Reverse AU: The Good Guys

Fiona is the Ladybug for this AU. Haven't come up with a name for her yet.

Blake is the Chat Noir for this AU. Also doesn't have a hero name yet.

They stay platonic though. Fiona's still got something going on with Keagan. While Blake sees Fiona as even more like a sister to him since he got separated from Blair and Fiona is the most sister coded person he's stuck with for prolonged periods of time.

It doesn't help that they started off as a team of four with the Aurelio cousins dropping in as an akuma and as a Butterfly rather than as a duo, so their relationship never got to be as intimate as ShizuBlair's version of the LadyNoir partnership.

Keagan is still kind of an investigative reporter. However, there's now more emphasis on him being the rich mayor's son. He pretends to be a dumb hedonistic party guy with no talent for fencing. Little do the Supreme know, he's Lorelei's go-to combat akuma and is a hacker for the Resistance.

Lorelei is the big good, current head of the Resistance. She descended from a long line of people running the Resistance, all the way back to Adrinette.

Initially, it was just her, a few of her friends (her husband who died so she could escape with her secrets, Mrs. Liung and grandma Hisui), her son Leo, and her nephew Keagan who found a way to contact them discreetly.

Fiona joined in, lead to the group by Keagan. Keagan was initially just trying to convince Fiona to stay away from certain people so her family doesn't get pocketed by the Supreme (like his is) or worse, recruit her (like a certain bodyguard keeping tabs on him). He's doing what he could to prevent the Supreme from getting any more powerful.

But one thing led to another and Lorelei decides this girl had what it takes to be the next Ladybug (instead of her son, whom she'd rather stay safe and away from the front lines as the next Butterfly).

Blake joined in a couple of years before Fiona. Its cause he overheard Mrs. Liung talking to Lorelei, who can't get in contact with the rising model Blair. They can't reach her no matter how many strings they pulled, which is really saying something as one was a former celebrity and the other is the mayor's sister-in-law. They suspect the Supreme had something to do with it. This is why Blake joined the Resistance.

Mrs. Liung couldn't talk him out beyond getting trained first before jumping into the field. There's that and the Supreme tried to get rid of them and framed it as the Resistance's doing, so now they had no choice but to fight back and hidevwith the resistance.

Mr. and Mrs. Crawford were also members of the Resistance until they got caught and were snuffed out... yeah, Blake has plenty of reasons to be angry at the Supreme here and its why he's a bigger grouch in this au than in the main mlb au.

Grandma Hisui (real name: Haruji Tate) was one of the kids the Resistance saved from the Supreme, hence, why the Turtle Miraculous is with them. She left her daughter behind in Japan thinking she'd be safe there. Little did she know, the Supreme had influence there too, through the Tsurugis.

Some people are helping the Resistance but not on a regular basis. The Hale Clinic patches them up during the period when they didn't have a Ladybug. The Guerreros were one of the few rich families who heeded their warning and saw how horrible a deal with the Supreme is. So in gratitude, they let them hide in their property owned by their real estate business. Talia and Damien, being from those families the resistance helped, helps them out whenever they could.

Vincent Liung may be the turtle in this AU, trained by Hisui.

That's about it on everyone actively supporting the Resistance for now.

some angel verse lorelei things pt.1 / ??

♦ she works in the heaven-equivalent of Human Resources ; as in, the various departments dedicated to guiding humans to live their best lives ! [ why yes i AM stealing the use of HR from a show of the same name, but replacing monsters with just angels, because we know nothing about angel career paths yet ! ]

♦ lorelei is the current head of the Romance Department, where she aids in humans finding their " special someone[s] " that they can share the rest of their happy lives with. she's up to date on the various sexualities and preferences.

♦ much like her demon self, lorelei is a hopeless romantic. despite this, she's only ever been in two long-term relationships : a childhood friend turned fiancé that, sadly, passed while they were young angels. her second love, a husband this time around, had also died a few years later under different circumstances. this has lead her to believe that True Love isn't for her, and she has stopped pursuing romantic relationships because of this.

Main.

A single mother and empty-nester, Lorelei owns and manages the same burlesque lounge she used to work for in her youth, Cherry Stems.

When not at work or making connections, she still somehow finds herself on semi-weekly misadventures. Her two minutes of kindness leave her prone to being pulled into strange situations, sometimes making unlikely friends or enemies in the process -- if you asked her kids, Lorelei is too welcoming and adventurous for her own good.

Main Alternate.

