The songs are songs that I associate with them. Made in Canva. I also have the versions without text and will happily give those to anyone who asks.

And he pushed the cup towards her, watching her from over his sunglasses. There was something... Off. He felt. Something that alerted his whole body, like something was wrong. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he new it was something to do with her soul. Or... Some soul. He wondered if she had two and that was what was triggering him. She somehow felt like the antithesis of what he did as an angel.

"So where ya from?" He prodded, trying to get a read on her. "Definitely not from Shibuya. You here for business or pleasure?"

Hanekoma flinched as he was slammed hard into the wall and a shudder ran up along his spine. It was harder than he would have expected, even given what they were doing. A light sparring match was very quickly going downhill, spiraling into something much more serious. He had intended on keeping his human form for this, but as he recoiled from the force of his contact with the wall, as he tried to regain proper sight from the bleary film caused by the hit to his skull, Hanekoma realized he had no choice but to turn. Because coming towards him now was not a man, but a beast.

Something had gone wrong somewhere. Something had snapped inside his sparring partner, and now the black lion was sprinting at him full force, and he was sure he would be erased if he didn’t take action. And so Hanekoma spread his wings, shuddered into the UG and summoned his noise form. He split just in time to allow his own lion to take the brunt of the force, though it was still pinned. The tiger slipped away, however, and began summoning shadows from afar to handle the damage control to the best of its ability. Hanekoma had narrowly missed a second death, but he was prepared now and certain he could reign in Minamimoto just as soon as he could get out from under him.

“Hey!” he roared behind the shield of his arms. “Settle down! This isn’t that kinda fight, Felidae!”

Hanekoma shot the other a broad grin, a threat lying under the thin veil of friendliness he was putting on, "Got an itchy trigger finger, boss? I'd leave all that tantrum stuff to when you get outta Shibuya. Wouldn't wanna scare the locals, ya know. So how's about ya calm down and tell me what exactly it is ya want."

This guy had come in with all the flourish of an otherworldly creature that was unused to the life of people not knowing what he was. And he'd caused a minor disaster, though it had come and gone so quickly that most people were more confused than afraid, and it seemed even the guest himself hadn't realized what he did. Hanekoma was going to let it slide this time, but he was making his threat clear.

Shit. Shit, no not now. Not yet. He still hadn’t gotten what he came here for. He still hadn’t reached the conclusion he wanted to. (But was there a part of him that was grateful? A part that was sighing in relief he hadn’t gone as far as he was just about to?) He tried to hazard a smile as he turned back to Api, and he had never come into this universe looking quite so unhinged. Hair mussed, eyes a little too wide, a bit grimy from the work he had been doing in that dank old building. And everything in his body was telling him to run or fight, just don’t stand there. 

But no. No. He hadn’t gotten what he’d come for yet. He would lose any ounce of credentials he had if he bowed his head here, even if it was Ancestor. It was fine. He knew this was going to happen. He’d just have to get Api out of his hair. Say a few smart lines before dipping off, and then he could try again later. Do better next time. But he didn’t want to give this up until Joshua stopped torturing him so much. (And maybe next time he wouldn’t have to go so far...)

It was just a leg injury. He’d fought with a leg injury before. He was good about putting his pain away for his life’s sake. He could do this.

“Ancestor,” he called, in a tone that sounded like a warning. “Don’t get involved with this. This isn’t your business. It’s between me an’ Queenie, so just step off, okay? We’re not done here.”

"Absolutely." This was something that blossomed in Hanekoma's chest like a fire. This particular topic he felt incredibly strongly about. "Creativity and imagination are exactly what my city runs on, Hinotori. People live and create and love help innovate and bring change. When we have souls pass through our death game, we reward the most creative with reincarnation. They go back and help push the city and the souls within to greater heights. As long as we can hold on to the act of creation, and the imagination within ourselves, we will always grow and build ourselves up."

And that was just talking business. That wasn't even considering his own endearment to the act. The way it felt to create and to change the world around him one piece at a time. There was something wonderful and creation, and he never wanted to see the day that was taken away from him.

"But don't tell me you've been struggling with that?" Tone more serious now, if only a little bit. "You're not losin' your spark, are ya?"

The vernacular Hanekoma is picking up on gives him an idea of who he's hearing right now, but he doesn't make much comment on it. Instead he props his hand on his chin and thinks over a good response for those words coming from anyone.

"Aaaah, I'm glad to hear it. And I would be inclined to say yes. I love making friends, boss. I'd be happy if you wanted to be a close friend'a mine. It would make me feel really good, actually. And whoever ya are, I really look forward to getting to know you, too."

{Cut for length, but TLDR: I tried to make them myself and failed, but I now have irl fc icons! So if you use irl fc muses, I can now rp with you without breaking your aesthetic!}

{Anyway, I'm sure a lot of you have noticed, but... I have an irl faceclaim now!!! It took me a super long time because I... really wanted to just make my own. And I struggled. God did I struggle. To even find a place to watch stuff and get scs in the first place, much less make stuff, but!!!}

{Look at this. Look at it. It's barely legible at all. And I really wanted to use Yutaka Takenouchi as opposed to Hiroyuki Sanada because: }

{But just, literally every source I could find for watching the movies/dramas/etc. that he starred in were all really fuzzy and low quality with like, 4 pixels to their name. Which resulted in really terrible icons! And the HaNEKOma Cait Sith icons are already muddy like that, so I really didn't want his live action icons to be the same! I don't know how you guys do it, people who use actor faceclaims! I do not know how you get anything to look even remotely crisp!}

{I eventually settled with the fact that I was just a little out of my depth on this one and tried to look up some pre-made, free-to-use icons, but... But Takenouchi just doesn't have any. Not that I could find anyway, maybe I don't know how the search system for something like this works, either. I had the still icons for Sanada already from a friend that had sent them to me, but I went looking for more and got the gifs from a very talented gifmaker. So yeah. This is what I have. OTL Maybe one day I will understand how all of this works...}

So I figured, if the lack of consistency in our icon styles was what was holding you back from rping with me, I wanted to do whatever I could to accommodate, and now I finally can do this thing without breaking your aesthetic! I'm really hoping this can open the doors for our muses, and I cannot wait to write with you all!}
