this is a super indulgent murdoc niccals/disabled!gn!reader, in second person POV. it's an extremely rough draft, it's unfinished, and petnames are used a disgusting amount. enjoy?

“Hey, Brainache, you up yet?” You groaned and rolled over, burying your face into your pillow. It smelled like cigarettes and that awful beer that Murdoc liked so much. It was kind of gross, but you were used to it at this point. You felt the bed dip as Murdoc sat down, and his sharp nails gently dragged across your arm.

‘C’mon, love, you’re gonna be late for work.” You turned again to look at him and raised an eyebrow.

“Since when do you care about that?” His eyes widened for a moment, but he seemed to gather his composure quickly.

“What are you on about? I don’t.” His red ears said otherwise.

“...Right,” You sat up and swung your legs over the bed, dropping a kiss on Murdoc’s head as you stood up. “Thank you, Mudz.” You pretended not to see the love-struck look on his face as you dragged yourself into the bathroom to brush your teeth. Murdoc came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and (with difficulty) resting his chin on your shoulder.

“G’mornin’ Brainache.”

“Morning, baby. You feelin’ better?” Murdoc nuzzled his face into your neck with a groan. You took that as a no. Gently coaxing him off of your back so that he was instead huddled into your side, you put your toothbrush down and brushed his hair out of his face.

 “Wow, you look like shit.” He scowled up at your shit-eating grin, and your face softened a bit. The bags under his eyes were worse than usual. “Mudz, baby, why didn’t you wake me up? You know I don’t like leaving you alone like this.”

“Eh. ‘Was fine.” You sighed. He wasn’t fine, and you both knew it. You grabbed your cane and lead him into the kitchen, pushing him into a chair. If he’s not going to sleep, he’s going to eat. You opened the fridge. Mustard, pickles, a crap ton of beer, and an almost-empty milk jug. You made a mental note to stop at Tesco and grabbed the carton of eggs. 2 left. Good enough.

“Murdoc, honey, can you call Russ for me? Let him know we’re not coming in today.”

“Wait, wha? Brainache, I told you, I’m fine. Go to work.” You rolled your eyes and turned around, grabbing his chin and shoving a forkful of eggs in his mouth. 

“No one’s going anywhere until you’ve eaten, showered, and rested. Am I clear?” He finished chewing, and you made a face when he belched.

“Crystal.”