A verse where Blitzo confessed to his mother not long after his person had been purchased as entertainment for a nobleman's son, and Lorelei divorced Cash along with taking the kids. Since then, the children have been primarily raised in the Lust ring with the aid of her still-living grandfather while working her way up the financial ladder at Cherry Stems, making an occasional visit to Greed to support old friends of the now divided family.

The results of this change in upbringing can be ignored or further discussed with rp partners!

Overlord AU.

Head of the Romance Department of Human Resources, Lorelei is an angel of Virtue who is also a professional matchmaker. When not giving advice to her coworkers or worrying over the future of earth's population, the four-winged woman can be found volunteering her time with young souls who died too soon -- a program that eases them into their new afterlives.

For this verse, Lorelei is a former scream-queen turned professional horror-centric actress. A lover of the general arts, the hybrid found a particular love for the unsettling genre and the efforts put into it, and through the years has gone ascended from supporting background characters to the killers themselves ; she's also made the efforts to show that the succubi's monstrous forms can be just as entertaining to watch as their natural forms, though some feel she needs to leave the use of such "barbaric" forms in the past.

Ugh I'm so tempted to talk about all the U.mbrella A.cademy stuff I've plotted but at the same time I wanna write up to it all and reveal that way for once. What I will say tho, I've got 3 verses/timelines. One that works with the show, one for the U.mbrella A.cademy in general, and one for the S.parrow A.cademy in general. They each end up a bit different for Eira and so in line with things imo and I'm just so excited to write about it.

So if anyone else wants to hmu 👀

Something to ramble about tho... Let's talk about... Btw this is a good moment to realize I don’t have much in the way of AUs in the first place. T.U.A., mutant / M.C.U / etc., Band AU... Oo! I’ll talk about the meta-ish Actor AU! The next one I answer will be about the “reverse verse” type stuff.

So for the meta!Actor AU, as in the muses are actually just actors playing their characters, I’ve always kinda thought Eira and Aeron’s actors were cousins or something. You get sibling pairs directing / acting, so I just thought that’d be interesting and fun :3

I also picture Eira’s actress to be kinda snooty and dramatic. Probably be like “Oh my poor baby” about her character, but in a way that makes Eira sound helpless and pathetic rather than conflicted and desperate to be loved.

Aeron’s actor on the other hand is pretty mellow. Kind of generally A Chill Dude. Talks about his experience in exploring someone who is so fragile and scared that he pushes people away by being defensive and standoffish all the time. It’s exhausting and he hopes Aeron will chill out a little.

Oliver’s actor is a mix of the two, in the sense that he can give off that classic Tortured Male Writer vibe, talking about his character and wanting to make him complex and all. Not without making a few good points here and there though. He’s still A Nice Guy, occasionally even sweet, and people like him.

Lorelei’s actress is the sweetest and the silliest of them though. She doesn’t get much screen time but she still manages to hold up film shoots by being a goofball. Lovable and adorable. Given the kind of person her character is though, she tends to get the most inappropriate questions. Aeron’s actor will try to steal them when he’s around or she’ll work her way around it or keep it vague.

Tripp’s actor is surprisingly shy and quiet, and kinda awkward, but endearing, of course. He doesn’t have much screen time either. It’s also awkward because they have him around for interviews but he doesn’t really talk. Though rumor has it, he has a crush on one of the actresses so that’s sparking some fan discussion.

Last one for this set! It's my OC Keagan! Now this guy presented another challenge: hands. Because this style is supposed to keep line art to a minimum, I had to rely on shading to get his fingers detailed out. And of course, that spiky hair. It was tricky to figure out how it works. I need to map out his hair flow before I could render uuuugh.

Introducing the reverse world's closest thing to a Ladyblogger, Keagan Gerald Aurelio-Ashworth! Much like Reverse!Alya, he gets an undershave... and that's pretty much it. I guess the gold accessories and the sunglasses could be taken as a stronger referrence to Chloe as being the rich mayor's son has more emphasis in this AU. He's not exactly based on anyone from canon when he's like this, his design is based on making him as opposite to his og design as possible with very mild referrences to akumas and his og akuma form, Scorch, embracing the power the butterfly grants him rather than being averse to it. He's not exactly a reporter, he hangs around the upper echelons of society hence the semi-formal design instead of his og counterpart's more down to earth casual wear. Next to Fiona, he's like the second most altered compared to how he normally looks.

Why is he like this?

The short answer, it's cause the Supreme has his family under their thumb.

