            after  taking  some  time  to  look  around  for  the  a  backdoor  or  something,  she'd  asked  one  of  the  hotel  employees  whether  they  could  point  her  to  a  discreet  exit  or  some  other  place  she  might  have  a  smoke.  they  had  pointed  her  towards  this  little  balcony  she  was  standing  at  now,  the  words  being  spoken  at  the  event  nothing  but  muffled  background  noise  now.  taking  a  deep  drag  from  the  cigarette  in  her  hand,  she  watched  the  smoke  disappear  in  the  air.  it  was  still  a  bit  cold  to  be  standing  outside  like  this,  only  in  the  dress  she  was  wearing  for  the  gala  that  left  the  entirety  of  her  arms  uncovered,  but  it  was  worth  the  reprieve.  a  noise  ripped  her  from  her  thoughts  and  she  turned  her  head  to  see  another  person  stepping  outside  onto  the  balcony.  "  couldn't  bear  it  anymore  either ?   are  they  still  collectively  praising  each  other  in  there  ?   these  things  are  always  one  giant  circle  jerk. "
