"In a grand procession last week, Sinai Militia Leader Ibrahim al-Organi arrived at a ceremony to inaugurate the Arab Tribes Union, a new Paramilitary entity that brings together five tribal groups from across Egypt.
The formation of this alliance comes at a critical time and place, as Israel this week launched a long-threatened ground offensive against the Palestinian city of Rafah, just a short distance from where the Egyptian ceremony was held. Around 1.4 million displaced Palestinians have been sheltering in Rafah since Israel launched its war on Gaza last October.
Early on, Egypt started taking precautions for this scenario, overlooking many humanitarian details. It reinforced the fences and barriers along its border, tightened border security, and mobilised support and funding for alternative camps within Gaza itself.
The last thing the Egyptian regime wants is an image of an Egyptian soldier firing at displaced Palestinians.
Through the newly minted Arab Tribes Union, the regime might have found its only option for handling this situation, while avoiding the direct involvement of state soldiers.
Tumblr media
A third mass grave has been uncovered at al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City. Palestinian officials say they've exhumed 49 bodies, and the recovery process is still underway.
Organi is a prime choice to lead this task after his previous successes in organising the Union of Sinai Tribes, which worked alongside the Egyptian army to fight an Islamic State affiliate, and in running companies that manage the movement of people and goods between Gaza and Egypt.
But Organi's companies have also faced allegations of exploitative behaviour, including charging millions of dollars from Palestinian refugees fleeing war.
And there are significant risks that under difficult humanitarian conditions, his forces could become involved in smuggling operations, financial extortion, or other types of corruption - not to mention the inherent dangers of forming armed militias, which can prove disastrous to the security and stability of states"

why i'm getting all worked up in defending palestine
feel free to unfollow me if my reblogs regarding pro-palestinian posts is getting annoying to anyone who's seeing them on their following feed. i do not care if i lose followers for that reason alone because for the record, isnotreal is posting pics or videos of literally anything to show the things they've done or stole from palestinian homes, including canes.
literal fucking canes for the disabled and elderly !! like what the fuck are those zionist idiots think on why most people are not siding with that disgusting country??
"why are you getting affected by it when you're not even there?" so? what? just because i'm not living their pain doesn't mean i don't have any right to affected by it. just because i'm not one of the people suffering under that fucking country's massacre doesn't mean i won't do anything about it.
i'm a person with sympathy and a heart. i have fucking human emotions, sensitive to other people's pain, so when i fucking saw that one doctor seeing her own daughter being brought into the emergencies (refer to this one; TW: DISTRESSING THEMES), i cried, okay?
i fucking sobbed
so before anyone try to send me ask anything about anti-palestine, feel free to block me. with all due respect, block me right. now. i don't care if i'm being extremely political right now because i will genuinely fistfight someone for these people, even though i live almost on the other side of the globe. and before any fuckers hit me with the christianity being related into that white and blue country, i just want everyone to know that Jesus won't support them because He literally preached about loving everyone and loathed the hypocritic actions the pharisees were doing, like the zionists using His name to justify their wrongdoings, using Him to murder the people (palestinian children, men, and women) due to their greed of claiming the land palestine was occupying.

โ€œim tired of seeing posts about palestine!โ€ you know what im tired of? people either downplaying the genocide or simply not giving a fuck.
this is a full ethnic cleansing. this is 100% a genocide. isreal soldiers are straight up creating snuff films. ive seen more gore just from this war then i ever have in my life. how can people be so desensitized that a child hanging from a building, a child being ran over by a tank, people being tortured, a mother looking for her childs hair in a pile of hair and a child talking about how his friend in kindergarten was killed. how do you not see how absolutely FUCKED this is?

if yall are like me and you usually only ever have scraps of cash lying around (like pennies) but you wanna help Palestinians, then lemme tell yall:
keep that fucking shrapnel!!! keep it and save it up throughout the month, bc what you can do is you can save it, take it somewhere and get it converted into notes, and then you can deposit it into your bank account and use it to donate to gofundmes and other fundraisers to ensure that that money goes directly to those who need it.
it doesn't have to be a TONNE, but even just ยฃ1 can help someone MASSIVELY bc it all adds up & every penny, every 5p/10p coin will add up and it can make a difference!
if you have any country-specific info that'll help (eg if banks in Australia will let you take the coins to them & put it in your account), then please feel free to share it!!