It started with a bad deal, his uncle died trying to dig their family out of it, his aunt Lorelei and cousin Leo ran off, and being overprotective with what family he had left, Mayor Julio Aurelio had Keagan locked up in their castle for his safety... And now what's left of the Aurelio-Ashworth Family are stuck under the Supreme's thumb. They're a political puppet and a goldmine rolled into one.

Keagan is not the sort to keep his head down. He's aware of what's happening, try as his family might to hide it from him. He still developed his hacking skills and had eyes and ears everywhere. He knows how fucked they are. For the longest time, Keagan felt so untrusting of everyone new... Never know if one of those people are under the Supreme's influence. He's heard they're eyeing him and his elder sister for their potential in wielding a Miraculous, and he's seen what happens to underage wielders after a while. Their life expectancies aren't that great, but that's why they use kids for it. They're easier to control. Sooner or later, it'll be Keagan's turn. Try as he might to find a way out, he couldn't find any. The most he could do was disrupt whatever dealings he could find - honestly, he doesn't want the same thing that happened to his family happen to anyone else. He was a minor annoyance at best. For the longest time, he felt trapped.

Then one day, his cousin reached out to him through a butterfly that landed on his watch. He wants him to join the Resistance as an insider. Through butterflies, Keagan can relay what he learns of the Supreme and in emergencies, they can either give him the power to transform or call out for a hero to save him. All he has to do is continue to play the fool and keep his ears up. His cousin heard his rep, the hedonistic party prince. While it wasn't a complete lie, he fools around to forget he's in deep shit, it wasn't the quite true either. It was the easiest way for him to be as disruptive as possible. But now, with his cousin as his life line, Keagan went from a minor annoyance to a potential back door for the Resistance. There's finally some hope he can pull him and his family out from under the Supreme's thumb.

Eventually, he met her.

He didn't think much of her at first, just another rich girl from new money. She's pretty fairy tale princess cute, he'd give her that. Her father was desperately trying to climb the social ladder... And was gonna fall for the Supreme's scam. As expected, they were hella annoyed with his interruptions but what else could he do to save them? Keagan knows this isn't necessary, when there's more effective ways to put a middle finger up at the Supreme, but he can't help it. Keagan just had to save them, even if neither of them would see it that way.

The girl was persistent. To Keagan's genuine surprise, she wasn't chasing him cause she's mad at him, she was following him to warn him that the Supreme goons are gonna mess with him for disrupting one too many deals that night. Aww. He's touched. Really. That's why he was covering her head with his jacket so the Supreme wouldn't target her too. He hopes his cousin heard all that and sends someone to save their butts.

That night was also the first night he properly met the Resistance. To his surprise, his aunt Lorelei decided to let the girl be the new Ladybug. If anyone asked him, he wasn't too thrilled about it. This girl had nothing to do with the Supreme nor the Resistance. She could've been free... much like he wished he was. Yet she chose to wear the earrings.

Contrary to his expectations, this is where the girl truly blossomed. The pretty princess turned out to be more of a knight in shining armor. Maybe she could save him.

This week on my Reverse AU OC portrait series, I'm using Blake to study how to do leather. Leather is such a complicated material to work with, its supposed to be so reflective hence the more intense highlights in his jacket compared to how I did Shizuke's black shirt and Blair's romper. There's also the contrast in rendering black fur compared to Blair's white fur coat. Rendering black in general is a whole different thought excersise compared to the whites on Shizuke and Blair.

Introducing the black cat for my OC's reverse AU, Blake Crawford! Compared to Blair's ring, his silver ring has an orangey tint, a referrence to how he's the fox in the original timeline. The inspiration to tie his hair back is from Attack on Titan's Eren, for the depressing edgyness. Unlike Fiona who's design took some cues from Ladybugs (Marinette and Bridgette), Blake's inner clothes is based on Nathanael's akuma form, Evillustrator. It's cause his original design takes cues from Nathanael. The reason for the aversion to referrencing Adrien and/or Felix is, other than their outfits just aren't very edgy emo, it's to signal he isn't supposed to be seen as a love interest for his Ladybug partner. I wanted there to be something of a hint with his role despite being the black cat. Instead of paralleling Fiona, his outfit parallel's Blair's more. The black fur lining and an oversized black jacket, the white (light gray) shirt underneath, the way his hair is parted, the stripes, the round details... I picked him to be the black cat so he can be more active with his arc where he's looking for his sister.

Why are the twins separated?

Much like in the original, he and Blair lost their parents and got separated because of the foster system. Blair ended up with their abusive relatives while Blake ended up with the Liungs... except they never got Blair back. It's too late by the time they found out those relatives sold Blair off to the Supreme.

