Natasha Marley: A Vision of Pure Beauty!

Natasha Marley, who grew up in the U.K. of Russian parents, is one of the prettiest women in the Greater SF World Community scene. We say she is among the 10 prettiest SF Models/SF Entrepreneurs/Social Media Smoking Darlings-Social Network Cigarette Girls. She landed at No. 23 on our "unofficial" official Top-25 all-time favorite SF models list published on vs120shound released in January 2023. That was too low on the list, ought to have been higher, we proclaim in hindsight (Ah! 20/20 vision in retrospect!). Expect to see her in the Top-15 the next time we get around to re-compiling "The List" many months or a couple of years from now. We'll let you digest this Video of The Week | Hall of Fame division post to assess and rate her beauty and smoking style/power as you feel, as you see fit, as how it strikes your fancy. We simply adore her look, style, elegance and classiness!

. . . well, Ms. Marley, now a mother of two young children and retired from the public eye, was one of the more prolific SF models on the Smoking-Models (U.K.) family of SF websites. She appeared in 29 projects, 17 on Smoking-Models and 12 for www.ElegantSmoking.com. Her term with S-M began on September 14, 2009 and finished on June 1, 2020 -- and we believe those are dates of the videos' release not filming or completion of production -- and her career with ElegantSmoking started on July 31, 2009 and ended on April 9, 2020.

Her Instagram account, IG@therealnatashamarley, nearly has been scrubbed clean of any evidence of her smoking. The informed guess is that she has left cigarettes behind for a healthier lifestyle and to be a better role model for her young, impressionable children. One image remains and that is an IG@smoking_temptresses post that was added, ostensibly by Natasha or the folk(s) running her IG page. Kind of stick out now, we'd say. Cannot pretend the past did not exist. It can be revisited and changes can be made in lifestyle, career and life paths from what was experienced and learned during someone's past. Could be the case here.

This is a grand Megapost! effort by us. Several others of them on our brand have had more packs but this is the most content. What is a pack exactly (not done elsewhere and we've never explained, so here goes . . . )?

A pack for our purposes is an SF image, and there are three kinds -- GIF; photograph; video. A "post" is also a pack but, of course, it almost never is one image, ordinarily several or many but not exceeding 30 photos because that's the tumblr maximum.

It might be nice to see others in the tumblr SF-Content posting realm move forward with such an approach but that is unlikely. We're fine with the standard, traditional one-photo or one-video or one-GIF style the everyone else employs; we continue to do it ourselves but rarely nowadays. We love the great SF blogs/vlogs/webpages on tumblr, from which we re-blog mostly now on vs120shound-2. Our favorites -- and we realize some of you who follow us are aware of our preferences -- seem to be recently thelibrarian120, gomerianworld, smokingscholar, rtpsmk, qwerty53421, thesmokegod (zeusbabes) and blackmaca13, to name a likely Top-7 for us. Those wonderful pages are one photo or one video or one GIF. And they are sensational, extraordinary at it. And there is a lot creativity out there, just not Megaposts!, which take a lot of time to prepare, produce and publish. We're fine with that. We are comfortable with it. It works for us. We do this for you all ("y'all" . . . lived in Texas for 18 months) and for us, for our entertainment.

Speaking of our favorite tumblr SF blogs . . . we thank smokingscholar whose post is "re-blogged" in our style for our VOTW | Hall of Fame division post here today! That post from "The Scholar" on April 27, 2023 has received 267 positive responses, likes/re-blogs thus far! That video we've seen before but in an edited down version, so it was a treat for us to see at full length. Hope you enjoy.

Reflections on December and the (reading) year that was

Because this is the wrap-up for the final month of 2021, I will not be including any goals for next month here. Coming soon will be a post detailing my reading goals for the rest of 2022 – watch this space.

December was a good month for me. Not only did I finish five books, but I also achieved – nay, surpassed – my goal of 65 books read in 2021. 70 books, people!

I have only one favourite this month – Social queue by Kay Kerr. It was such a wonderfully honest, well-written book, and it earned a four-and-a-half star rating from me – one of only five I gave out this year. A book has to have practically no flaws for me to give it a rating like that, and Social queue smashed it out of the park. My only slight quibble with it was some plotlines that weren’t quite resolved satisfactorily.

2021 was a year of highs and lows for me, both personally (thank you, COVID-19) and literarily (is that a word? I think not, but I’m going with it anyway). I’m not going to summarise ALL my thoughts because that would take way too long, but overall I’m pleased with 2021 in terms of reading. Fiction – to nobody’s surprise - made up most of my reading material this year, although I’m beginning to appreciate the value in non-fiction reads. I plan to read more of those in 2022, but that’s another post.

Also to nobody’s surprise was the fact that the majority of my fiction reads were aimed at young adults – a whopping 54 out of 70.

As always, I try to read diversely, even though I don’t always succeed. Out of the 70 books I read this year, 17 were by non-white authors, 19 were #OwnVoices, and at least five of those identified somewhere on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, and one of those identified themselves as having a disability.