Help Abdulrahman and his Family Rebuild their Lives
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Message from the creator:
ุงู„ุนุฑุจูŠุฉ ููŠ ุงู„ุฃุณูู„
Hi, I am Atiya, I am putting together this fundraiser on behalf of my brother Abdulrahman who wrote this story for you.
My name is Abdulrahman, and I'm reaching out to you from Gaza, Palestine. At 23 years old, my life has been a journey filled with unimaginable challenges and resilient hope. Today, I'm compelled to share my story with you, hoping for your generosity and support during this critical time.
Amid conflict, my family and I, like many others in Gaza, were compelled to flee our home in Khanyounes. For four months, we sought refuge in Rafah, grappling with the harsh realities of displacement amidst turmoil and uncertainty. However, my personal struggles extend beyond the ravages of war.
My Journey
Six years ago in 2018, I was struck by a bullet by IOF, leaving me paralyzed from the waist down. My journey of suffering started on that day as I traveled to Egypt and Turkey for the sake of treatment. Since then, I've endured countless surgeries and medical procedures, fighting tirelessly to reclaim some sense of normalcy. I had to undergo surgeries for my back, lungs, and legs to hide my leg ulcers, as well as surgery for the bladder to control the process of excretion control. At the end of the day, I am a young man who lost the hope of walking again and using a wheelchair in his daily life. I had to accept this reality, face the difficulties of life in my wheelchair, and rebuild my hopes and future again from point zero.
Despite the immense physical and emotional pain, I refused to succumb to despair. Determined to forge a future despite my disability, I pursued my education, earning a high school certificate and studying multimedia in Gaza, clinging to the hope of a better tomorrow.
Thanks to my family's support in helping me at every step of the way to heal, become stronger and achieve all of my dreams.
However, the recent escalation of violence on October 7th has once again upended my fragile existence. We lost our family home, and the deteriorating conditions in Gaza have exacerbated my health issues. Without access to adequate medical care and the threat of disease looming, my situation grows increasingly dire with each passing day because of the lack of medical attention and the spread of diseases around me. My leg ulcers started to appear again, and my legs and body started to get smaller because of the lack of training I used to do before.
My Family:
Let me tell you briefly about my 8 members family:
My father: Khaled, the hero, is a teacher in one of UNRWA schools.
My Mother: Asmahan, the epitome of compassion and resilience.
My brother: Atiya, the inspiration, English Literature graduate, and works in digital marketing.
My brother: Ahmed, the backbone, Law major graduate
My brother: Khalil, the friend, Optometry major graduate
My sister: Heba, the eternal kindness, Pharmacy major student.
My sister, Intesar, the little angel, a middle school student.
My family, like others in Gaza, lost their future and all their hopes and dreams, starting with our Family Home that my father spent 40 years saving up to build which is now a memory due to an airstrike. In addition to the vanished efforts and hard days that my brothers and sisters endured to complete their studies and educate themselves to be future leaders and establish their own lives.
We are still alive but for how long?
My family and I come to you humbly, seeking your assistance in relocating to Egypt, where I can access the medical attention and safety that is essential for my well-being. Also, my family can find a safer place to find hope again before a random rocket from an IOF warplane changes our lives forever.
The cost per person to be able to register with a travel company to leave Gaza via Rafah is 5,000 USD per adult.
We are 7 adults, as I mentioned above, totaling 35,000 USD to evacuate from Gaza.
Your contribution will not only help me but also my family, who have stood by me through every trial and tribulation.
With your support, I can embark with my family on a new chapter of our lives, free from the constant suffering and uncertainty that has plagued us for far too long. Your kindness has the power to transform despair into hope, pain into healing, and tragedy into triumph.
Please consider donating to my fundraiser and sharing my story with your networks. Together, we can make a difference and help us rebuild our lives.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion and generosity.
Warm regards,