Blake tried everything he could to reach his sister but the Supreme blocked him every time - she's their newest little child soldier, they still had use for her. Eventually, there was an attempt on his and the Liungs' lives. The only reason they survived was because the Resistance saved them.

There, Blake learned everything. His parents and the Liungs were members of the Resistance. Mrs. Liung, the only one left alive, stayed in contact with the Resistance despite semi retiring to focus on helping him get Blair back - it's the least she could've done for her fallen friends and husband. Yet they can't reach her no matter how many strings they pulled, which is really saying something as Mrs. Liung was a former celebrity and her strongest string is the Resistance Leader, Lorelei, who is the mayor's sister-in-law. They suspect the Supreme had something to do with it.

So to tally, the Supreme has: killed his parents, killed Mr. Liung, abducted his sister, tried to get him and the Liungs killed... Blake has plenty to be mad about. This is why Blake joined the Resistance.

At first, Blake was obsessed with taking down the Supreme for taking everything from him. He fought them from the shadows. He takes out his anger on their goons for getting in his way. It doesn't matter what they throw at him, he will destroy them all... This went on for years.

But alas, Blake is still young. After years of fighting the Supreme, things are looking more and more futile. He grew tired, both emotionally and physically. He was always fighting, always hiding, making sure the Supreme doesn't catch wind of both Blake surviving or the new black cat on the prowl... the stalemate was taking its toll on him. Nothing seems to be changing.

That is until Keagan brought a girl to their base.

It was a mistake, the fallen prince said. But Lorelei saw something in the girl and declared her the new Ladybug, his partner. The time to fight in the light has come.

Not long after this, the Supreme called in reinforcements to crush the Resistance. First was the infamous Ox-wielding Miraculous hunter they've imported from Japan. Second was their shiny new-bee who's brimming with potential... Blake's sister.

Thinking about the Reverse AU again. If this au pulls a Paris Special and Blake!cat and Fuyu!bug meets my usual au with Blair!cat and Shizu!bug, there's gonna be a lot of awkwardness during and after the special.

If they already know the Supreme side's bee is Blair, seeing a heroic but still cocky Blair!cat is gonna be weird.

If they don't, I guess the reverse side will think Blake is a girl in this au... and that his twin sister also got genderbent.

I mean, the most obvious answer is a mass kwami swap but I just think this is funnier.

Considering the mass kwami swaps, none of them think any reveals are gonna matter... so prime world's heroes didn't blink upon learning Lorelei is the butterfly wielding head of the Resistance. If their counterparts aren't weilding the same Miraculous in the other universe, then Lorelei probably doesn't either. Plot twist: she does.

Fiona is disappointed her prime world self is not a Miraculous wielder.

Both Blake and Fiona are wondering who tf is this universe's bug. Neither met Shizuke... outside of his ox villain form complete with a helmet that covered his entire face. Plot twist for them if they ever see their enemy's face.

They both considered looking for and recruiting their world's equivalent of Shizuke and Blair, maybe not knowing one or both are with the Supreme. Again, joke's on them.

Prime world's Leo being an asshole is gonna freak them out cause their Leo is like an older bro to them as the son of the current head of the Resistance, Lorelei.

Keagan being more openly on the heroes' side... Fiona wants to believe this is a sign that says Leo was right to trust his cousin. Their Keagan is playing double agent, with the Supreme holding his family on a chokehold and Keagan himself secretly staying in contact with Leo.

Natalia either being single or dating Blake is gonna do funny things to Blake!cat's poor heart - he's resigned to forever being just a friend cause his world's Natalia is still dating his world's Leo, who is not an asshole.

Natalia in the bee suit does funny things to Blake's poor heart too. The Natalia from his universe doesn't have a Miraculous.

Damien is still the most normal person ever. That's a relief. He just got an upgrade as a turtle hero.

If Shizu!ox crossed dimmensions too, then he will cry seeing Grandma is alive in this world. Will cry harder learning his parents here are merely an ocean away instead of ten feet under.

Shizu!ox will be so jealous of Shizu!bug's life in general.

Blair!bee is jealous that her prime world self got to at least stay with her Blake. She got separated from her twin, which turns out to be part of the Supreme's machinations to gather children with strong affinities for wielding Miraculous. Orphans with nowhere to go are easy targets.

... actually, I think only Fuyu!bug has nothing to be jealous of her prime self. Prime Fuyu will be jealous of reverse world's Fuyu!bug if anything.