Another thing that’s important to me in my reading is supporting the work of Australian (and Australian-based-but-born-overseas) authors, whose books are among my favourites this year. I’d like to draw your attention to the work of Lili Wilkinson, Leanne Hall, Sophie Gonzales, Rhiannon Wilde and Kay Kerr.

This will be the last of the Wrap-Ups for now, mostly because they take a while to do (hello, we’re six days into January) and I suspect few people actually read them. I also want to do some personal exploration via reading that I would like to keep on the down-low. You can still follow what I’m reading though – if you want to – as I’m participating in @bookbandit’s TBR Buster Challenge 2022 and will provide periodic updates on my progress throughout the year.

To all my followers – over 2000 of you now! – thank you so much for the likes, reblogs, and messages. I wouldn’t be on Tumblr if I didn’t enjoy what I was doing, so don’t worry, I’m still going to be around – but I’m coming to realise that I need to use social media less for my own mental well-being.

✦ quadrant based attraction - a revamp

the quadrant system is a model of attraction created by the webcomic homestuck. while someone has already broken down the quadrants into facets of attraction here, we figured we would take our own stab at it! (with permission from the original creator of course!) this is meant for anyone interested in the concept, although it helps to have prior knowledge! if you find this attraction model appealing, a wikipedia page exists that explains it well here, but we'll be going in depth ourselves under the cut!

and now for a more in depth explanation of quadrants and each facet of attraction! as you can see, there are four quadrants - matespritship or matespritian (heart), moirallegiance or moirallegian (diamond), kismesissitude or kismesian (spade), and auspisticism or auspistian (club).

they're divided into two groups: red romance fueled by love/positive feelings, and black romance fueled by negative feelings/hate. you can have multiple people in one quadrant, or only one, the concept of quadrants is polyamorous by default, but some choose to have only one moirail, kismesis etc. you can also have different sexualities for different quadrants! for example: you could be a gay man who is exclusively in matespritships with men, but could be in a moirallegiance with anyone of any gender. you could also be in an auspisticism with multiple genders, this is because both moirallegiance and auspisticism are usually based on platonic feelings as opposed to romantic or sexual. this does not invalidate the person's status as a gay man, it's just how they would do quadrants!

flipping or "vacillating" between quadrants is a natural occurrence as well. the feelings you may have for someone can be complicated and if you feel you'd want to be moirails with someone as opposed to in a kismesissitude or any other form of vacillation it's just something to talk over with your quadmate!

red romance -

matesprites: matespriteship is closest to what we know as traditional romance, it is love for another person romantically and being in a relationship with them. it is also known as the flush quadrant. it's an alternative to traditional romance in the sense that it's a few new terms for how we view romance. singular: matesprite informal: flushmate verbal: i'm in hearts with x, i'm flush for x symbol: <3, ♥

moirails: moirallegiance is equated better in human terms to queerplatonic relationships, and it's an incredibly important quadrant. it is important to note that while close to a queerplatonic human relationship, it is still a form of romance and should be treated as such. moirails keep each other stable and grounded, they are there to help one another and they are extremely close. they participate in moirail based activities such as feelings jams, sessions in which the moirails will vent or talk about their feelings with support from their moirail. there are also shoosh paps, in which you shoosh someone to calm them and pap them as well (a little pat to ground them). your moirail also checks over relationships you have, they are in charge of keeping you safe as you are in charge of keeping them safe, it is a mutual support system based on deep love for one another! moirallegiance is a conciliatory quadrant, meaning it is typically not a sexual relationship, but every moirallegiance is different and has different boundaries/ways of existing! it's not all the fluffiest stuff, you can always have banter with your moirail, as long as deep down you both know how much you both care for one another. in the end it's all about how YOU work with your relationships! singular: moirail informal: palemate/diamond verbal: i'm in diamonds with x, i'm pale for x symbol: <>, ♦

black romance -

kismesis: a kismesissitude is a relationship founded on mutual respect and hatred. usually a kismesis is accompanied by underlying sexual attraction but you can be any orientation and have a kismesis. there are of course different ways to be in a kismesis with someone, but the general concept is that you both hate each other in ways that will build the other up, the constant one uppage of the relationship forces either kismesis to try and be a better person than they once were, either to prove a point or to rub it in the face of their kismesis. the most important thing to remember though is a kismesis is founded on respect just as much as it is hatred. without respect, it could very quickly turn abusive, which is obviously not okay. when dealt with healthily, a kismesis is a very good quadrant to have, it stabilizes the rest of your quadrants by giving you someone who you can be angry with and at, someone who will be angry with and at you, and someone who will constantly challenge you as a person. there is often times lots of banter/snarky remarks. singular: kismesis informal: pitchmate/spade verbal: I'm in spades with x, I'm pitch for x symbol: <3<, ♠

auspistice: an auspisticism involves three people: two people who would be in a kismesis and one who mediates between them. the auspice is in charge of making sure two in a hypothetical kismesis don't get out of hand and harm each other or others around them, as its an entirely possible occurance. when you are an auspice it is your job to make sure that your pair stay in line, if they don't there could be dire consequences and people could get hurt. the auspice is the only one feeling ashen for the pair, as the pair are constantly attempting to be in a kismesissitude. there are often feelings of fond exasperation towards an auspice's pair.
