What type of MC do you enjoy playing?

Honestly, I feel a bit awkward posting this. When I first started writing this game, I decided that I wouldn't go out of my way to ask this question, if only because I was worried about the answers impacting the writing process in some way.

Still, now that I've gotten pretty far into what is going to be the "initial demo", I've started to wonder what types of characters people are actually going to look forward to playing. I personally tend to just do multiple routes with multiple OCs and don't particularly care what options aren't/are available.

I know that not everyone is like that though, so I thought it would be best to get a good understanding of what options I should focus on (or add if they're not already there), if only so I don't have to go back and rewrite/add a bunch of stuff later on.

So, what type of MC do you enjoy playing? Is there a specific type that you are wanting to play in this game? Specific relationship dynamics that you are wanting?

This is such a wonderful questions! I am admittedly a bit biased because this is how I sleep...

For the most part, Astoria is a pretty cuddly person so she would really enjoy having MC cling onto her during the night. The only issues would be the heat during the summer (she runs pretty hot) and having to get up early for work. She'd probably end up making an internal multi-step plan that will allow her to slip out of bed while also make sure MC is still sleeping comfortably!

Shockingly, Caspian would probably handle this type of MC the best, despite his overall shitty sleeping habits. He's used to sharing a bed with Oliver (who gets pretty severe night terrors) and isn't exactly phased by someone being in his space. Also, depending on his past dynamic with MC, he might already be used to sharing a bed with them (in a platonic sense ofc). If he had to get up for any reason, he probably wouldn't feel too bad about it and would probably just murmur a quick "gotta get up for a sec, darlin'" before moving.

No. Absolutely not. Unstoppable force has met the unmovable object. Solaine would despise sharing a bed with this type of MC (at least for a while haha). They're a very light sleeper and practically any touch will wake them up - so let's hope for MC's sake that they go to bed before Solaine does. I think they'd get used to it after a while but only because they've realized that they can just shove MC away instead of staring at the ceiling all night.

I feel like Maeve would be ambivalent/neutral on this? She wouldn't love it necessarily (she's the type that gets up out of bed during the night when she can't sleep) but she wouldn't loathe it either. Her and Jasper used to bunk together when they were younger and he's also a pretty clingy sleeper, so she does have some experience dealing with it! Whether or not she decides to just put up with it for the night or will just shove MC off really depends on her mood at the time.

Pot meet Kettle. In all seriousness though, Jasper is the exact same way, so he'd really love an MC like this! Honestly, the real concern isn't if it would bother him - it's if he would be willing to get up out of bed in the morning when he knows he could just sleep in and cuddle with MC. This might honestly end up being more of a problem for them compared to having different sleeping habits haha.

   The whole thing had really started out as an idea on both of their parts. Gabriel had heard Emanuel mention how much he wanted to go on a picnic and thus, the plan took action. So he took Manny’s hand and guided him to the nearest state park, where he’d already had everything set up and arranged, mostly by himself but the rest with a little help. The picnic spread was lovely, a checkered blanket and everything and the basket was full of local goodies that he’d ordered throughout town. The candles might be a bit much, but as it was starting to become twilight, he didn’t think that it was that big of a deal. “Please, have a seat,” Gabriel said, gesturing to the plush but firm enough pillows laid out for them to lean against. What was even better, he’d managed to make sure that this area wouldn’t be disturbed, it helped that he had guard nearby to make sure that happened. Then again, they would have done so without him needing to even ask it. Gabe took a seat next and asked, “Well, what do you think?”
