Takes place anywhere between his first and third years of high school. Sakusa is a social recluse through and through; he keeps to himself and doesn't engage in social situations without good reason or considerable peer pressure. This directly contradicts his zeal for volleyball, but that stems more from a desire to "finish what he started" than any particular appreciation for the social aspects of the sport.

College

Sakusa is studying for his Ph.D in microbiology, a subject that's fascinated him since he was a child. His germophobic nature has made him all the more aware of the microscopic organisms that exist on and in every square inch of the world and he would prefer to become intimate with them in a sanitary, controlled environment where he can observe and manipulate their behaviours as he pleases.

Royalty

The prince to a kingdom (albeit small), Sakusa is used to all things lavish and grand. He's used to being waited on hand and foot, used to having three fresh, square meals a day ready and waiting for him, used to being followed by an entourage of guards wherever he went. It's enough to drive a man mad. Typically, he's quite the fan of routine, but the routine of his whole life has turned into a dreadful monotone he can't escape. He seeks excitement, something worthwhile that isn't preaching pretty, hypocritical words to his subjects while all but spitting in their faces behind closed doors. He wants to accomplish something in his own right rather than have everything he could possibly ask for handed to him.

Vampyre

Sakusa is what's known as a "True Vampyre", one who was possessed by a daemon to become the creature he is now, rather than infected by hellish energy passed along by such creatures. When Sakusa’s daemonic nature slips out, his eyes fill with pitch black, his teeth grow into deadly razors, and his fingernails elongate into sharp, black claws. In homage to his daemonic origins, he also gains small black, horn-like spikes around the edges of his face and thin black scales are scattered across his skin.

Fey’ri

Sakusa was raised in a fey’ri colony on the outskirts of a kingdom and still lives within that kingdom to this day under the guise of a simple elf with slightly more sinister tendencies than his elven cousins. He harbours a bone-deep hatred for elvenkind due to his upbringing. He disguises himself as a sun elf with typical, inconscpicuous features belonging to that of a high elf. He uses his superficial beauty to seduce his way through elven nobility, landing himself in a pretty spot as a scholar along the way. He's learned the ways of the bladesinger and takes to performing with his skills to gain access to courts that are otherwise heavily guarded and assassinate the royals therein.

Greek Mythos

Sakusa is the son of Nyx, the primordial goddess of the night. He possesses the ability to manipulate shadows and travel through them a short distance, camouflaging himself in the process, as well as see clearly even in total darkness. These affinities are particularly useful for avoiding unwelcome social interactions, but they also make him an invaluable source of information.
