β€ @oracle-venus asked:
β I prefer to be unsociable and taciturn. β (( From Draco ))
ββββI would never have guessed.β Hermione responds with a huff and a roll of her eyes. He was like that when he first entered the Great Hall with the other Durmstrang students, not making much eye contact with anyone, not really involved in too much conversation, either. Most of the time, he was translating for Viktor Krum, who had taken a shine to her, it'd seem. Harry and Ron were going nuts when he entered the room, but when Draco Malfoy walked in... admittedly, Hermione's intrigue clearly wasn't on Viktor. She'd never say that out loud, though; it would've earned some absurd comment from Ron, surely.
βββHermione knew he was rather fed up with being Viktor's translator, his silent huffs and eye rolls of irritation were easy enough to spot. Viktor was lovely, and he was nothing but a gentleman toward her, but she did feel a bit bad for Draco in some sense. Even if he was a bit of a ponce about it when Viktor's back was turned.
βββHer brow raised toward the platinum blonde wizard, βIf you're as unsociable as you claim, then why are you here talking to me?β Her head tilted, curls bouncing to the side. It sounded as if she didn't want his company, but honestly? She was just interested. Unsociable, but willing to actually speak to her. Interesting, as she thought. βAre your schoolmates not as entertaining?β

‷ ACCEPTING •
β€ @shadowedvales asked:
β Hmmm. Could you read it again? β
ββThe pair were in a quiet section of the library, reviewing one of Jane's assignments from some of her classes. Hermione, being Jane's self-appointed tutor, friend and fellow Gryffindor, the older sister, took it upon herself to bring some books that'd help. To most people, these books would be a bore to read, but to Hermione, this was her whole life. Jane was paying plenty of attention, but they'd been here for a good hour or so, if not longer, so she couldn't blame her if she was a bit tired.
βββFor your Potions assignment,β She repeated, βIt seems you'll be doing a Calming Draught. So, to reiterate the ingredients, you'll need,β She took a breath before she began to list, βLavender, Crocodile heart and peppermint.β She read out fluently, glancing to her Potions textbook from her own classes. Obviously this was a simpler potion, but the ingredients were key to remember. Neville often got them mixed up, and Ron & Harry tended to add too much or too little of the ingredients, so she wanted to make sure Jane was prepared. βSnape will be watching carefully, so you want to absolutely make sure that you get the measurements and amounts correct, and the method to add them, whether the need dicing or slicing.β She spoke, glancing to the girl before down at the textbook, making extra notes on the loose sheet of parchment with all the little things Jane would need to be SURE her potion would go successfully. βBelieve me, he'll notice if something isn't right.β She finished finally, sliding the piece of parchment over for the girl to look over.
βββHe's gone quite easy on you for this, since it's just simply revising the recipe itself... there's no guarantee he'll do the same next time.β

β€ @oracle-venus asked:
β I still cannot believe what he said about you. β (( from Harry ))
βββIt wasn't what he said that bothered Hermione. No, it was how he said it. He not being Harry, however. No, Ronald dismissed her, yet again, thinking that he knew he was correct. They'd had another little spat, and Ron decided to use some nasty words against her; and then using Lavender Brown as some sort of weapon against her, arguing that she was better looking, more feminine and just overall not her. He didn't mean itβshe knew that. He tended to use the first words that popped into his head when it came to heated arguments, he never really meant them... but it didn't mean it didn't hurt.
βββBecause it did. Every word stung. And poor Harry, he had to witness all of it.
ββββIt's a good job I stopped fancying him then, isn't it?β Her words came out harshly, but not directed toward the wizard beside her. The girl sighed, a hand wiping down her to attempt to relieve some tension. βI'm sorry, Harry. That you had to be caught in that.β Another one, rather.

β€ @progenyofprongs asked:
i thought you knew everything.
ββββI know a lot of things, but certainly not everything.β She responded primly, holding back her agitation. That was something that a lot of people liked to assume about her, that she was some walking, talking encyclopedia. Which, in turn, was true, but on the other handβwhy would she need to be taught things? If she knew everything, being taught things would deem useless and she wouldn't get a thrill out of it.
βββShe does, however. Hermione loves attending each and every class that she can, absorbing every word a professor speaks as if she was a sponge.
βββHermione huffs, βI don't know why people keep saying that when it clearly isn't true.β

β§ dialogue : jealousy β
β€ @stillsails asked:
βthey donβt look at you like a friend.β (from sebastian)
βββWho? You mean Ron and Harry?β Hermione questioned, giving him a questioning look before turning to her two friends, who were just glaring over at them. Probably for talking to a Slytherin, who knows really. βI don't know about that.β Eye roll, βI liked Ron for a timeβa long time actuallyβbut it isn't like that anymore. We're all just friends, best ones.β She shrugged her shoulders, taking another glance back at the pair before concentrating back on the boy in front of her, βSebastian... you wouldn't happen to be jealous, would you? Of Ron and Harry?β

β€ @stillsails asked:
β well , at least iβm trapped here with you . β (from Sebastian)
ββOh yes, they were absolutely trapped. The library had closed and the pair had clearly lost track of time ( Hermione's usual activity actually ), but they had stayed well after her usual βpack up and leaveβ time. They were in their little corner, sitting at Hermione's favourite table, looking up some text about this special artifact that Sebastian had an interest inβbut when it came to the time to head back to their dorms, the library doors were locked, and rather tightly. Yes, she could use Alohomora to get them out, but she knew the librarian tended to lock things up rather securely throughout the night, so using Colloportus behind them would most likely be recognised.
ββGetting on the bad side of Madam Pince wasn't worth it, especially to Gryffindor's biggest βswotββshe didn't want a ban from the library.
βββIt's as if you want to be trapped with me,β The curly haired witch glanced in the Slytherin's direction, her brow raising at him. βYou didn't happen to plan this, did you? Staying this late?β

β€ @fcrgetmenctt asked:
is that a serious question? - Freya
βββYes, of course it is!β The witch's nose scrunched up as her eyes narrowed toward the other girl, her lips pressing together in a straight line. They were on the topic of Theodore, Freya's twin brother. The ordeal with this so called Ravenclaw girl was an annoying one, and the Slytherin boy had been moping for weeks. Was this girl really that important that she made him feel like utter crap? She had seen boys like Malfoy not really bat an eye, but maybe he just didn't care to begin with. Too busy being a pompous prat, probably.
ββTheodoreβTheoβhowever, was clearly taking this to heart. Not that she assumed he wouldn't, everyone was different after all, regardless of the house they were sorted into.
βββI just... I'm confused, that's all.β Her brows knitted in the middle as her chocolate orbs glanced away to the boy's table. Malfoy, Zabini and Theo sitting together, the two of the one in question βattemptingβ to console him in their own weird way. Boys. βWere they really that serious?β
