The blk Eren fic thing is so true tho. Not just because of how Eren is written but also because of how Reader is always a super specific type of thicc, ig baddie, hood bitch. As someone who agrees with your take on the black eren thing I feel terrible because I follow like 3 people that do it but they take it way to far. Like “ma” “mama” they over here with “uzis” selling weed…like first of all onya is RIGHT there. Second of all it’s just corny as hell. The exaggeration is crazy. Idk why they are mad tbh. Acting like other black people cant critique it. The whole point of fanfics is keeping the character the character with minor changes (for example, maybe you like a villain and you make them a little nicer than they are in the media they are in) I felt bad for saying stuff like this but I genuinely cannot stand that type of writing as a black person. EXACTLY! i am also black i don't mind when people make certain characters use aave in fics because i do it sometimes because i think its funny. ( i.e the use of aave in my navi intro for manjiro ) but sometimes they take it to far. they make aave the whole entire character or they make them so ooc. and the connie ones have it worse than eren ngl 🙊 i'm sorry but i've been an aot fan for years i just don't see it 😭 stoner eren who smokes weed? yeah def i see it but the dragging of aave is so erm...
