim Road and Salah a-Din Road, while the second is located where it meets Gaza's coastal route.

While Israel claims this corridor is essential for "security" reasons, Palestinians from northern Gaza fear that it will permanently prevent them from returning to their homes and allow Israel to rebuild illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory.

In January 1955, former French minister of the colonies Jacques Soustelle was appointed governor-general of Algeria. He created the Sections Administratives Specialisees to undermine the Algerian National Liberation Front (FLN) and win over the Algerians.

The army began to depopulate Algerian villages, relocating whole villages away from FLN areas of activity. It further established Algerian anti-FLN militias, depicting the FLN fighters as "locusts" in a huge propaganda campaign while representing itself as saving the Algerians from the evils of communism and Arab nationalism. This is not unlike the American and Israeli attempts to "save" Palestinians from the evils of "terrorism".

If these imperialist justifications remind us of how Iran today is targeted as the force behind the Palestinian revolt in Gaza and the West Bank and is constantly being threatened by Israel, the US, and their Arab allies, it is because the rhetoric is the same.

There was also growing support for Algeria's independence at the UN. The US, however, abstained on a General Assembly resolution in December 1957 recognising Algerians' right to independence.

Yad2, The Largest Classifieds Site in Illegal Regime of the Zionist 🐖 🐷 🐗 Isra-hell and a subsidiary of German publishing giant Axel Springer, is hosting a real estate fair in Tel Aviv this weekend. The proceedings, which got underway Friday, were slated to showcase Israeli real estate firms, including both those that list properties within Israel’s internationally recognized borders and those that offer listings for Jewish-only settlements in the occupied Palestinian West Bank.

The website for the Yad2 fair features a host of Israeli real estate firms doing business in the West Bank, including Tanya Israel, currently marketing 32 housing units in Efrat; Ram Aderet, which is advertising a construction project in Ariel; and Oron, with its “expansion project” of 40 villas in Eshkolot.

Also being promoted by Yad2 for its involvement in the fair is the firm Harey Zahav, which was recently at the center of two international controversies linked to Israel’s war in Gaza. Harey Zahav operated a large booth at Yad2’s confab, complete with exposed wood rafters that resembled a real house under construction.

Critics have accused Harey Zahav of stoking some of the genocidal sentiments that landed Israel in the Hague’s International Court of Justice. In October, the firm shared an image on Instagram depicting a tank, alongside a quote from the Book of Deuteronomy: “Your God will deliver them up to you, throwing them into utter panic until they are wiped out” — from a chapter of Scripture widely interpreted to be God calling for the genocide of the pre-Israelite inhabitants of the Holy Land.

Harey Zahav also recently caused international uproar for publishing an ad, titled “A House on the Beach is not a Dream,” that photoshopped transparent housing units into a picture of war-ravaged homes in Gaza. “We at Harey Zahav are working to prepare the ground for a return to Gush Katif,” the ad said, referring to a cluster of settlements in southern Gaza dismantled during Israel’s evacuation in 2005. Another ad from the company listed “presale prices” on a map of lots in Gaza.

After widespread condemnation of the ads, Harey Zahav’s CEO Zeev Epshtein told Haaretz that the company’s ads were “a sort of satirical idea.” He did not offer any remarks about the ad with the genocidal Bible reference. (Harey Zahav did not respond to a request for comment.)

Dror Etkes, an expert on settlements, said the notion of rebuilding settlements in Gaza is far from mainstream political, though, in Israel. Nonetheless, the lack of attention paid to a large company like Yad2’s willingness to host Harey Zahav and companies doing business in West Bank settlements speaks to acceptance of radical politics in Israel.

“It’s an apartheid culture,” he said. “Nearly everything here is accepted these days.”

In a statement, Julia Sommerfeld, a spokesperson for Axel Springer, said, “Yad2 is organizing a trade fair at which more than 40 companies are represented, including all of Israel’s major real estate companies. As a direct competitor, our goal is not to promote the work of other companies, but to promote exchange within the industry.”

Axel Springer, which also owns American media brands like Politico and Business Insider, makes money from the Yad2 classified site’s home sales and rentals in Jewish-only West Bank settlements, The Intercept previously reported. Yad2 publishes listings in the settlements as well as so-called settlement outposts, unauthorized even by Israeli legal standards. Yad2 lists over 1,000 paid ads from brokerage firms for settlement homes — which means revenue for its parent, Axel Springer.

“Yad2 operates fully in accordance with Israeli law,” said Sommerfeld, the Springer spokesperson. “Discrimination of any kind is strictly prohibited on the Yad2 platform. If users encounter individual ads that conflict with Yad2’s policies or applicable Israeli law, they are encouraged to report them. The relevant advertisements will then be checked and removed in the event of a violation.”

Satire or not on home listings in Gaza — “We want it to happen,” Epshtein, the CEO, said in an interview, “but it’s the state’s decision” — the website of Harey Zahav’s real estate business focuses on projects in Jewish-only West Bank settlements. Etkes pointed to the company’s proximity to the Israeli settler movement and the blessing it receives from the state.

“They require state authorization to build,” he said. “Even more so in the West Bank, where the vast majority of land has been expropriated from Palestinians and is controlled by Israel’s civil administration.”

The Gaza “satire” underscores the political empowerment of Israel’s right wing, and particularly the settler movement, after the October 7 attack by Hamas. Political radicals have been blocking aid convoys into Gaza and erecting symbolic outposts along the Gaza border. Meanwhile, high-ranking figures in the Israeli government have openly articulated their ambitions for Israeli control and a renewed Israeli civilian presence in Gaza.

The settlers torched over 40 houses, and also targeted an ambulance owned by the Palestine Red Crescent Society with gunfire as it attempted to reach the wounded following the attack according to the PRSC.

On March 6, Israel's Supreme Planning Council approved plans for nearly 3,500 new illegal settlement units to be built in the region. Under International Law, all Jewish 🐖 🐷 🐗 Settlements in the Occupied Territories are Considered Illegal.

The Terrorist, Fascist, War Criminal, Apartheid and Genocidal Isra-helli Army confirms that it has withdrawn from Al-Shifa Hospital and its vicinity in Gaza City, ending a two-week-long siege on the medical complex in which they claim to have killed and detained hundreds of Palestinian gunmen and seized weaponry and intelligence documents.

The army claims it conducted its raid without harming civilians and medical personnel, but the World Health Organization (WHO) says that at least 21 patients were killed during the siege which began on 18 March

Gaza's civil defence said that around 300 people were killed during the raid

The medical complex is the largest hospital in all of Palestine

Reporting from the hospital, Al Jazeera Arabic's correspondent said that all buildings in the complex have been burned, with people trying to take whatever remains from regular items to essential supplies.

The channel also quoted medical sources saying that "hundreds" of bodies are lying inside the complex and in the streets surrounding it
