a humorless chuckle escapes him as he gazes at her . they are so close together he can feel her breath hit his cheek . how can she not see just how badly he wants her . . . wants this ? silly girl . ' of course I could peyton . ' he wishes - as he has before - that things weren't so damn complicated in his life . that he could be the type of guy she really needs . ' but . . . I have jenny . and you know that makes everything difficult . ' he wouldn't give up his daughter for the world but he wishes he were a normal teenager sometimes . one with normal teenage drama that didn't force him to make life - altering decisions .