Palestinians mourn relatives killed in Israeli bombardment, at the al-Najjar hospital in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, on April 29, 2024 amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Photo: By AFP via Getty Images
'This Is Who They Are Targeting': โ€œTerrorist, Fascist, War Criminal, Illegal Regime of The Zionist Isra-helli ๐Ÿ– ๐Ÿท ๐Ÿ– ๐Ÿ—โ€ Bombs Kill At Least 5 Children In Rafah
"This is Their Objective. This is the Generation They're Looking For. This is the Safe Rafah They Talk About," One Surviving Family Member Said.
โ€” The Intercept | By Olivia Rosane | April 29, 2024
Israeli airstrikes killed between 20 and 30 people in Rafah Sunday night, including at least five children.
Among the slain children was a one-year-old boy whose parents had been trying to have a child for 10 years before he was finally born.
"This is who they are targeting," the boy's uncle, Mahmoud Abu Taha, said in a video shot by CNN in the courtyard of Rafah's Abu Youssef al-Najjar Hospital. "This is their objective. This is the generation they're looking for. This is the safe Rafah they talk about."
"Nowhere is safe. The entire Gaza Strip is a target."
As Abu Taha spoke, he lifted the lifeless body of his nephew toward the camera.
"His name is Deif-Allah (meaning guest in Arabic) and he was indeed a guest," Abu Taha further toldReuters. "He came as a guest after (his parents) longed for (him) for so long, after 10 years."
"Ten people (were killed), the mother, her daughter, her granddaughters, her grandson, her son-in-law, their daughters and relatives, everyone. They're all gone, all 10 of them," Abu Taha added.
As the threat of a full-scale ground invasion of Rafah still looms, the Israeli Defense Forces have continued to regularly bomb Gaza's southernmost city, where more than 1.5 million Gazans have fled seeking relative safety from Israel's lethal assault on the enclave.
Airstrikes late Sunday into early Monday struck three homes, The Associated Press reported:
The first killed 11 people, including four siblings aged 9 to 27, according to records at the Abu Yousef al-Najjar Hospital, where the bodies were taken. The second strike killed eight people, including a 33-year-old father and his 5-day-old boy, according to hospital records. The third strike killed three siblings, aged 23, 19, and 12. An Associated Press reporter saw the bodies at the hospital.
According to the video shot by CNN, the name of the five-day-old boy was Ghaith Abu Rayya.
"We are all alone. Nobody cares about us," a man cried out in the video as he opened a small body bag show Abu Rayya's head. He said the rest of the infant's body had been destroyed by the bomb.
Another mourner at the hospital told CNN, "Nowhere is safe. The entire Gaza Strip is a target."
The AP calculated the final death toll from the Rafah bombings at 22, including five children and six women. Reuters reported that 30 were killed.
Israel also carried out deadly airstrikes in other parts of Gaza Sunday night. The IDF killed five people, including women and children, when it fired a missile at the Tartouri family home west of Gaza City, the International Middle East Media Center reported. Another missile hit the home of the Hijazi family south of Gaza City, killing two women.
Another person was killed by an IDF missile that hit a car in central Gaza, while the Palestinian Civil Defense teams discovered 13 bodies amid the ruins of bombed homes in Khan Younis' Al-Amal neighborhood.
All told, the Gaza Health Ministry announced Monday that Israel had carried out three massacres against Gazan families in the last 24 hours, killing 34 and wounding 68. This brings the total death toll from Israel's assault on the Gaza Strip to at least 34,488, though that is likely an undercount as many remain buried beneath rubble and Israel has besieged and bombarded several hospitals, damaging or destroying nearly 84% of the strip's healthcare facilities and making record keeping more difficult.
Israel's devastating campaign in the Gaza Strip began in October 7 in response to Hamas' deadly attack on Southern Israel that killed approximately 1,100 and saw around 240 taken hostage. Prior to October 7, Israel had blockaded Gaza for 16 years and occupied the Palestinian West Bank for 56 years.
Sunday's bombings came as cease-fire talks between Israel and Hamas are set to restart Monday, with Egypt hosting Hamas leaders to facilitate the discussion.
"We are hopeful the proposal has taken into account the positions of both sides, has tried to extract moderation from both sides, and we are waiting to have a final decision," Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said at a World Economic Forum meeting on Monday.
In a recent piece published online, Hebrew University Holocaust and genocide scholar Amos Goldberg added his voice to the growing number of human rights and international law experts who have labeled Israel's actions in Gaza a genocide.
"What is happening in Gaza is genocide because the level and pace of indiscriminate killing, destruction, mass expulsions, displacement, famine, executions, the wiping out of cultural and religious institutions, the crushing of elites (including the killing of journalists), and the sweeping dehumanization of the Palestiniansโ€”create an overall picture of genocide, of a deliberate conscious crushing of Palestinian existence in Gaza," Goldberg wrote in the essay published in translation on Medium.

Two Hundred Days!
โ€” 23 April, 2024 | CodePink | By Moataz "Taz" Salim
Tumblr media
For generations we have endured the oppressor that seeks to crush our spirits and steal our homeland. Yet still our resolve has not wavered, nor our song of liberation been stilled.
For too long Gaza has suffered, unwillingly, due to the settler-colonial entity. Our land has been watered, for over 75 years, with the innocent tears and blood of my people. For over 75 years, we have been carried by an unyielding spirit of resistance that courses through our veins.
In 200 days, 161 of my own blood have been taken from us, 161 of over 40,000 that we know of. 40k too many. While the fools over here debate โ€œsafetyโ€ on campus, every educational institution in my homeland has been destroyed.
"In 200 days, 161 of my own blood have been taken from us, 161 of over 40,000 that we know of. 40k too many. While the fools over here debate "safety" on campus, every educational institution in my homeland has been destroyed."
I recall vividly, in my childhood, being glued to the television in terror as our lands and people are massacred yet again. Thousands โ€œmowed downโ€ like stalks of wheat before the mechanical reaperโ€™s blade. Yet still the nations and the people turned their eyes away. They slept while Gaza wept. No more will we accept this status quo of suffering in silent submission. Our time of waking has come โ€” the fire in our souls will not be quenched.
Never again shall tyranny hold dominion over this sacred ground. Our song of liberation shall ring forth until we sing it in Jenin, in Tulkarem, in Ramallah, in Al-Quds, in Yaffa, in Al-Lydd, and in Gaza. Free Palestine. ๐Ÿ‰

How the absolute fuck am I supposed to continue acting like there isn't a genocide happening?
How the hell am I supposed to continue being a "normal" student? Especially since I am so close to snapping at others for saying shit like "They deserve it, they're all terrorists anyways"? And especially since none of the politicians I'm "supposed" to be supporting aren't doing shit for the Palestinians?
